Maybe it was just a coincidental circumstance where you just incredibly happened to overlook it 3 times in a row, or maybe some one was just messing with you or something.
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

beavis

I could believe I saw it wrong if it hadnt happened before, but this (and other weird things) happen to me too often for that to be true.

If you think a mind is not powerful enough to create or remove a lighter, you are in for a big surprise.

I hate it when objects do that. I can turn a room upside down, and look in the same places 300 times. Give up. Then my mother will walk into the room and point to it in the middle of the floor or something. AHH it drives me crazy just thinking about it.

I've never actually though about why the object wasn't there the first time. I seem to come up with a different theory each time. I finally have lost it. There was a poltergeist.

I don't think you can overlook something three times. Unless under extremely weird circumstances.

I have things happen to me a lot that are like that.  Maybe for some reason if you had gotten the lighter when you wanted it at first something really bad would happen, so something (maybe your mind or maybe not).  But, if you find it there later then it means it safe to use it.

Just a thought.

Lol, join the Weird Experiences Club. ;) I've experienced such things like that too. I like to play games, I'm Nintendofan. So I have Gameboys. We went on holiday, and we stopped at a tankstation while driving our way to France. I put down my Gameboy, get myself something to eat in the shop and return. My gameboy was gone. No, it was not stolen. My sister suggested it perhaps was in my bag. We searched the bag, got all the stuff out, and my sister even pulled it literally over her head. Nowhere to be seen. I searched everywhere but it had disappeared.

A few weeks later, in France (I already bought a new gameboy with the last money I had, being sure I lost it when getting out of the car), I grab my bag to get myself a book. And what do I find, in my bag? My gameboy.

I've also had this game, Golden Sun. I absolutely love that game, and it was the only game I always had my eye on, so that I wouldn't lose it. Before going to sleep, I put the game on my desk in my room. Next day, it was gone. My sister nor my parents took it, my parents hate games and my sister hates RPGs. I even asked them, but they didn't.

That was nearly one year ago. I looked everywhere, even under the fridge. I still didn't find it.

I've got more of those stories. I lost my sunglasses once and I WILLED it to come to me. :P Strange enough, two seconds later I found it. Three seconds later my sister screamed she couldn't find HER sunglasses. She said she layed it on her desk five minutes ago. She never found it.

Crazy stuff. ^.^

When you're looking, its not in the room because you think its not. But then mom comes and thinks she'll find it and its right there. I should start thinking I'll find lots of money.

gamer, how do you know something evil didnt do the opposite? Why do you trust things you've never met to do what you would want?

Were the glasses you found your sister's? If not, that implies that a balancing force exists (at a level higher than physics thinks).

sorry it took me so long to reply but beavis I don't assume everything is evil I just assume that things are good even if they seem evil

I always forget where I put my stash, usually its a concequence of just being too high
opinions are like kittens, just give 'em away

My problem is different.  Have you ever set something down, and you know exactly where it is, and two seconds later, when you go to pick it up, POOF.  Gone.  Totally disappeared.  In another dimension.  SOMEWHERE I can NEVER go to reclaim it.
Ever happen to anyone?

Jon_88

I to sometimes cant find things , but i think that i somehow creates a filter that remove the input of the object into my sences . But that doesnt explain moving objects wich has happend (albeit seldom).

Like 1 day things wouldnt stay on shelfes and cdstacks tumbled for no good reason. Last time was only a few days ago. When my amethyst moved from my bed to a pile of clothes and hid under it =P. "shrugs".

PyroPsion69

I can never find things, but I usually blame that on my absent mindedness. I'll put something somewhere, and then move it, but never remember moving it a second time, so I will scour the place it was first, and then a long time later realize where the actual last place was. Either that or the Gnomes moved it...

I lost my coat to that dimension of stuff.  I wore it to someones house who is a friend of mine, but never took it off (I didn't feel comfortable taking it off there.  Drove directly home.  Lost my coat in my house that night, couldn't find it.  Went to work the next morning without my coat.  Came home, searched the entire freaking house for my coat.  Couldn't find it.  Searched all the cars, including the one I came home and went to the house in.  Couldn't find it.  Searched the closests, turned my room upside down, looked under my bed, ect ect.  My coat has been missing for months now.  Go figure.

Usually I attribute it to my absent mindedness.  Maybe someone lost an identical black coat then willed it to themselves? Lol [^]

At any rate, maybe I'll try willing it back to me!  Could result in a coat war!  I want my coat! *WILL*  Now I want my coat *WILL* Mine! *WILL*

Poor coat.
There is no spoon

I was looking for a lighter (i'm a pyromaniac sometimes) and i knew I had put it under a chair. I lift the chair up. Light shines under it. There is no lighter. I look  3 more times from different angles, but still no ligther. I come back 1 minute later and find it under the chair.

This kind of thing has happened to me many times, but it was never this obvious that I didnt overlook it when I didnt see it. It wasnt there and then it was.

Somebody will probably accuse me of halucinating that it wasnt there. When this happens to YOU, why do you assume you saw it wrong at first (think it really was there)?
