Dear Fitzpatrick,

Healing topics are very expansive and would take quite a while to discuss hear.  There are many different forms of healing, pranic and reiki are 2 of the most popular.  I personally prefer reiki but that is mainly because my knowledge of it far outways my knowledge of pranic healing.

Those 2 sites are very useful for starting out.  The sharereiki.org forum is a great place to ask questions about the different forms of reiki.  If you have any specific questions after looking through the information on these 2 links please ask and I or someone else will be more that willing to try to help.

In my opinion, healing works sort of like jumpstarting a dead car.  Take a person with a fully charged spiritual "battery"(think chakras).  They lay there hands/focus awareness(the cables...) on the other person, energizing their energy system.  It doesn't instantly heal broken limbs(though I'm not claiming anything to be impossible), but it does provide relaxation and help speed up the bodies own healing process. It can be used to introduce/attune people into some of the lesser known aspects of life.
