Too many sticky around

Yea, I had the same problem... So I switched over to the "Active Topics" instead.

Usually, you can have alot there at a time, but sometimes you won't...so what I do is set it to all posts within 2 hours.  Then I set it to refresh every 5 minutes.  This works quite well [8D]

Hi h2owong,

The sticky topics are made so because of a recurring beneficial value. After a while, if the need changes, the sticky is removed. Try reading the sticky topics, there is a great deal of good information to be found in some of the old posts.

You know what I find that an attempt to "stear the topics" I find it problematic that someone can sit and tell us what we should read or what is beneficial . Maybe I am the only one feeling slightly manipulated.

Maybe you are the only one feeling that way Mustardseed, who knows? The point is, no one is forcing anyone to read anything they don't want to read. In my personal view, however, the sticky topics are beneficial if you are interested in the particular subject matter reflected therein. Further, the subject matter in the Astral Consciousness forum stickies reflect a principal theme of the forum itself, the astral.

yep maybe I am but you know what Nick I think I am alone about a lot of things here. That is however not a problem. The truth is not always revealed to the majority on the contrary the majority seem to be wrong more often than not. Just to adress it we are not only talking astral here. I wish you would open the Moderators Forum for all to see. What is going on here my friend.?

Not everything has to be but sometimes things are. I reserve myself the right to question things I meet on my way, in churches and among Christians and pagans too. I didn't know you could get pills for that, anyway I dont need them I am a natural[]

Why do we even have stickies in the first place, right?  They just take up space on the front page... they're annoying to look at!

Not really... If these topics weren't stickies, it would make it hard for people to dig through the topic to find them.  There are thousands and thousands of topics here!  A brand new topic can slip right onto page 3 quite quickly, and that has happened before.  Sometimes the important topics becomes "cold"... but it's still important to SOME people, so if they want to catch up on it, they still can!

You don't have to read anything you don't want to... I haven't even read all of the stickies.

Greetings everyone,

As Nick has correctly pointed put, the stick topics are ones of particular long term value and interest, the sort of information which we do not want to have sliding off the "scope" after a few days. The only main forum with quite a few stickies is Astral Consciousness; however, the information contained within those sticky topics is profound and extremely useful to anyone learning Astral projection.

I do take the point however, and will consider how we might conserve the information while reducing the stickies in the main forums.
