Lucid Dreaming

I think lucid dreaming is a training ground for obe's since you have to have a certain amount of awareness to obe and lucid dreams are similar though less intense. Also Tibetian Buddhist Lamas say that developing awareness while lucid dreaming is good training for the time after one dies since many things can trick your awareness of who and what you are-which is also similar to obe experiences. I have not dwelt much on the sybolism of lucid dreams because it seems like it matters more about how aware you can become.

let me tell you about a lucid dream i had, ok it starts out as me in this space like environment. the environment around me is so real too! i seen lots and lots of pink astral bodies flying towards this portal to. so i guess i followed along with them sinc i didnt have anywhere really to go, as i was going  along i see that the portal is spinning with bright orange and green swirls, i go through it and end up in this town like area. as im walking down the street i see a car, at first i thought i AP'd but i guess not since i saw this women driving around in a car. I was like " WOW! how did you get this up here and she said she materialized it there, it felt so real like as if she took a  physical car and brought it to the astral world. anyways after the car thing, i headed down the street towards this supermarket, i go in and explore the place, i was so excited too because i knew i was dreaming and i really wanted a book so i could write eerything down that happened. i passed the slushy machine and went down the snack isle than up the cleaning isle, these things were so cool to me and facinated me, not in a way of what they were but where they were. and where i was to!. after exploring i thought id get something to eat, so i got some mini oreos, some twinkies and a sub sandwich. after leaving the isle i spot a girl and her family, we talk for a few minutes and all of a sudden we start fighting "huh?"
i take her leg off with a kung fu kick and the clerk comes over and is about to kick us out for disturbance, i asked him if i could check some things out before leaving and he agreed. we walk up to the counter and when i place my food on the counter i notice it had changed! "what!" they were all vegetables, i was like this cant be! the clerk had told me that the food changed every once in a while, especially if you say that your dreaming. than i remember back in the isle i did say that and i noticed a blurry kind of thing, like when a dream ends you know? anyways he gave me a method of changing the food back and than he started reading my thoughts. somewhere along the line i was thinkin of this weird dreary place which reminded me of the nightmare before christmas and a videogame "weird". he told me it was the land of the lost and forgotten, which was named fa'grey island. i was kind of shocked to hear it and hard to believe it. but after that i thought about getting a hotel and checking upon my body and see how it was doing seems how i thought i was AP'ing and right at that moment it all ended. and this is the great part, i was in the middle between waking up and trying to keep that dream up! freaky, i was part way in the dream world and part way out lol weird!.
but thats my lucid dream. hope you liked it.

lol, I've had many people tell me not to say, "Im dreaming" in a dream but I've done it once.  I was walking in a hallway of 8th graders (I guess I was a 6th grader in my dream)... then I looked behind and I saw my friend Fermina (Wow, Young'uns ><) I said, "Look, I know Im dreaming."  And my crush (Who also looked young) was walking infront of me and he pushed me then I said, "Hey now.." Then I hugged him.  x_X  Strangeness.  Anyways, I've had a lot of Lucid Dreams.  But I have a question, What does Lucid Dreaming do for you?
