definately. just stick at it and do it daily. That should be plenty of time. Many people dont even manage that amount of time.

Robert Bruces book called astral dynamics is absolutely brilliant. He explains everything and gives planty of excersices to do.
Make sure you follow the book from the begginning and not just skip straight to actually projecting as it wont work and you might lose interest. Work at it from the beginning.

Hi bluejay.

Do you have a door to your room?  If so, can you close/lock it?  If not, could you try to find a quiet spot in some park...?

Otherwise, you can practice all day.  Just be more aware.  We tend to just be like zombies; little robots doing what we have to do without thinking...  So, be more present in what you do, in your suroundings,  etc...

A simple exercise is to do "reality checks" like every xxx minutes.  Like, every 30 minutes, take 10 seconds to check what's going on, pay attention to your suroundings.  Does everything looks normal?  Etc...  When you do these checks, do it "seriously", with a strong intent.  Also, quickly (but "seriously") check if you can remember what happened before now; how you got where you are; what you did since you woke up that day...  Check for anything unusual.

Then, as you go to bed at night, do some relaxation exercises.  Let your body fall asleep, while you try to keep your mind busy.  You can focus on your breathing; count in your head; try the rope technique; etc...

Have fun!

Nagual,

So what you're saying is to make a habit of "checking things" and seeing that everything is alright. Almost like checking that you aren't dreaming? I've been trying one other method where I ask myself every 15-30 minutes something like "Am I Dreaming?" and it hasn't worked at all. No control over my dreams whatsoever :/

there is a program in the file library on this site, that keeps track of your time, and tells you to do reality checks at given intravals, i have heard it helps a lot, especially if you forget to do them.

Its not how much time. Its what you do during it. Some things are 100 times more efficient than others. You'll mostly have to find those for yourself since they're different for everybody.

Yeah, I'm gonna read Astral Dynamics (getting it today [8D]) and then decide what to do. I've been looking into the NEW System, Is it anything you guys can recommend? And I here alot of talk about negative entities. People getting paralyzed and such when trying to leave the body. Is that anything to worry about? I mean they can't harm you but you still get afraid no matter how much you know they can't do anything :/

Cheers

Yes, but how much "intensity" do you put into your "Am I Dreaming?" question?  If you just take 3 seconds to say it without much intent and then immediately fall back into "zombie" mode, it won't do much...  Be sure to spend at least 10 full seconds to super mega hyper realy intensively check what's going on with you and around you.  Concentration exercises would help.  How long/often have you been doing this exercise?  And it's not just about checking if you are dreaming or not; it's checking about everything...  By example it's checking that you are not wasting your time replaying over and over in your head about what nasty thing guy XYZ did to you; or about the argument you had with your friend; or imagining this or that; or realizing that what your doing right now is a waste of time/energy; etc...  It's about controling your thoughts, your behavior, yourself.  It's about saving you energy from spending it in useless stuff.

Worrying is "useless".  It varies a lot from people to people anyway...  You can run into negative humans at school or at the office or in the street...  So, as in everyday life, you'll have to learn a way to avoid them.

Hiya,

As you may have noticed from my previous zero posts I am new here. I've been reading about OBE and Lucid dreaming for only about a week, but I have managed to read Robert Petersons first book and Journeys out of body by Robert Monroe and I have Astral Dynamics on the way :)

But I have one slight problem, I can't seem to find any time or not enough time to practice (since I still live at home). People come running into my room all the time, And If I only do it in the morning i'll only get about 30-40 minutes per day? Is that enough?

Well, Cheers :)
