Yes, I am.

The sense has been erratic and depends a lot on my state of mind at the time. As to good or bad, I would say at present that I am very glad I am an empath, as it has allowed me to develop a link with my guide that I possibly wouldn't have if I wasn't able to recognise feelings as well as I can.

In the past it has been both a gift and a burden. It's good to know if someone is being genuine when you are talking to them, but I have also felt waves of dark emotions from people that are really quite offputting.

I have had a very hard time accepting my empathy. I've had it all my life, used it all my life, but it grew stronger and stronger.. I've had this empathyblock for a long time, and it made me realize how empty I feel without empathy.. When I got rid of it, I finally accepted it, and now I'm able to see the good sides of it; I see it as a gift, not as a curse, as I used to see it.

I recognize what you described, though I'm not getting such 'future/past-emotions' often. My personal opinion is that those emotions you're feeling are something from the past; I believe that where once very strong emotions occured, those emotions will remain in that place for a long time, to be picked up by empaths like you and me. If you ever go to a place where there was once a war, or, to name a random example, if you go to the Arena's in Italy, where the Gladiators fought, you will feel this special, mixed sensation, varieted from joy to fear and hate.. A house where once someone was murdered will usually never be inhabited long, and I believe that is because of the emotions still hanging around there.

Any natural empaths around? I'm just being curious.. I would love to hear some experiences of other empaths, and if they see it as a 'gift' or a 'curse'.
