It may not necessarily be the best, especially not for everyone, but it is very detailed and very easy to understand for someone who has not been studying Yoga or some other similar practice for some time.

I've found that I have OBEs the most when I've been visualizing something in detail, for instance planning how I'm going to present to a group or some other stressfull event.

That generally sends my 3rd eye into overdrive and I'll wind up seeing through my eyelids in the morning.

On the other hand, I've haven't found an association with doing an hour of NEW and having an OBE the next day, but I've only been practicing for a few months.

So is NEW the best? It's probably like most things and your milage may vary.

It is probable that many people in the past have figured out how to do the basic thing we do in NEW, namely consciously pulling prana out of the sea of universal energy. Think about those Yogis in India who meditate for years in caves without eating or eating very little, and not clothing themselves warmly, but staying warm and healthy.  I've got to believe that they know how to do this stuff.

So the basic idea is probably not new (pun intended...). What is NEW is Robert Bruces excellent way of teaching it to dense westerners like us.

Moreover, the system he teaches is just a do-it-yourself starter kit. Once you get rolling with it, it's up to you and your own ambition, curiosity and spiritual adroitness that decides how far you go. It's not the system any more. The people who get good at energy raising probably all have their own unique approach and philosophies about it, and they aren't all motivated to do it for the same reasons.

It's really YOU, not the SYSTEM.

I hope this helps.[:)][:)][:)]

every system indirectly in one way or another develops the energy body through awareness- because that is the currency of the energy body.  i've always thought of the NEW system as doing away with the middleman in the energetic development scheme.

i'm sure that everyone who practices any system long enough runs across it eventually- robert bruce is the first person to turn it into a system in and of itself and publish a book about it.
as below, so above

From my own experience, i indeed believe that NEW has been the best ... for me ! I know that without quick results when i started it, i would have stopped it. I am now way more patient and can wait for months to have a little result, but i wasn't like this when i started. So i'm glad this technic is so effective. I think that in fact the whole thing isn't new, but that Bruce has "cut" all the unnecessary stuff around each practice to get back to the very basics. And it works fine.
I agree with what boydster says (lol as usual in fact - i should make a keyboard shortcut for this sentence ;)) This system is the base, then each one has to figure out what he wants to do after.

I think that NEW is very good for beginners to energy work. But NEW is merely a stepping stone into this field. As all roads lead to Rome, so all body energy methods lead to the same thing. Once you learn the basics then your practice can and most likely will be very personalized. It is very important (atleast in my opinion) to listen to yourself and do what is right for you and not get caught up in ritual of any system.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Hey, thanks for the replies everyone.  I feel comfortable that NEW is a great thing for me to be doing, at least at this time, and as far as doing my own thing in energy developement later on, I've already been thinking about something that I thought I'd ask you all about.  I may try this fairly soon.  I was thinking that since the two part full body circuit can be done in any position, why not do it in like the first standing meditation posture from Lin Kong Jing?  If NEW and Kong Jing are about equally effective wouldn't it make sense to think that this could double the productivity?  Does anyone see any reason why I shouldn't try this?  Could it be too much?  Or is there no point, like, is there only a certain amount of energy can flow in at one time?  Does anyone know a standing posture for gaining energy that I could experiment with that doesn't require holding your arms up?  I have scar tissue and an impinged nerve in my right shoulder which makes it have less endurance (this is one reason I'm glad I found NEW).  Has anyone tried my idea?  I would think that Robert Bruce thought of it, I just wonder why he didn't recomend it.

Hi blankera,

Good topic. For my part, the NEW system has been effective inasmuch as I can feel results. It seems to center me too. The brow center was stimulated about a year ago through this method, and I very often feel a sensation or pressure there. All in all, it has been a good solid method, without any orthodox dogma.

It's funny that I brought up this topic when I did because in the past few days, I've gotten such a good energy flow while doing NEW, that I suspect that nothing else would be as good.... for me.  I don't expect my sensations to devrease any in time either, because I think that I've been all clear since the beggining like Kalonek suggested in another post.  I'm looking forward to going on to the primary chakra exercises.   The only thing that really had me thinking that another program might be better is that when I used to do Lin Kong Jing, I once got this fairly painful, hot shooting energy in my back after getting out of a hot tub.  I had been doing Lin Kong Jing for longer than I've been doing NEW at that point though.  My flow of energy that I feel entering me is much greater with NEW than with LKJ though.

Kalonek. I'm glad that you recommended that begginers sponge just through their legs a lot, that one really gets a constant heat flow going for me.

Do you all agree with Robert Bruce when he says that NEW is the best bioenergy training system available in the world?  I've only been doing it for a few months, and it does seem like it's really good to me, maybe the best, but I find it a little hard to believe that something new could come along and be better than other practises that have been around for like, hundreds of years.  I agree that the sensations felt while doing NEW are impressive, but the fact that the sensations decrease with practise makes me wonder if results decrease with time too, I wonder if sensations decrease in time with other energy developement systems as well.  If anyone has any thoughts for me on any of this I'd really appreciate hearing them, I just want to be sure that I'm doing the energy program that will take me the farthest.  Does anyone here know someone who has done, or has anyone done themselves, both a lot of another program and NEW?
