Hi FreeFaller,

Great film, but oh so so soppy...

Yes, the scene where Jodie Foster's character meets her dad (actor of 'chips' infamy)... is in part very reminiscent and hauntingly close to a personal experience I had once in a lucid dream. Very powerful... and preferred it to When Dreams May Come! Although the dog scene is totally disney, however it is equally tear rending!

hmm what ahhhh ahhhh ahhhh STOP STOP STOP i never saw the whole thing because the sub i had fast forawrd it so i didnt get to see alot then at the end the bell rang i stayed behind to watch where she meets her father but thats it then i left so dont talk about the ending

See the whole movie! Twice, at least. Rent it. it brought a lot of people out of the closet. I was surprised how many people I spoke with about it, had a personal obe story to tell.

OK i didnt really know where to put this post so i put it here as it can relate. anyway i want to tell everyone about something.

I dont know if you have ever seen it but i just did. there is this movie called "CONTACT"

its about space in the movie these scientists who get these sound waves from deep in space. anyway they use cryptology (which is one of my favorite subjects)so figure out that in the message they get there are blue prints to build a very advanced machine. anyway things hapen blah blah blah (very interesting)and well--toward the end the main character has to get into the machine to travel to this place. while traveling many things happen

while in a worm hole her face sort of fades....i sort of compare this to the fact of AP because when her face uh double the new head i guess you can say is saying something different then she her actuall self is. so i compare this to the thought of what she is thinking the other visual is saying like her astral self.

then when she actually arives at the final destination she is on this land that is a replica of a picture she drew when she was young, and there she talked with her dead father. i compare this to having a picture on your wall and while AP going through it, and her meeting her dead father as if that person were on the picture that you whent through when you were AP.

i dont know if you have seen that movie and if you have if you got the same sense that i did.

i just suggest that others watch it.
