the term alien applies to all beings that are not natural inhabitants of an area. so koala bears, for instance, are aliens to canada.

so the term applies to a wide range of beings []

as to the trust part, how can you trust your neighbor or a stranger? []

Let me explain so people understand.

I do not trust very many humans and with good reason.

How do you know you can trust an alien?( Alien: Intelligent being from another galaxy,universe,dimension,solar system. Basically a being NOT of this earth.)

Suddenly something appraoaches you,and it wants to channel messages through you. Do you suddenly feel special and let it?(Blind Faith)
Or do you think upon it and test the thing first to see if it really is what it claims to be?

ah, my bad, sorry. i thought you were talking about the alien thread specifically ^_^'

but i do agree with you: humans are dishonest enough, why would we be silly enough to trust someone we don't even know? [|)] but i guess that's part of the challenge of channeling, figuring out which beings are honest and which are not. sadly, some channelers likely are being duped because they are too trusting, but i'm sure some are not.

of course lying, at it's upper echelons, is just another multitiered skill with many subtleties and intricacies ^_^ . as is distinguishing lies from truth [].
