I forgot about something. When I first get it, it sometimes does feel bad, but in a second or 2, I can shape my astral body to reflect or absorb it in a way that changes it to good energy.

First I just have to say, careful what you wish for.  

Also, yes, you are right, energy is energy.  We all exchange psychic energy... typically through emotions (anger, fear, etc.), and sex is a great way to exchange as well.  The funny thing is, when someone is mad at you... they are feeding you all this energy!  All you have to do, which you obviously can, is convert it and/or difuse it.  This also kinda sucks, like when you're mad at someone and you KNOW you're sending them energy, but you just can't help it cause you're so ticked!

Oh, btw, you said people don't want to give positive energy as much as negative???  Sounds like you're hanging out with the wrong kinda people!  Positive energy is much better.  Why promote negativity in any form... even if you can vibe off it?

Anyway, enjoy!   And, good luck.  There are some pretty powerful things out there... just waiting for an open invitation.  I personally wouldn't invite negativity, but each to his (her) own!

Made a second go at it just because I was bored:)  I tried making a tiny psiball (loaded up with negative energy and directed to attack you with it... like you want) and telling it to at you this time so lemme know if you see any small tiny psiballs thinking they are all that trying to do mean things to you
