ChristConciousness

Im no expert in this field and have no idea about the scientific side of it. The problem with using drugs to acheive alternate states of conciousness is that they do work. This can be trouble for a lot of new people, who are looking for their experience right now, not 5 months from now when they are truly ready. So alot of the time, they will set you into an experience you arn't quite ready for. My opinion is drugs speed up the process, however, people are often unprepared, and that can lead to trouble.

Logic

In most cases, entheobotanicals for the most part aid in out of body experiences. On one hand, some people argue that its a seperate state of altered conciousness, when infact its the exact same as an authentic OBE.

Some people believe that using drugs takes you to some place called "the Abyss", because of using drugs as a way to cheat and get an early OB. I however, do not belive that.

Incase you're worried about the law and you're health, salvia divinorium would be the most useful 'drug' to help you in OBE's.
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

This topic pops up from time to time. I guess I'll quote something I read in Astral Dynamics as this highlights what may have already been said.

Take a look at pages 373 and 374 of Astral Dynamics. I think what Robert Bruce says makes a lot of sense: "The only cases I have come across where projectors have had seriously bad experiences with lower subplanes involved hallucinogenic drugs being used to precipitate out-of-body experiences. Drugs, while capable of causing out-of-body experiences, sidestep the required skills and abilities necessary for safe conscious-exit projections. This breaks many natural laws concerning projection while artificially overcoming many natural safeguards and barriers. Natural barriers are there to protect the novice from operating in dimensional areas they are not equipped to experience."

I was just wondering if some experts could provide me with an answer to this: can drugs in any way benefit out of body experiences, or is it true that they only open up the "negative side" or something?
I'm specifically wondering about drugs in the psychoactive range, such as Cannabis, DXM, Mescaline and DMT..

Thanks
