Lights behind your eyes??

Huh...mine was always purple(cept that one time it was yellow)

I'm pretty sure its jus lights as opposed to a supernatural force.

it occurs when the brain has no input from your eyes (ie, when your eyelids are closed).

do a websearch for sensory deprevation and marvel at the things that happen when your brain isn't getting any input .

The poofy colorful lights you get when your eyes are closed and resting can also be seen with the eyes open. They can be seen with the lights on or off and while the eyes are recieving stimuli. Most people see them when thier eyes are closed because it is easier to do so against a dark background. when the lights are on the colors are much lighter and more difficult to see, but it is possible. I dont think sensory deprivation can be the reason since they can be seen while the  senses are exposed to stimuli other than darkness(light, the cieling, a wall, a computer screen), they can also be seen while whatever your looking at(a background) is moving or changing.

Ive noticed when viewing the colors that a little muscle(or rather what feels like a muscle) in the eye or behind the eye is flexed in which the focal point of the field of vision is close to the observers eye, kind of like a focusing inward feeling. another reason why it might be easier to see the colors with eyes closed is that the focal point of the eyes are on the eyelids which could encourage this close to the eye inward focal feeling. to see them with your eyes open you can repeat the inward focus feeling in the same way that you may experience when viewing them with your eyes closed.

Hi Vegeta,

Do you work on your chakras at all when doing energy work?

I ask because it often occurs that after doing NEW or NEW Healing, if you cover your eyes with the palms of your hands to block out all light you can see a colour. This colour whether green, red, blue etc corresponds with your most active chakra at the time.

hi Parmenion . I'm pretty sure I worked with my chakras at the times the lights appeared. Mostly I see a Blue light,Sometimes green, and every once and a while red... and occasionaly behind my closed eyes I saw what loked like to be a night sky...Basically millions upon millions of green  bright dots in a pitch black sky.So you could be right.Thanks everyone for your input.

Do you feel your doing something thats is work(eg not relaxing) when doing this ? If you are (or seeing a little bad) it is much easier to get those colours ,thise are from strain ,not nesseverly from your eyes ,whether you see directly into a bright lamp or try and realy hard remembering something you dont know or cant remember. Lights eventually will be seen.

As you are prolly like most people much more familiar with straining to remember than the strain of looking into a lightbulb.So much more light is seen from this task. However if you relax good when seeing into a lightbulb and/or get very familiar with this task , much less afterimiges is seen and passes more quikkly.

Anyway since your doing "mystic" things i cant totally write off some other explanation for thise lights. But you can easely check yourself by doing one of the exercises i mentioned and see if they seem similar.

So for conclusion i would hazard a guess your either pretty new to errh NEW or consentrating Pretty hard getting the energys flowing and chackras wizzing. And in anycase doing some sort of strain , and is rewarded with after images for your efforts.

Try and relax better when doing energy work.(not consentrate like your moving rocks) and see if it lessend and/or passes quiklier.

I was wondering if anybody ever experienced seeing light behind their eyes? Because sometimes at night when I try to go to sleep after manipulating energy a little bit there is this blue light pulsing and shifting in front of my eyes...sometimes it is green and other times it is red. Anyways I was wondering if anybody knows why this happens?are my eyes screwed up or is it because i recently started energy work??? any help would be great and thanks for your time.

Well Vegeta! It's all normal, It can have a connection to your third eye if you see it clearly and then feel a pressure on your brow center.
But usually it's the brain that is functioning naturaly, when your eyelids are closed then the brain ignor the sight sense and starts to use some waves instead of working on sensing light and translatting it into a coloured picture. What you see normally may be Red, Blue Or green, these are the 3 singles colours that you can see without using your eyes.
If it's connected to your third eye then you usually have to see it kinda purple, like thinking on a purple flame or eye (like the eye from lord of the ring) brighting and shining there like an afterimage.
