I recall asking this same questioh several months back, and I believe the answer is 'yes.'  However, I think I will be much more than a simple VR Projection.  You see, since the LOTR universe is so popular and so widely known, it has probably spawned its own astral realm, created by the total of collected conscious thoughts pertaining to it.  By entering your TV whilst playing Lord of the Rings, you'll most likely slip into the actual LOTR world, rather than your subconscious recreation of it.

I hope that made sense, and more importantly, I hope it helped.

yes, thank you Neo S..........I never thought of it that way...the whole collective consciousness of all the LOTR fans out there. It's touched a lot of people...

Cheers....aissy[:)]

Personally I think it would be hard to enter a movie like that... might be possible. But the reason VRP works is that you "trick" the subconcious into creating the desired enviroment for you. If the scene is animated it might be harder, not sure perhaps worth a try. However I think it would be easier to just put a poster or something up on the wall and "walk into" it. Once inside the world you are no longer aware of the progress of the animation anyway.

If you walk into a place that exists, you will as mentioned be transferred to the real place and not just a creation of your mind. Which might also be worth thinking about, since many of the places in the movies actually exists... It might just take you to new-zealand instead of the realms or a subconcious projection ;)

I've been thinking about projecting into my TV monitor while playing "The Lord of the Rings"(Fellowship of the Ring) in hopes of visiting Hobbiton and mingling with Frodo and the like..I read the chapter in Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics book with regards to virtual reality projections into pictures and paintings but didn't notice any dealings with projections into movie scenes/TV shows, and was lefting wondering if it's at all possible??[?]
