good spirits...???

I keep 'plugging' this one:

"Summoning Spirits" by Konstantinos.

Comprehensive yet easy to understand. However please do not rush into the art of evocation, PREPARE THYSELF. It is not for idle curiosity but as one of the ways to enlightenment. There is a multitude of spirits who will be pleased to aid us in our quest, equally there is just as many who are happy to deceive the unprepared.

the magician's workbook is a very good beginner's book.  however, if you wish to get deeper you will definitely need to supplement your reading.

probably not relevant, but a good book for those into wicca is "Drawing down the moon"
probably not helpful to you though...i just make up my own stuff to 'evoke' spirits, and generally it works very well.

I would agree with siversunset and ekron.
Always be prepared since you never know who will come up.
First try something simple like meditate and while doing so call softly in your head Come all good to help thee. I need you for this.
I do this and it works. But be patient on it. It will work.

I wish more people would act like DragonUnleashed, and use meditation/prayer first before rushing into evocation.

Can someone refer some really good books (preferably for beginners as I know next to nothing about this) to evoke angels and other good beings/spirits...
I would also like some reviews on the following two books.
1. The Magician's Manual
2. The Magician's Workbook
