1. They will not know you are APing - its going to look as if you dozed off.

2. Do not spawn more than one topic per day - its bad for your karma. I tell you!

I guaruntee you that if you doze off and happen to be having an out of body experience, something as simple as a fly buzzing around your head will instantly snap you back into your body.  Nevermind two grown ups shaking you, trying to wake you up!

Do what I did in your situation: don't tell them anything!  Just secretly work on relaxing, projecting, etc.  What your parents don't know won't hurt them.

Wow you are full of questions [:)]  Ok like jeff said, it can be bad if your parents think you're crazy, just let it be.  People are afraid of things they do not understand, like..hum ehat  good one?  Ah! Snakes!  People fear that snakes want to harm you, they don't, it happens, but they don't go looking to kill someone.  If you really wanted to make your parents believe, AP in the RTZ and find something that would prove it...like check the mail and mention haw many bills they got that day!  That will make your parents freak out and then you have to go see a shrink [:P]  But seriously, if they are trying to wake you up, it will happen.  I've noticed that my room is not the best place for me to ap, because when the AC comes on it frightens me. Not like I don't want the ac to come on, it just startles me back to the beggining stage [:(]

I advise you to not discuss this with your parents. Just drop the subject and do not mention it to them. It seems clear that they are not ready to deal with such things and you cannot force anyone to deal with this until they are ready. If you continue pressing the matter the situation will most likely get worse for you and cause your parents a lot of unneeded stress. I know that you probably want to talk about this with others and have them accept what you are doing. But I think most of us do not have anyone in real life that we talk to about such subjects, that is why we are here.

If you do feel the need to discuss this with them, I think what was said in another post around here somewhere had a good point. You should change your terminology to something they find more appealing. If they do not like the thought of you meditating or clearing your mind, tell them you are practicing focusing your mind. If they do not like you APing, tell them you are just resting/taking a nap or whatever. Instead of telling them that you are projecting/leaving your body, tell them about the experiences you had in a dream. Who can be afraid of you dreaming? Who will look silly then if they do talk to a someone else?
"Our child lays down during the day to take naps and dreams, what should we do?"
"Umm I fail to see your problem?"

You are just going to have to get use to the fact that not everyone is going to agree with you.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

As a spirit, you have the right to try to astral project whenever you want. It is none of your parents business.

NEVER EVER tell your parents, especially if they dont want you doing this stuff and freak out about it. There is just absolutely no reason at all why you should let them know. It just causes problems when they dont accept you're doing it and in the long run will hinder your progress.

My friend's parents are like that. They think its some kind of devil worship or something. They caught him making a psiball or something and got mad and were not going to let him come over to my house ( I got him into psionics) and so then my mom wanted to know why he couldn't come over and I ended up having to explain a bunch to her and showed her the letter on www.psipog.net . She didn't really care she just thought it was stupid. That is actually a good idea, show your parents the letter http://www.psipog.net/show.php?id=31 then they might understand there is nothing harmful about it.

beavis

You're right. It is stupid.

"Q: Is this a religious or spiritual practice?
A: Absolutely not. While many of the uninformed media and masses believe psionic practice is intrinsically related to spiritualism and mysticism, that is not actually true."
