Hi Walking the Path,

Everyone really is different in what works for them, however there have been techniques such as the "rope" method discussed here a number of times. While  I tried OBE for a while, I now do something called astral phasing. So, as phasing is a bit different from obe, I can't recommend an obe method other than to say RB's "rope" method has been popular.

Try using the search function at the top of the page. It's really quite easy. Just bring up the search engine, type in the words "obe techniques" or "rope method" for example, and then search the "OBE discussions" forum for say, the last six months. You should come up with a lot of previous posts. If not, PM me and I'll help you out.

Finally, take a look at the File Library for Robert Bruce's Treatise on OBE, which is a free download, or visit his website at http://www.astralpulse.com/ where you can download the treatise as well as New Energy Ways (NEW). There is a lot of information here, just look around at previous posts via the search engine, and don't forget the file library too.

Very best to you inyour astral studies,

Hello Walking the Path
The techinque I have the most success with is 4-2 breathing to relax the body and enter trance state. I then wait for imagery with a clear mind. If light rings from I try and move my consciousness into the center surrounding myself with light free from physical body thoughts. At this stage I have either strong pictures, landscaps I move into and become part of or a tunnel forms from the rings and I move down it to my destination.
With this techinque I have keeped consciousness to find myself in a 3d void, attend astral school ,flown over landscaps, protrude my astral head and other limds and seperate within my physical body surrounded by blue sparkling comets.
These are my success in conscious projection but from lucid dreams I find it better over all for RTZ and AP.
Take care Walking the Path

I agree with Kromeknight. Going from a Lucid Dream to OBE is a lot easier. Its the only way I have been able to do it.

hello

Thank you for your posts and advice.
I can LD when i set my mind on it, but i lose lucidity easily, and when i wake up it still seems like a dream. I figured that actual conscious AP would be much more clear, and fun. That's why i'm asking for techns after all :P

This is only easy if one can easily lucid dream. I have a problem with lucid dreaming. Rarely can I get much lucidity in my dreams and it is even more rare that I realize I am dreaming. So this will probably never work for me and others. Though I do know of some that this method is best for.

There is one method that I have not seen mentioned and that I usually use more by accident than intent but can sometimes be the best way. You lay down, relax, and try to get your body to go to sleep. Once your body is well relax, slowly let your mind drift, but you must be aware of how far it is from slipping off to sleep. Whenever you feel your mind get close to slipping off to sleep, jerk it back awake, but only your mind. You want your body to go to sleep so try not to think about your physical body. Usually after a few times of jerking your mind awake you will find yourself out of body.
As you can probably imagine I sort of discovered this by accident one time when I was trying to project but I was tired and my mind kept drifting off. I would catch it before it would go to sleep, and one time when I brought it back I was out of body. I think the good thing about this method is that you avoid experiencing the exit sensations which can be distracting and sometimes make one too excited to project.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

I agree with you fallnangel77, in that avoiding the exit sensation should increase your odds of success. That is why I preffer OBEing out of a lucid dream. And yes getting lucid within a dream is tricky, but once you master it (which I have not yet fully) any "psychic" exercise is much easier and more powerful, or so I've read.

Your technique sounds good. I will try it.

Hi everyone,  I use a technique with hynosis the first one is called the Hammick technique and the other is the swing technique.

After reaching Somnambulism I imagine, pretend, visualize, or picture my self laying in a Hammick between to tall trees.  As the hammick begins to swing slowly, as this happens I begin to feel the motions of swinging back and forth, back and forth from the left then the right.

Now the hammick begins to swing higher and higher and stronger and stronger... Now Im feeling the pull of centrifical force pulling me out as the swings more and more.

Using the same technique to go into trans with hypnosis into Somnambulism I use the swing technique.  As the swing becomes higher and higher to the point I almost swing over the swing set I let go with my hands and let the force of the swing lift and push me out of the swing which represents my body.

If anyone wants to use this technique you can use it.

Sincerely
Frank (hypnotist) PS If you need more techniques e-mail me a hypntist41@aol.com    or if your on Yahoo IM it  thehypnotist1
