No idea.  Sorry.  I've flown up to the outer edges of the atmosphere and hung over the earth.  I've been to Jupiter as well, and felt the incredible distance, but I didn't feel like my head was going to explode.  Maybe you're just getting excited?

I had a dream that I had a phone call. I answered it. The voice on the phone gave me a message. This message caused me to react in the way you described Nagual. My head started to vibrate in a strange manner, I then took off in a rocketship. I landed awake in my bed. My eyes were closed. Before I opened my eyes, for about a minute I actually thought I was a child about 10 again! I opened my eyes (it was dark), I still thought I was this child of when I was 10. I snapped out of it soon after that, but I thought, WOW!
Maybe this is time travel or regression?

I think to an extent when we are 'lucid' and 'flying' in a lucid dream that there is a bit of our consciousness that interfers in some way. In your case, the experience with your head. In my case, I sometimes lose directional control and other times have difficulty maintaining a certain 'altitude' while flying in a lucid dream. I read somewhere that a part of our nonlucid mind is interfering.

I experience a lot the consciousness problem with being unable to take off or to fly high...  But, my head problem seems a lot different!  It's not really a vibration; it was going to EXPLODE!  [:O][|)]  It was more like trying to go through some kind of "barrier"...

I wish I knew what the explosion means. In my dream I already mentioned, I became the rocketship (hard surface in order to penetrate something). I think this shell was necessary to get through or break the barrior. My guess anyway.

When I was 10 (and there about) I would mind travel to a point of meeting up with a barrior. I think it has been called a void.

Thats pretty interesting. Maybe you are subconsciously associating what you would expect to happen if it were your physical body up there. Like hearing somewhere that there are atmosheric condition changes the closer you get to space that would make your head explode. Unconscious expectation as well as conscious expectation can manifest in that way.
If you will it it is no dream.

That could be a possibility... except that, I would expect more like my body freezing and being unable to breath...

I had something similar - in the dream the phone rang, I answered it by saying hello, suddenly there were multiple voices talking very loud to me down the phone, as the voices kept on speaking/shouting I kept getting very dizzy and a feeling of getting weaker and I remember shouting down the phone to the voices that I was gunna kick their sorry asses and make sure they suffer painfully. I think it was a neg attack being personfied within a dream and me shouting down the phone was my automated defences - it worked though because as I shouted back down the phone at them my dizziness and weak feeling got less and less.

I dont know why that would happen in physical space, but the farther you get from earth in a nonphysical direction, the crazier (more different) the ideas are. Thats why I like to go as far away as I can when I project.
