Hi,

Since you had control of what you were doing then I assumed that you had experienced a Lucid dream, congratulations..

I don't know..My main doubts are just about the surprising lack of control I had. My understand was that when you were Lucid you could control the dream and shape it how you wanted, for me I was "trapped" and it was really weird.

For me, to be lucid is not to be in control...  It's more to be aware of what's going on.

You will find out that every LD and OBEs have different levels of lucidity and control depending on... something (maybe your energy level at the time); maybe beliefs/doubts.

Just because your aware that your dreaming does not mean yu will have total control
over yur dream. Nor should you want total control, imo. Some of my best/meaningful dreams
are when I just go with the flow and see what my sub-conscience is trying to tell me.

Also its been my experiance that if you do try to dominate/control your dream characters they
will not like it and can get very angry. They will comply, but a little tact goes a long way.

Well last night I went to bed around 12:30, after almost finishing Journey of Souls. After doing some of the techniques Nagual suggested, I fell asleep.

I woke up at around 4am after having some strange dreams, where I felt I was communicating with my guides. I'm not sure if this is because I've read all but one chapter in the book in a few hours, or whether it was an actual attempt at communicating with me - hopefully I'll remember some things about it in time.

Anyway, I get up, have some water etc etc then check my email. I get a bit tired and decide to go to bed. This time its really different. I sleep on my stomach, with my arms around a pillow like im hugging it, and I go into this semi unconcious state. It feels really good, and I can hear the outside world, like cats meowing, and cars going past. But I know I'm still awake because im actively imagining things. I guess at first I was a bit confused, and cautious about this new experience.

I believe this was keeping me from going to the next level, so I manage to block thoughts etc. the next thing I know I'm in a hybrid bathroom, I know its in my house in Brisbane, but the tiling is like mine down in Sydney (where I used to live with my parents) and it has a bath like my sisters bathroom. My hands have a swirling energy around them, and I cant support or really control my self on a physical level. I keep falling down, but I use my arms to try and hold onto the walls, or to change where I fall, so I dont hurt myself. I had control of what I was doing, and I was concious, yet..I was uanble to truly control myself and walk around like a free person. Everything also went in slow mo.

I woke up and it was around 6am. So is this a legitimate Lucid Dreaming experience? Or at least on the way there? The way I felt before falling asleep was just crazy, never been in that situation. I was able to enter it 2-3 times until I woke up at 6. Also, when I woke up after this my hands felt really hot. No idea if that swirling stuff around them in the dream was energy or what but..

Thanks for any help and/or interpretation.

Regards,

-Alex
