Hi! I was also inspired by his book.  When I read it , I was really sceptical of his description of approaching the surface of an astral plane and perceiving it as a surface that has gridlines.  It just seemed counter-intuitive.  But since then I have had numerous experiences that he calls R.E.Ps (remote eye projections) often prophetic or psychic in nature, and several times have seen grid-like structures.  But I don't seem to experience consciously the 'penetration' of the grid that he describes when entering an astral plane.

Hi anarchy hollow,

One thing that`s always bothered me was my inability to see the astral plane-type entrance structures that R.B. describes at some length in Astral Dynamics.I finally realized that I`ve been seeing them all along but didn`t recognize them for what they were.In the book he says:"a flat, two dimensional plane of infinite proportions, usually first seen as if from a great height, with the planes surface seen below extending to all horizons."After reading that, I got it in my head that the structures would have to be enormous, and although I sometimes saw things in the distance resembling these features, I wasn`t seeing them on a regular basis. What I figured out was that what appears to R.B. as "infinite planes",appear to me as walls, floors, lakes; any flat surface or boundry. When I navigate from the RTZ to the astral, or from locations within the astral my method is to place an intent and then pass through whatever surface is handy;floor, ceiling, etc.I have an oriental carpet next to my bed that bears some resemblance to a plane-type structure;regular
repeating geometric patterns. For some reason I slowed, and noticed that the patterns were not those of the rug but checkered vertical and horizontal grid lines like Robert describes in the book. They even had the colorful geometric flowers in the centers.I believe I never noticed them before because my expectations about "infinite planes" clouded my perception of what I was actually seeing. The size scale was skewed.Since then,(a few weeks ago) I`ve paid more attention when passing through surfaces and sometimes percieve these plane-type structures.Perhaps I see these things as smaller because I`m operating at lower levels and with alot less energy than Robert. Who knows?!I`m just happy to have solved this question. It points out the trap of letting expectations obscure what`s really happening.

My vote for AD 2 would be more astral experiences. Also more intermediate techniques, how to get more out of your obe experiences. Seems like after you realiaze you can do it too you want to have earth shaking experiences too.
In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Thanks a lot coral1! This is great advice, because my expectations were pretty set. I can see how any surface can be as Robert describes. SomeBloke: Have you tried penetrating the surfaces yet? And i also agree as to if there was an AD2, it definitely should have more experiences in it. I bet R.B. has so many experiences to share...peace

Have you tried penetrating the surfaces yet?
Yeah, I tried but I just found myself in darkness with a vague floating sensation.  I struggled to see, but as a result opened my (physical) eyes and the experience ended.

I've only read about 1/4 of Astral Dynamics, but have skipped ahead a little to read his AP accounts. The way that he describes the astral plane is amazing. Has anybody else experienced the astral plane as he describes it? Such as seeing a 2d design, and entering part of it, leading to an astral realm. Thanks
