has anyone seen ghosts?

Yeah, I've already told you that I've seen one, but for the sake of everyone else I'll tell it again.

I was asleep, and I woke up. Above me I felt a presence, so I flick on my light. And there it was. A shadow that was darker than the night so that even in the blackness you could see it. Two holes opened up in it's horned "head," and they just looked at me. I figured they were eyes. I didn't get into "kill-mode" like Neo did, so it didn't go away. I just stared and it stared back, and a feeling of dread and wonder filled me.

I'll never forget that, and it happened when I was like 7-10 years old. Worst thing is that nobody believes me because they all think that "ghosts" are meant to be glowing white sheets or orbs or something.

Yeah. I've encountered so many ghosts/spirits I've classified them.  What both of you saw falls under my "Dark Shadow People" category (idiodic yet discriptive name, I know).  As far as I've experienced, these are the most visually manifested of negative spirits that I've come across.  According to research and people I've spoken to, they are most often seen by little children, though I have seen them recently.  What makes me think that they're more powerful than most everyday ghosts, is that unlike most other spirits that are usually just seen out of the corner of your eyes, these don't go away when looked at directly or even after repeated blinking and hitting my arm to make sure I'm awake.  The fear thing, too.  With them, it seems to take a bit to set in, and they like other low-level spirits go away when agrression is shown

I saw one in a field near a school.it was probably about 9-10:00pm.it looked like a man raking leaves,except he was made of light!

needless to say,I was terrified.I looked at it,sort of confused "hmmm...what the hell is that?!"

after looking at it for a few minutes,I rode away.a part of me wanted to ride right into the field to check it out-sort of a 'close encounter',but fear got the better of me.

I use to live in a convent building which had been converted to rent to the general public.  In my room there were two doors, one leading to a general corridor and the other to a verandah which overlooked the street below and at a distance the beach.  Very beautiful.  I use to see a light move from the corridor door to the verandah door and stay there for a while.  I finally got a story in my head that the nun who was in my room was concerned for the nun in the next room because the younger nun had become involved with a priest.  I thought nothing of it and lived with the light without any problem.

Then a friend of mine came to live in the same convent.  She had the room next to mine.  Despite the fact that we had never argued before we couldn't stop arguing once she moved in.  Eventually she told me that she was going to have the priest come in to do a blessing in her room and wondered if I wanted the same done to mine.  I asked her if there was a problem with her room.  She told me she felt that there was a ghost in her room that had been influencing her and causing our arguing.  I didn't mind but I was curious, I asked her if she could tell me a story about the ghost in her room.  That is when she thought of the ghost, did a story come with it.  She said yes.

She told me that the ghost in her room was a young nun who had been having an affair with the priest and the nun in my room who was older was concerned and constantly spying on her and trying to catch her out.  That because of that situation there was a kind of bitter arguing that had broken out between the two, with one trying to control and the other trying to rebel.

I was shocked to say the least.  She couldn't take it and left soon after.  I wonder if the nun did the same?[]

the other night i think i saw one, it was the middle of the night when i woke up for some reason. i looked at my clock to see what the time was(3:30am) and there was a shadow of a man standing there, i thought it was just a normal shadow untill i turned on my light. when i turned it on the shadow remained, i walked over to it and it FLEW off trough a wall. i wasent sceard, but i found myself being very defensive and then fear toke over. my fist clenshed and my body went into a fighting stance. has anyone seen a "shadow man" before, or any other kind of ghost as a matter of fact?
