Knowledge from Dreams

I've never had this kind of dream, but ive heard alot about them on this site. I think these dreams allow a rapid amount of data to be transfered from your subconscious to your active mind. So in effect, your accesing your internal file-keeping system and dregging up knowledge. The only flaw with my theory is when you get info about something you never knew before. Maybe you are accessing someone elses subconcscious?

You think so? Well, there were some people I know, psychologists (I don't know if I spelled it right) who work in my school. But still, altough I don't know the topic of discussion something tells me it wasn't about standard psychological matters. But I think your theory could indeed be correct. One more thing. If it is possible that I gained and stored this knowledge, than can I access it? Through astral projection perhaps? Or will this knowledge become usefull in time?

I read in one of Monroe's books that he attended certain schools which would give knowlege, but he didnt remember them.  Later on as he got older he went to the place and it looked familiar, it was then a guide or someone like that told him he had gone there nightly back in the day but he just wasn't really allowed to remember.

I personally think most of the knowlege you gain in those situations wont ever be remembered.  I mean the ones that are already forgotten.. Im sre there is a way to remember new ones.  However, I think they might add to a certain "abstract understanding".  It might be where you understand the nature of certain things, but you just cant explain it with facts or the "I read this somewhere" type of explanation for knowing.

You might want to ask timeless about this because I believe she has had experiences with schools in the Astral.

Goingslow, timeless, thanks for your reply. I think I'll agree with your opinion. We have psychology at school, and I've noticed that I can understand some things related to class better, perhaps it is related to that dream. Perhaps with time I will regain some pieces of those lessons. Thanks for your help.

By the way, timeless your experiences sound really interesting. I had another of those learning dreams, it was in some kind of a theater, and there wasn't so much people, unfortunately my alarm clock turned on before I started to receice that "river of knowledge". Well, I quess I'll have better luck next time...

Hi Pandemonium,
   I recently had a dream about studying for an exam on space related topics. The science part of this type of topic is too hard for me. So even in a dream I skipped remembering and/or taking note of what I was actually studying for. In the end (even now), I don't really know what I was studying for.
   Kind of sad that I did that: could have written the info down for later days.
    After reading your post, I thought to myself that I should make more effort to sit through my dreams and take note. []

Thanks for replying. I wonder what it is like to actually personally ask questions in a dream. As in being awake enough to pose a question to people in dreams. I guess u would also have to be able to meet people face to face.
 I only saw myself asking  a question about the contents of a video tape.

Hello, I have an interesting LD/dream experience to share. I had a dream, and unfortunately I became lucid too late, at the very end of the dream.

I was sitting in a huge auditorium, there was some kind of discussion being held, the subject was psychology. In the dream I received huge amount of data about human psyche. It felt like a river of knowledge is passing through my mind, incredible! I couldn't understand much of the data given, there were alot of words too complex for me to understand, the data was just too complex to be understood and remembered. Perhaps I would remember more of it if I got lucid sooner, and then willing myself to understand more. It looked so natural that I thought it was real and not a dream. I got lucid when I saw a man in front of me levitating few centimeters above the floor. Unfortunately, dream already started to fade, and I couldn't maintain it. While I was awakening, I still felt knowledge coming through me, and then it stoped. Did anyone else had this kind of dreams? If you did, could you remember any data that you were given?
