if you can find a way to contact your higher self you will understand how this works. what you think of as 'you' is just the tip of the whole, real you. the real you is an expanded, brilliant body of light and energy with great wisdom and enormous power. i don't expect you to accept my word on this, but if you want Truth, you have to find it through meditation, prayer and looking within.

Will this hold up in a court of law?

Yes I raped and killed her but it is ok. You see before we were born we both agreed that this would happen. She wanted me to do it to her. I had to do it because it was already planned out. She was a willing participant.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

I know I didn't choose to keep learing the same lesson over and over. When I acheieve a goal it gets ripped away from me via a new twist and then I have to work even harder. When someone is struggling to get teh basics of life and other people show up to interfere with that process then something is extremely wrong.

I did one time manage to find who I think may have been celestial beings. They were full of "its for your own good" and other assorted buzz words and catch phrases. Next time I see them and they tell me I chose this I will EAT THEM! Right now 've got roomates who seem determined to make me move out despiute the fact I have no money for another place. This keeps happening no matter what I do.

Its NOT for my own good. My SOUL is dying! That seems to be the only purpose for this. something possibly sent me here to spiritully die. And even in that there is the ego saying look how important I am.
I used to be a happy child and now I'm bitter and angry because of all the a$$holes who've happened upon me and declared control over me. when I defecnd myself against them I get punished, when I let tehm hurt me I still get punished. I'm at a crossroads but something isn't letting me cross over.

yeah and the whole fact that we can't remember any of this that happened before birth. If it was trully a school of somekind we'd at least have a grasp of the material before the actual test (life).

did you know everything about kindergarden before you went the first time? if we knew all why would we bother to come here at all?
it's not your soul that's dying, it may seem like it, but you are confusing your 'soul' with your emotional turmoil. you aren't the only one going through tumoil, believe me. i too will be homeless in two weeks and don't know what i'm going to do. what lesson are you to learn from your trials? that is the question you need to ask. do you rely on the opinion of others' to form yourself? that's a common error and until you change it (you) you will learn the same lesson, over and over, 'til ya get it right.
when you live a lie, the truth seems very strange.

The analogy of kindergarten is a false analogy. Yes but what if some outside force is not allowing you to learn or else causing the same lesson to be repeated.

This reality is a lie. I am after teh truth! I live the truth but unfortunately this world is one of illusion.

LightLizard

the analogy of kindergarden is only a 'false analogy' if you don't like it. this life is a school, in a very real sense. if you reject that premise there will be no useful learning for you, only pain.
what if you are wrong and there is a greater you that is guiding your life?
when you find a purpose that serves all, your pain will end.

I think the way we currently live life, as a society in general, is a lie and an illusion, but I do not think that physical life in itself is.

And by that logic anything that I like is true and anything I dislike is false. That's bad logic because it is based on teh presumption that we are here to learn something.

Xander,

Not all harm comes because we 'chose' it to.  When we choose the life we wish to live, there are no guarantees.  If there were, then why live the life?  The only thing we know for sure are the starting conditions, what we hope to achieve and what the probable outcome will be.  The rest is left up to our choices and the choices of those around us.

A difficult life is the result of a soul wishing to accept a great challenge or choosing not to choose well.  When you say, "...I know in my soul that something is very very wrong" you may be correct and your life might not be going the way it was planned.  Then again, the point you are at now may have been planned to the last detail so that you would feel exactly the way you do.  You are the only one who will know for sure and it may be sometime before you find out.

I know that last paragraph sounds like double talk, and your right.  The truth is I don't know which is your case.  However, I would consider it very unusual for a soul that chose not to choose to have access to a computer and find their way to this site.

OK, great.  So now I've given you a lot of words and nothing practical.  So, for bearing with me through my ramblings, I'll pass on something I've found to be true that might help you if you take it to heart.  Whenever strife comes into your life, it is usually because you want two things that cannot exist together.  Wanting to work in leading edge technology yet live in a small town of less then 1000 people for example.  Sometimes its just a matter of trying to move too fast in your growth, like eating ice cream fast and getting a headache.

You are the best expert available about your life.  You have already seen that 'something is wrong'.  All you need to do is put your finger on it.  Once you understand the problem, the hard part is over.

I will tell you one last thing in this post.  The wisest of men all started with the same question: "Why?"
When a problem comes along
You must whip it

That should teach the reptilians a lesson! - maybe they will believe in karma then, and stop eating humans!. Seriously though, I have heard that not all aliens taste great. An African shaman named Credo Mutwa supposedly ate a gray, and got very ill. Therefore, let that be a lesson to you: always cook aliens properly - you don't want bad digestion.

Even more seriously though: Yes, there may be no purpose/no lessons to be learnt in life for one incarnation, when isolated from the Higher Self. However, when merged with other aspects(incarnations) of your Higher Self(the sum of all incarnations), things may be a very different matter. The sum is greater than the whole.

An example: In an incarnation of your Higher Self, you may have what you(that incarnation) consider a miserable life as a homeless war veteran - who got thrown out into the streets after the elected elite had had their way with you. You envy the rich or those whose life path had led them down a smooth road without the bumpy rocks that you had encountered.

In another incarnation, in the same span of time, your Higher Self may have an incarnation who is rich and powerful, one of the elected elite, and yet more miserable than the homeless person. Behind the curtains, he is a victim of unreported childhood abuse, and because of this, his sense of reality is so distorted that he in turn becomes a pedophile, and perpetuates the vicious cycle. From his childhood abuse, he has learnt that the jungle law reigns supreme: exploit or be exploited. Therefore he now craves for money and power as a means by which he can be relieved of his childhood trauma. He wants to be in a position of power, to avoid being the underdog. He despises homeless people, and only has one word to say to them "Get a job!" - that is, if he ever lowered himself to the level of speaking to a homeless person(the underdog). There is only on problem for him: He can never get enough. And therefore he is never satisfied. He is miserable(though it doesn't show) and angry (though he is only subconsciously aware of the reason).

Each incarnation considered separately may not have a "purpose". Now imagine these two people merging into one (which they in reality are). The homeless incarnational aspect of the Higher Self sees that, in reality he wasn't really miserable in comparison to the rich, powerful man who was bossing him around while on duty in the army. He also sees that part of what made him miserable was that he was considered miserable by others (Hell is the judgment we receive from others). The rich man sees in the homeless man that he did not HAVE to go to extremes in his cravings in order to be just a little more happy than he was. And so on...

This hasn't been independently verified by aliens, and therefore I can't guarantee the accuracy of it.[:D]

I remember coming to earth before I was born. I knew why I came, but forgot during the transition to physical.

This is why I think I would choose to come here (to increase my energy):

What if the concept that says "you chose your own life" is a lie? Could it be that we indeed have very little choice in our lives. From the moment of birth unto death we have people claiming dominion over us. To think that we chose some person to rape, starve, beat, etc us is potentially absurd. I lok at my life and I am overcome by how little choice i've had in the matter and my well being was often in the hands of those who wished me harm. One might say I chose it and yet on a rational, spiritual, and instinctual level I know that I did not choose that.

Perchance the beleif that we have choice serves a few purposes. it keeps the slaves from rebelling against their oppressors, it keeps others from helping the oppressed, and it keeps many a mind from going insane by comforting the ego.

Yes there is a certain egotistical arrogance in saying that you chose your life, there is also a safety built in so that th circumstances of life don't hurt so much.

Person A thinks "I'm in pain cuz I chose this pain cuz I have a lesson to learn" This soothes the ego, maintains sanity, and keeps person A from beating the tar out of his/her oppressor who may very well be just another psychotic who likes hurting peopl.

Saying one has choice and that they chose their attacker gives a sense of control and increases safety. Yes i'm repeating myself but it baers repeating.

We have to stop kidding ourselves with fanciful notions that we've somekind of power over the actions of others. If I had power over the actions of others I wouldn't be where I am today.

I'm sick of hearing about lessons and karma when I know in my soul that something is very very wrong.

I'm sure i'll have someone telling me to leave or to stop spouting heresy but I feel we must examine our beleifs critically and indeed I have, hence the above questions.
