MJ-12

Wow, thats really amazing. I always thought that it would be a violent revolution. I definetely like your way better though. But will enough people ever convert?

Rob

Totally man. Interesting to see how the trend has been for hundreds of years that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. When Rome fell most of everything was controlled by about 11 people. Today in America, the figures I have: Roughly 50 or so years ago the top 1% of population contained 47% wealth, now it is 67% (63% when Bush Jr first came into power). And its not going to be a linear increase.

Plato used to say that when a country gets to this sort of stage, there are 2 options: totalitarian government, or anarchy which erodes away the current power structure. MJ-12's quiet revolution is a nice form of anarchy, as it removes you from the system of heirarchical control.
Of course there is another way - outside intervention. Whether from a massive comet flying by and shredding the planet (planet x as it looks to be heading our way, revelations styleee), totally destroying all order, or perhaps the US govt will just annoy so many people half the world will invade.

Ultimately, I see a form of aided implosion.

I'm afraid to say I dont think MJ-12's idea is going to work, though I would love it if it did, as there are just too many people sitting around with their eyes wide shut, slumming on the couch, and not giving a crap what goes on in the world around them as long as they have their 300 channels and 28 brands of peanut butter. Because, most people just want to get by, from day to day. Which leaves a few people around who want the best for themselves and others, and are prepared to fight/work for it, and a few who just want the best for themselves and dont care about anyone else. Trouble is the latter group are the people in power, and have been for some time, and there are too few of the former group and even fewer who have a clue what to do about it.

There are so so many ways of keeping control, its sick....

I'm either going to trust in God to save me, or go hide in a cave!

As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master.

Those who do not learn the lessons from history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them. Unfortunately humans are slow learners.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Right now, the tax cuts have destroyed thousands of jobs: unemployements are up, and inflation is rising. The US public image is the worst in its history. We have started a baseless war in an attempt to grab the last remnants of the failing resource oil: and instead we have created thousands of new terrorists. And even more, we have created an impossible situation. If we stay in Iraq, we risk more US casualties, and another 10billion dollars to keep them there. If we take them out, then we leave Iraq in a state of anarchy. Saddam will regain power, and even if he never had any WMD, he will surely get them now, since virtually every other country wont mind seeing the US get a taste of their own medicine.

And the really sad part is, that Dubya will probably be re-elected so we can have four more years of Oil wars and being the global police because there aren't enough of us to change the polls...if only I could vote. [:(!]

I think we should find a way to dose people in the govt with LSD and unleash the madness.

astraljazz

oh...and if we can get enough people to unite, stockpile on supplies, and quit the jobs they hate so much, it would have to be a significant number, but that would throw a kink in the operations. Also, put us into survival mode.

Consilidation. Over time, weaken individuals and strengthen corporations. It can be done with taxes,  imperceptably, over time. Its happening now, as we speak. For hundreds of years theres been a conspiracy of Plutocrats against normal people. My reasoning goes as follows:

1. The main ingrediant to become a member of the US government, and any other government, is money. From Benjamain Franklin to George Dubya Bush, the only thing they have is money. Leadership, personality, and charisma help, but only money matters. The worse you are at these things however, the more money you need. In other words, its a good thing George Dubya is REALLY rich....

2. Taxes, what happens to them? If its really that important that we pay them, shouldnt we know where they go? well, maybe we shouldnt, I mean, what we do know is bad enough. for example, over 10 billion dollars a year is spent on the Isreali Military. Why? just so they can kill more Palestinians? Im not saying that the Palestinians are better, there just less funded. Why are we giving the Isrealis fighter jets to fight the Palestinian donkey carts? ask George Dubya.

3. Person records. Police officers, parents, teachers, and social workers can see them, but the only person who cant is YOU! another puzzler to ask your local congressman.

4. The Media. Do I really have to give examples of all the lies and stories they come up with to cover up George Dubyas desperate War for Oil? Nope...didnt think so.

5. The UN. Its the one place the US cant control, so its ignored instead. In fact, UN weapons inspector Hans Blix resigned after the US ignored their finds...(of no WMD) in Iraq, and attacked anyway.

6. Decadence. Most americans dont need 300 channel cable. They dont need 28 brands of peanut butter. But they have them anyway.

We are living in the Dying Era of a great Empire. The United States will fall. And with it all it represents. It no longer represents the ideals on which it was founded, it represents all that is decadent and overdone. It is the worst of humanity.

It is, in fact, our right and duty to revolt when the country is under a rule that denies us basic human rights. The constitution and common sense tell us this.
