Crop Circles

Perhaps the energy used was electromagnetic energy. ALL atoms respond to electromagnetic energy in some way, even if it is not permanent. I did not see the documentary, but I imagine that whatever the MIT students used, it must have been electromagnetic energy that was produced. The fact that iron was used makes this a plausible theory. Iron and magnets are very closely associated.

EMFs cause cancer. This is a widely known fact. This is how electromagnetic energy sometimes affects humans. Another way it affects us is through our brains. Electromagnetic energy can be used to trigger parts of the brain. Psychologists have done experiments on a cat where they hooked up electrodes to the cat's heads and produced a signal to different electrodes. When certain electrodes were activated, the cat would get angry and start hissing. I watched a documentary of this in psychology. Scary stuff. I wish they didn't experiment on animals. It's not very nice.

Well Electromagnetic energies might be the case, and it's very plausible. But what if they couldn't detect any electromagnetic frequencies? As I said, they did a radiation test, which isn't exactly the most intelligent thing to "thwart" the ideas that crop circles eminate energy. On top of that, I think I speak for just about everybody on the astral pulse when I say that there are more than what we can measure and percieve. Maybe magical or aetheric energies could be at work? After all, the circle is a sign of purity and power, circuits and conduits, and when combined with other signs it can be very empowering.

I've seen overhead footage of a crop circle being created and there was no electrical problems what so ever.  I think it's all in the head.  People see what they want to see and ignore what goes against that.  I don't know about symbols, but it's not like all of these people get their designs from witch books.  Most of them come up with it in their own heads using math.  Think maybe the helicopter just needed maintenance and the fact that it showed as the crop circles were being created added fuel to the fire, so to speak?  I don't deny the existence of energies we don't yet understand, nor that there is much we can't explain with science.  But if you want to be truly open minded you must consider ALL possibilies, such as that crop circles are nothing more then smashing wheat with a board and has no value beyond that, aside from some thinking it's art.

I agree with everything that you say. But using the whole "take into account all possibilities" while at the same time trying to preach one opinion doesn't really work. As a wise man once said (Lao Tzu??), in order for something to be able to be true, it must also be able to be false. That simple concept drives all beliefs and ideas in this world into hot and purely useless debate.

By nature it's impossible for something to be true and at the same time false.  The whole essence of being true is that it cannot be false.  It can always be questioned and looked at differently, but if true, will always come to the same conclusion.  Was Lao Tzu self proclaimed wise?  I agree with one sided arguments being useless.  I felt that you properly expressed one side, so I simply stated another.  It would be an incredibly long post if I wrote the classical argument evaluating each angle.

Im sure 99.9% the crop circles are made by humans, but I don't know if the intentions of all the designers are the same

the more complex ones are obviously a bunch of engineering grad students or something

Im more inclined to believe that the "simpler" ones are formed by processes not known to us.

I love shows on crop circles.

Funny... my 5 year old came into the room during one show that was showing pics of crop circles and he said "Look, Mom!  Stars playground!"

Of COURSE it is impossible for something to be both true and false at the same time, AlphaOmega. My point, and probably whoever said it's point, was SIMPLY that in order for something to be ABLE to be true, it must also be able to be false. I'm not talking about divine Gospel Truth or whatever you want to damn well call it, because I don't really believe that such a thing can be percieved by humble man alone, or at least not in this existance at this current time. That is why when I say that in order for something to be able to be true it must also be able to be false, I simply mean that every proposal made in existance has the possibility to be false. Even when it comes down to mathematics - pure, logical, true, mathematics - the fact that the reality in which you experience such a thing could be fake just goes to show that it does, indeed, have the possibility to be false.

I mean, the very proposal that you are real has both potential to be true and potential to be false.

I just saw a bit of a documentary in which a bunch of MIT students created a crop circle. While doing video documentation over the crop circle, even though they created it themselves, the helicopter lost power midair, and just as suddenly, near the ground, regained RPM and ascended.

This then showed a clip of a lady saying that while filming a digital video of a crop circle, the video camera's digital footage got more and more distorted as the filmer came closer to the circle.

This might have something to do with magic perhaps? Symbols empowered with will can be powerful, but not only that, they deposite iron and make special measurements and whatnot (the MIT students) to make it a perfect crop circle, and it does this.

Now, they did a radiation check, supposedly dispelling all belief that the circles generate energy. What they didn't care to think of was that perhaps radiation isn't the only kind of energy? Maybe the didn't even think that there are energies beyond what we can measure? Stupid college know-it-alls.

Anyways, this is interesting. I'm off to watch
