Ki is basically energy. The energy for every living thing on the planet. This energy life force keeps us alive.

Ki is vital energy, necessary for all life in the entire Universe in all spheres.

It is also known as "Chi", "Psi" "Prana", "Orgone" and many other names, and is the basis of many healing methods. It is best thought of as "Vital Energy". We all breath vital energy, not only through the nose and mouth, but also through the pores of the entire body.
