Wow, congrats!  I noticed you said you wrote it down.  Are you keeping some kind of journal on all of your trials and experiences, with the results and everything?  Might make for a very interesting read later on.

Patty

Thanks guys!

I write them down, but not in an organized fashion. I need to get them all together, be methodical.

If you're new - then I suggest writing your dreams down (and other stranger states of consciousness as well) because it reinforces it in your memory. Journaling your dreams is a good way to communicate to your subconscious "This is an important area of my life, I want to be more aware of it."

If instead you wake up and feel like --"Nah, too much work, not gonna write it down...."  Well, that communicates a different message to your subconscious.

I usually just jot down a phrase or two from each dream. A detailed entry would be better, but even a short little thing is better than nothing.   it's funny to go back a few hours later and realize how much you would have forgotten if you hadn't written it down.

I think I will start doing that Patty...  I've always meant to, but now I just WANT it ya'know.

I have a whole notebook full of the phrase "I remain consciously aware as my body falls to sleep."  The affirmation I use a good deal of the time.

BAH, Patty, get rid of deck A!

Make it a totally random deck now!  You are advancing, so allow the deck to advance too!

Patty

Hey k2sixx- So do it right now.

Write down anything you remember from last night. If you can't remember anything from last night, write down whatever is the most recent dream memory.

Hey hoovooloo-  Nah, I think I'll wait. (grin)

Patty,
Congratulations on your recent sucess with Out-of-Body Poker!  That's really great ... and encouraging for us rookies!

I just had some thoughts on how to help with the fluctuating cards (and locale), during your OBE Experiments.  Simply ask, state, or command for OBJECTIVITY throughout your OBE.  You could also repeat "I am objective" or "I remain objective" or "I objectively perceive ... this card" or ... well, you get the idea!  Just some thoughts I have, as I can relate to the emotions interfering with your OBE's ... frustration is one that occurs for me in OBE's and Lucid Dreams.

Another idea that just hit me, is to BECOME THE CARD and then ask questions about 'yourself' as the card.  "What color am I?"  "What is my number?"  "Am I a face card ... which one?"  "What is my suit?"  Although I've never tried this, perhaps it would work.

As for your comments on dream/obe journalling ... I TOTALLY AGREE with you.  I started journalling my dreams & obe's in mid-June, while on vacation.  Since childhood, I've been able to remember a dream, vividly each morning.  Now that I'm journalling, I can remember 3-4 dreams a night, write them down, along with any OBE-related vibes, sounds, projections, etc.

Last week, I had AT LEAST 3 OBES (possibly 5).  One night, I was able to remember 7 dreams and one OBE.  The only difference for this night, besides journalling,  I asked my Sub-Cons. Mind to make me AWARE when I am dreaming and AWARE to the the fact that I am dreaming.  The results that night were impressive.

I highly recommend keeping a journal of your Dreams and OBE's!

paty, ihave more ideas-what about using shapes like the deck used in paranormal reserch- i think it has stars triangle, simpler stuff to identify. how about 3-d objects? maybe with lots of practice you may master the card deck.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Hi again -

Shandor - 32 39 12

I dare you to buy a ticket (wicked grin).

Hi Greg -

You're not a buhlman fan by any chance?  I haven't had much luck with the statement approach. But the other thing - about 'becoming the card' - I use that approach when I play with RV. Weird stuff! If I am really nicely tranced and sort of in emptiness, becoming the target always has a BOOM with a single impression after it. Like curved, or pointy, or something.

It sounds like once you started projecting, you took off! Neat!

Hey Ralph -

I like the idea of 3 - d  objects. We have another experiment where we do that - I ask husband to place an object, and I try to identify  it by feel.  the same sorts of fluctuations come into play though.

Some people think that by having him place the object, that he might make some comment later and unintentionally give me a hint about what the object is.  So I am trying to remove that possibility with the card trick. But we have the 3-d experiment going on too. I can try to post the current tally from those if anyone wants to hear them. They're kind of interesting.

I feel like I am on such a productive part of the learning curve right now - the main hurdle is the reality fluctuations so I'm trying to get past those a little. I think it will happen.  I think I have been approaching it with the wrong expectation - instead of trying to somehow force the environment to be more concrete I think I need to learn to observe the environment for what it is.  (thanks Frank! See? I am thinking about your comments.)

Hi Patty!
Yes, I am a Buhlman fan, as his was the 1st OBE book I read (June this year) ... I then read RAM's "Journeys Beyond the Body" in late June ... now I'm reading Buhlman's 2nd book ... then onto RAM's "Far Journeys" ... then on to four other OBE/AP books.  I'm reading A LOT of varying authors, to IMPRESS UPON my sub-cons. mind (SCM) the importance of OBE's, as well as SATURURATE my SCM with gobs of good OBE info to use 'when needed'!

That's great that you play with RV.  That's another (of many) abilities I want to learn to do.  I'll try doing that once I learn RV ... among other abilities.   That's also great that you 'become the target' and get results from it!

All of my projections have been 'spontaneous' except for the 2nd one ... which piggy-backed immediately off of the 1st.  I'm diligently working towards achieving OBE AT WILL.  I really want to progress FAST ... that DESIRE has helped fuel the OBE's I've had lately (3-5 last week).

Your experimenting is absolutely fantastic ... keep us posted as to your progress.

Sincerely,
Greg Taylor :)

Hi everyone,

I think I made it out this morning. But it was so brief, and the room was flipped, and I was walking on the ceiling, and MAN! why can't these experiences reflect the physical world a little more closely.  (my new mantra - practice, practice, practice)  Anyway, experientially the interesting thing was that I DID remember to look at my hands to try to keep the locale from fluctuating. Not much luck there --- I was pretty much losing the experience by then anyway. My hands didn't exactly melt, though it was a tiny bit shocking to see them. And they did look a little strange.

I managed to go check my playing card during the experience and saw an Ace of spades. I thought 'that isn't right, the only aces in the deck are red.' (my deck has only red aces and black face cards.) So I then saw a second card, red ace, and a third card - two of something.  Well, i knew that this was not to be taken literally, but figuratively it seemed to me that the important information was "ace."  (in the moment, the two seemed to be an indicator that I was looking at 2 different aces.)

Anyway, when I woke I wrote it down - with real concern as to whether it was a real travel or a dream. I have this concern lot, because of all the inconsistencies that you don't notice til you come back.  So I wasn't sure if I would officially guess the card or not. After writing it down, I decided to officially guess it - So I called it Red Ace,

And it was!
