why do you want to learn this?

My guess is that the same points are used to hurt as to heal, just with a different intent. That whole energy follows intention thing.  Ben

kakkarot

actually, the points used to hurt are different than the points used to heal.

look into chinese accupuncture.

There are a couple pressure points that work well on some people, but do not injure them. I should know. My friends did this for a month. And it was not fun. People would randomly press my pressure points and I would fall.

If you put your pointer fingers on your shoulders/neck area there is a spot on each shoulder that if you press on the person will just fall down.

Also, if you are on the ground. (I don't know if this a pressure point but it does work [|)]) Press right behind someones knees, even gently and they will go down.

It used to work well on me, and still does on my little brother...

I don't know any that will stun or paralyze anyone though.

Experimentation with pressure-points could be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. If this is something you take interest in, get an authorized teacher. And please be carefull with your littlebrothers everyone [:)]

kakkarot- why do i want to learn this? i guess why i'd want to learn anything, just personal interest, knowledge is potential power, having this knowledge increases your own strength, and will help you avoid confrontations, just having the mindest that you can defeat anybody, and having the knowledge of how to do so, will do great wonders.

plus pressure points inflict lots of pain, pain distracts your attacker, and can also cause people to become emotional, and irrational, or even angry, when you become angry in a fight you already lost.

I came across an old chinese story referring the usage of pressure point attacks

basically the story is about a young arrogant martial arts master who encounters an older apparently drunken old man, the old man unknowingly insults the younger man, and the young man challenges him to a fight

the old man is apparently skilled in the form of drunken boxing, and everytime he is hit by the young man he seems to crumple under every blow

during the battle the old man lightly touched the young mans foot   during the fight,  witnesses of the battle seemed to think that the young man was viciously attacking the poor old man,
after wards, the young man assured of his victory left the crumpled "defeated" old man to die

moments after the young man left, the old man sprang to his feet, seemingly unscathed by the brutal assault

within a week the young man fell violently ill, and on his death-bed he recalled the old man, and how he had been so arrogant towards him
apparently the story ends with the young man apologising to the older man, and the old man helps cure the young man, and they live happily every after

anyhow, i guess it isn't all the relevent, but i think utilizing pressure points would be a great defence tactic, inflicting maximum pain with minimal damage,  self-conditioning to such pressure point attacks can allow you to be unaffected by viscous attacks to pressure points,  (just ask those shaolin monks who get soccor kicked in the groin, repetedly)

I'm believe that there are some points meant soley to hurt, just as you say, but in massage school we had a pretty good chinese medicine class and shiatsu, and I know that many of the points that help heal could easily hurt someone with just the application of more pressure. Ex. behind the ear lobe, temples, armpits, behind the knee, inner elbows, occipital points, etc..  In that whole dimok thing it seems like the ones that can really do it, can do it on any point of the body, even from a distance, thus my guess of the intention thing. Ben

kakkarot

good point goku, some pressure points can be used to hurt or heal based upon how you utilize them. i'd forgotten that [|)].

if that is your motivation to learn it then i definately suggest you look into chinese accupuncture volcomstone [:)].

Kakkarot, have you gotten pretty far into acupuncture? I've only had a basic intro, and it was just the points, and a little theory, no needles or any real application of techniques. It sounds cool, but I just like to get opinions of those who have had it before. Do you recommend treatments for general health maintenance?  Ben

kakkarot

i have not done it before, sorry goku [|)]. i have read up on it though, as well as other topics which delve into energy meridians and such.

i personally would not recommend it for general health maintanence unless you are already less than healthy. however if you are healthy already, i recommend physical/mental excercises and training to keep up your general health. but that's just my unprofessional opinion [|)].

Duh. Kakkarot is asking how to hurt people in order to be able to hurt people.

Learn to see the energy, and tell it to show you specific ways to manipulate it on a body. It will follow your command, but you would know this if you had been experimenting instead of begging. If you don't dare to do it to a person, remember that seemingly inanimate objects have pressure points, too.

Don't kiss butt! You can come by techniques superior to those being orally "hidden" from you. Eventually you could impress traditionalists with your abilities. They will seem to think you are worthy. When they show you their full ability, you will not be impressed.

Research systems in order to gauge systems.

(The thread will not be taken seriously if we all respond to the following, but I believe that according to the original comic, "Kakkarot" is to Sayins as the "N-word" is to blacks.)

kakkarot

what the hell's gotten into you pod3?

im sure everybody knows that you can physically unblock your energy meridians with pressure, massage, etc,

but did you know you can create energy blockages too?, martial arts systems use the same energy meridians to find spots for pressure points

utilizing this, you can cause ill-effects on your victim depending on which points you hit, and in what order

effects range from pain, spasms, paralysis or even death
its possible to cause a blockage, and energy surge so strong that you sould give someone a heart attack

I personally don't know the actual ways of doing so, so Im hoping someone on here would

anyone have any links?
