Is 2012 just something in your name or does it apply to the year?  Because if it does I've heard A LOT of different ideas about this year, for no real reason, and each is completely different then another.  I believe that we are in for a big change soon, and I believe that follows along the same lines as what you have said, more or less.  I do not believe however that we have any reason to think we know when or under what circumstances that will happen.  Most info about all this stuff and anything relating to it, including religious, come from books.  Books written by man.  Mankind has explored only 1 percent of our entire planet.  If we are still so in the dark about this huge chunk of rock we live on which EVERYONE would agree exists, what would lead anyone to believe that we have the slightest clue what is going on in other dimensions, which not everyone agrees are even real?  I believe a change will come to enlighten us about such existences... but that would suggest that we know nothing of them. Specifically including who, what, where, when, why or how.

Have you read Awaken from the Dream Written by Ken & Gloria Wapnick?  Your statement sounds very much like the story of separation in that book.

Long ago, you decided to participate in a vast game of exploring separation from Spirit on behalf of the Source -- The Creator! Since the "fall,"you have experienced every aspect of separation -- cruelty, violence, persecution, war, famine, and so on.

But now the game is over and it's time to return to the Source -- it's mandatory! Every one of us will ascend. But first we must break old patterns, sever from the consensus reality, and align with Spirit.
