sounds like some higher being sent you a very blunt message in a way you'd understand....can't think why they'd suppose you aren't ready.....what are your reasons for trying to AP?....

wel I a m a very blunt person, this was probably the reason for this. My reasoning for AP is not just for something cool. I have a spritual struggle that I am trying to sort out. I'm not looking for whether or not to believe in my christian beliefs, but to see if there is a little bit different of a story then I am told and led to believe.

I had a similar experience as well, but it was a voice and not a sign that told me I was not ready. But it was implying that I was not ready for a certain area and not astral projection in general. No time to give details now.

X-Wolf, Maybe the appearance of the sign or message for some people may come from their own fear. We do create many things until we are well practiced, I used to sub-consciously create white fogs so I didn't have to look at or remember something. Just a thought!

Not being ready for something that you are doing? To be doing it would suggest that you are very ready, so what else could be holding you back?

Well said Nagual.

You understand that beliefs are a poor sustitute for Experience, and that's a huge step for anyone.

Not sure about there being only one Truth. I've read and heard it many times and it never has resonated in me. I feel there is The Truth which encapsulates many, many things.

And your suggestion to "make your own", is one of those truths. It tells us the fact that we are the creators of our experience.

In fact I remember a "you are not ready" experience too... I was having a lucid dream and I ran into 3 monks. One of the monk told the others: "He is not ready yet" then he touched me and I instantly woke up. Damn monk, I was having fun in my dream!!! [

I vaguely remember that when they said that I was losing energy ( that was actually heard, the rest was a sign ) it said I was losing alot of energy through my head. Which was odd cause I was using a method of drawing up energy, flowing it around me, then the bad stuff out the head. Make sense? I don't understand how I'd be losing the energy....I haven't really had the oppurtunity to try again lately, school and work but I'll be trying again soon!

I've been thinkin about it more and more and it seems that the more I think about it, the more memory of it I regain. I remember it was in a desert....a pyramid was nearby which I thought was odd....
I remember the sand being warm, and was swept by the wind so it had that pattern on the sand..if that makes sense.

Odd stuff!

Here is my experience, now that I have more time to type it out.

I was laying down on my bed meditating when I felt in contact with the astral. I am not sure how to describe it exactly because I was fully aware of my physical body and yet my astral body at the same time. I was looking into darkness when this ring appeared. It seemed to be an entrance to a world. I was curious so I went to check it out, never actually leaving contact with the physical. The ring drifted closer and as I looked into it everything inside was distorted. It is really hard to discribe. It was kind of like looking through a collection of drops of water. I felt confusion coming from it and the more I looked and the closer I got to it the more confused I felt. I was never afraid, but very curious about it. As I was about to "step" out of my physical body and into the ring a voice told me "You are not ready" and I stopped. I was actually freaked out because that was the first time I ever heard anyone talk to me. I am not sure who it was, but I do think that I was not ready for that area because it is pretty clear to me that I would have allowed the confusion to quickly over take me once inside and the experience would have been short lived. Much better experience having brief contact with some ... thing I think.

Strange happening last night. I was in a state of either dream or astral or lucid, wasn't really sure, though it was more lucid then a dream, and I remember trying to go somehwere, odnt' know where, then a message flashed in front of my eyes, like on a road sign you would see a warning on, it said "you are not ready" and said that i was losing alot of energy...too much for what was too happen.....any ideas on this??
