the fact that you listen to the advice of a guide who is trying to
decieve you at one point or another, examplifies that your common
sense may be missing?
no offense.

perhaps your guide is the one who needs slaughtered. I get the sense that you need to accept the dragon and transform it. Emotions don't just disappear, they get transformed.

I would hafta agree, your guide is speaking in a metaphor atleast

you can never kill the dragon it is part of you and part of it, you will only hide it ,  you must confront it and know your own self,

your yin and yang is not in balance, seek balance and your dragon will not be a problem, in fact having a dragon can be beneficial in some instances, slaying it will only repress it untill it gains enough energy to erupt again,

you can't just hide from it, you hafta deal with it everyday
there is no cop out, only understanding that you have the choice, and your actions are not dictated by someone/something else
opinions are like kittens, just give 'em away

Are you sure that is a guide speaking to you?

I have had many instances where some other entitiy has tried to impersanate my guide. you need to always test your guide to1)make sure it is the real one and 2)make sure that it is a guide in the first place.

I agree with volcomstone, you cannot kill your own fighting spirit. That is what the red dragon usually entails. (thier aura is reflected on thier skin.) Dragon's are not the beasts they seem to be. I know this from personal experience.

When I deal with dragons I Often find I am not just dealing with a simple-minded beast that has to destroy everything in it's path. Yes. some dragons are like that. Most of the one's I deal with are not. They are not kind and gentle, but they are also not just angry.

I suggest confronting the dragon with brain power first before you try and attack it. Even if it attacks you at first. If you have been attacking it for several lifetimes then it might assume you will attack it in this one, but once it see's that you wish to assert the situation it might calm down. Try not to be afraid of dragon's rage, which is 10x-100x as powerfull as a human's (depending on the dragon.)

If you wish you can give the name of your guide to one of us and we can ask our guide for an opinion on him. You might find that guides are not perfect and have thier flaws.

Good luck Sam.

One more thing, If you see a Multi-colored cool looking dragon DON'T KILL IT LOL.

I always get the impression my guide calls himself rabten.  Thanks for throwing new light on the subject I've never been sure who I can trust, but hopefully you guys (obviously more experienced) can help shed some more light on the matter...

Re common sense: I don't know what common sense is regarding these matters, perhaps more experience will give me more of a sense of what is common :)  No offense taken you're probably right.

Like the others said before me .. be careful who you trust[;)]

My guides told me to kill the red dragon.  He says I have to slay this beast (which is a sentient entity created by my own negative thoughts) before it takes over my life and I become its slave.

It sounds pretty intimidating.  I need to do it quickly as well, and to fail may be the death of me (whether it means physically or my former self becomes redundant in the running of my life I'm not too sure).

Apparently what I need to do is face it on a battlefield, astrally, where I will slay it with my sword, cut it to peices, burn the peices, pull a black stone out of the ashes, crush the stone and throw the powder to the winds.  He (my guide) says that I've been training for many lifetimes to accomplish this task, and that I've failed in previous attempts.  As far as advancing spiritually goes, I've been teetering on this plane of existance for some time, sometimes going up, sometimes topling back down again.  This beast is composed of hatred, lust, anger and pain.  My guide is going to help lead me to the battlefield but it will try and lead me astray with deception (as it already has on one occasion).

I feel up to this task but its the scariest thing I've ever had to do.  Any advice would be appreciated.  If you wanna come watch the battle I have no problems, a good crowd might help motivate me to ultimate victory...  or laugh at my untimely defeat.  I just wanted to share that with you all if you're interested.
