if you are familiar w/natural 'ley lines',the areas where they intersect (many are in the U.K.,but they are scattered all over) are very powerful natural doorways to the astral planes.
 I'm not sure how to set one up,though.[]

Thank you. I'll do some research and see if I can find any near me.  If I do, I'll try it.  Ley Lines bring another thought to mind, too.  My thinking is that if ley lines can make opening an astral portal easier, then would other places that have high spiritual or psychic energy do the same thing.  Places such as old native worship sites or graveyards.  Does anyone have thoughts on this?

areas that were sacred to the indiginous cultures would be a good place to start.it would take some research and wandering,but it could pay off,I've been thinking of trying that myself.

in medieval england,apparently it was common for the christians to cover these areas of the countryside w/churches.

I would also suggest that you (if you can-without be overwhelmed by fear) seek places that have a strong phychic charge,and are notorious for hauntings.however,be sure to protect youself (!?).

never done that myself,but I'd like to try it,just as long as I could protect myself from neg attachments.

It would surely be *interesting* (to say the least) to meditate,or attempt energy work,or astral projection from these areas.it would take alot of preparation to ensure confidence in the face of extreme fear.[:O]

the sacred worship sites of indigenous people will probably be haunted by vengeful spirits of the slaughtered and enslaved tribespeople, but then again maybe not.  Depends what kind of culture existed beforehand and the method of integration/extermination used by the incoming society.

For use in magic, meditation, or prayer in Wicca (like Witchcraft, The Craft, Wiccans) a "circle between the worlds" is set up. You are literally, between the worlds, if you do it right. So I was thinking... Would it be possible to set up a circle to use as a portal directly into the astral?  To set up and leave there. I would appreciate any and all comments, but especially, I would like some help if anyu one has a more specific way to do this.
