No.

And concerning that "energy" being diminished after the act, it's not true, I think it was the Mythbusters(?) who brought an MMA fighter(or was it a boxer) and had him have sex with his wife the night before his match and he actually had better performance than without.

Spiritually? Man I don't think it matters, we're not in 1950's anymore. And even if it did lower your spiritual levels even a bit, it wouldn't matter because on your level you wouldn't notice a difference in spiritual gains.

Unless you're going all out like monks type of meditations that you want to focus all your energy toward your spiritual development (which I don't think anyone on these forums do [because let's face it, you wouldn't be actually asking questions on this particular forum if you would be trained daily by a group of monks]) then this is totally irrelevant to your spiritual development.

We're a long way from where masturbation and sex was a bad thing for spiritual development, specially in our modern society where people just do these kind of things(meditation/AP'ing) just to help reach a small part of enlightenment.

In the end like I was saying, it wont make you progress easier. Monks do it because they're trained to meditate like that. They have access to some knowledge people don't about meditation and it might work out for them better if they do it like that.

Putting barriers down doesn't do any good if you don't know what theses barriers are for.

I think it doesn't matter. Meat or vegetables it really doesn't matter.
We consume to survive everyday.
Everyone has his reasons to eat something specific.

(and no I'm not talking about cannibalism or mental issues here[I'm talking about normal stuff])

If you think eating only vegetables can make you progress spiritually faster be my guest.
But to me, once we cease to be alive here it wont matter because we wont need to eat.
Questioning basic needs is just a distraction from the real spiritual questions.
Your physical body is just a proxy for your consciousness to ask questions.
Physical body needs food, water, shelter, etc...
It's just the fuel to your personal progress, nothing more.

Ethical questions are based on current ethics. They are almost like trends, they always change based on society.
All I'm thinking is, why would I change my eating habits for something that wouldn't have any impact.
Why would I change my eating habits, when up there, they are probably not even eating because they don't have a physical body.
Why would I change something that I never felt guilty about? <- this is important
If you change to vegetarian and you get distracted, or you start questioning yourself again on the whole meat/vegetarian thing to me you're not making spiritual progress.
Same goes for vegetarians that are insanely offended when we eat meat. If you are angry then somewhere you're can't control yourself.
If I am to keep being distracted because I crave a good steak while I'm trying to think about spirituality, I become inefficient, my train of thought gets interrupted.
If my train of thought is interrupted then so does my spiritual progress.

Thinking logically, in a survival situation, if you were a vegetarian and were stuck on an isle and died because you decided you would not eat a chicken do you really think it would boost your karma? I think that following human behavioral ways even god would not understand why you chose to not eat the chicken to survive a little longer.

If I had plenty of time to plan every meal I cook, every ingredients I choose, every week,
if I had plenty of money to hire a nutritionist that could tell me what ever works best for a vegetarian,
and whatever taste better without having to touch meat again for the rest of my life, then sure! I would do it, I'd switch to vegetarian.

I'm not rich, I don't have time, and neither does society.
And no, my brain filled enough as it is with existential questions, I'm not gonna add "learning to cook vegetarian 101" to it.

That sums pretty much sums it up for me.

P.S.: I know this is long but here another thought: Do you think we would have decided to eat meat while we were kids if our parents never told us what it tasted like? I'm pretty sure we would've went straight for the fruits and vegetables just because of their colors. Things that you do all your life are hard to change, even if it would be spiritually beneficial.
I mean, I feel sorry for the animals that died to feed me, but honestly every time I eat meat, I hope the animal died fast and that they're good wherever they are now. That's my only way to be grateful. May they rest in peace. I can't do much more than that unfortunately.

I suspect Kzaal's thoughts are typical of the majority of the population. The mentality that 'even if I stop eating meat, it won't stop the killing of animals, so I may as well continue eating it'. To me, that is a complete yellow-bellied, pathetic cop-out of an excuse.

Is your priority about the production of meat? What about the living, breathing animals that won't have to die? Don't they have a voice?

:-o There already IS an affordable alternative.

 Of course it will. If more and more people stop eating meat, then eventually the killing of animals will reduce. Climbing a mountain takes time and millions of small steps, not one giant jump.

What's all this baloney about 'spiritual advancement' - what about our fellow earth-dwellers, the animals themselves? It isn't all about us.

Honestly, I sometimes think people are still living in the dark ages. Animals are not second-class.

And if you counter-argue that plants have feelings too, well at least let's start somewhere with animals who we can hear and see their pain/terror when they are being killed.

Good lord, it's not rocket science.

And all this from a meat eater. A part-time meat eater, but a meat eater nonetheless. :|

Except you're never gonna change 7 billion people habits like that.
Even more so by saying their excuses is pathetic.
This is not how you do things if you want change.
Animals like cow don't have voice, they don't, not in our society. Normal people don't have cows as their domestic animal. They are considered livestock.
They have feelings yes of course but they can't express what they want. And sadly they're at the bottom of our food chain.
I'm not for the killing of animals for our survival but this is what we do, it's in our nature.
It's not gonna change in one day like you said.
You can't change 7 billion people, that's impossible, even when we'll face extinction and we'll be out of meat we'll still try to find a way to eat some.

People don't want to be told they're pathetic when eating meat in their family is how they were raised.
Same goes for smoking, I've been smoking for 13 years, do you think I want to quit because I think it tastes bad? Hell no, I enjoy the taste of it. I want to quit because I know it's not healthy.
I honestly was interested in going vegetarian not for spiritual reasons but for eating healthy.
But meat feels good, and I don't feel guilty because there's no way around that taste. There's no identical bacon tasting food that isn't meat and that isn't full of chemicals.
I'm sorry but I've been raised in a family of hunters, although it's sad to know how the meat got in your plate it's something you gotta get over with and stop thinking about it.

And until they figure out a way to mass produce meat without hurting any animal, or make some insects protein bars with good flavor available to everyone for cheap then I'm gonna keep eating bacon, it's as simple as that.
It's not spiritual, unless everyone does it.
And people who think that they're changing things by going vegetarian in an omnivore society is not realistic, the meat will stay on the shelf until it turns bad. Then they'll throw it in the garbage and the animal will have been killed for nothing anyway.
Wasting resources is almost as bad as consuming it. For me, I'd rather have it in my belly than seeing it rotting and wasted, at least it will have lived to it's purpose.

And most people think like that, honestly, almost everyone who isn't vegetarian or vegan will tell you the same thing I did.
Is it bad because I think like that? Not really because that's how I we're raised... Is it morally wrong that as a society we do this? I'd rather not think about it because I know I can't change society with my opinions.

Some things you just can't change like that. You just gotta get over it.

Edit: Animals don't have a spiritual advancement process like we do, they can't communicate their exact thoughts to other beings like we do, they don't have that spiritual advancement need as we do. Only humans do that. For animals it's as simple as did I have a good life?
Was I a good dog? Yes? Then off to the next stage of reincarnation.
Same goes for cows and all other animals.

Humans are the only one which brings ethical thinking and moral values into these variables which makes it much harder to advance spiritually.
It all depends on the person's perspective honestly.

Here's how I see things about this...
The problem here is that we have a huge society... Millions of people in big cities, Hundreds of millions in big countries.
Even if 10-15% even 20% of the population would turn vegetarian or vegan, that would only partially change the production of meat.
There's too many people who have meat in their diet, even if I stopped eating meat there would still be fresh meat selling.
They'll still kill animals for their meat for the potential customer.
Basically we're doing harm to animals just because we're overpopulated.
It's a problem, but there is alternatives that are going to come over the next few years.
Insect farms which turns them into protein, and also the laboratory grown meat that has been recently developed.

To me, even if I go vegetarian it wont change the fact that there will still be animal harm until we completely stop eating flesh that came from conscious animals.
So I just eat meat anyway until that there's an affordable alternative.

I don't feel like I've caused any harms to a specific animal or feel any guilt about it because otherwise everyone in the society including vegetarians and vegans should feel guilty about it, simply because of the overpopulation factor and the fact that we can't stop animal harm unless we all stop eating meat and we start using an alternate food source for survival.

Simply put... You can go vegan or vegetarian but it wont change anything.
You might feel better physically and/or spiritually, but it wont be because you're not guilty of animal killings anymore.
It will be because you eat healthy food.

There's no guilt in eating meat if it was already killed and prepared because of the overpopulation factor in my opinion.
We'll get there eventually, in the meantime, we just have to carry on.
Now if farms stops killing animals eventually and we're only sustaining with the above laboratories and other alternative which don't do any harm then I suppose there will be a spiritual advancement.
It would be a huge jump for a spiritually healthy society I think.

See, I think food habits is on a social level. Even if you stop doing what others do, you're still stuck in that society...

Maybe I'm wrong tho...

Either move out, or find a new spot to project.
There's no easy way to deal with entities... Theses defense mechanisms are not good when dealing with strong entities.
Defending means that you're trying to counter something. You're focusing your energy on something while trying to do another(project).

It's either you change place, or you remove the entity, and the only way I've found to deal with an entity is actually to listen to it.
Since I know my mind and spirit is strong I know I can let them in and lock them in there without them doing any damage.
I just keep them in until I know they wont do any harm to anyone anymore. Then I let them go.
You have to convert their negative energy into positive otherwise they'll just keep doing what they're doing.

Defense mechanisms are useless when there's something banging on the walls of your room and you can hear it. You'll still get distracted and phase out of your projection.

And yes, fear of demons or fear of entities can trigger these... Sometimes they're your subconscious representations of an entity, sometimes the entity smell your fear and come to you.
That is to you to understand what it is.
And same goes for fears... If you're dealing with a very strong fear of something you'll have a much harder time to deal with it.
If it's an actual fear then I'm sorry to tell you but those defense mechanisms will have no power on it.
You'll have to understand what your fear is and learn how to remove that fear.
Even the fear of demons and entities/succubus/incubus is one. You have to deal with that fear to.
Being scared of something is the #1 cause of projection bogging.

People very rarely haunted by spirits, spirits usually defend something unless they're truly malicious.

Also take note that since we're talking about an actual "Incubus" it might be because you have a strong sexual desire/thoughts.
You may either have a real incubus or you may have made up your own in your subconscious because of the desire.
The only way to get rid of this desire is to control it.

Again, if it's another subconscious creation then it means that even if you have defense mechanisms it wont do much because it's how you think. Defending against your desires instead of controlling them would have no effect.

You don't need defense mechanisms if you learn how to control your mind.
It's easy to just push things away. It's tough to change those things.

I don't know if this sound stupid for some people but that's just how it works for me...
To me the easy way has never been rewarding...

To me the only reason why we come back here is to understand what feelings are, not just feelings in general. All the feelings, to understand each and every single one of them.
Moral Values, and happiness, love...
All this stuff is what is required to move to the next step.
We are humans but the only way we can evolve is to understand "What makes us human".
After that, well you already know the answer, we're spiritual beings having a human experience.
Why do we need to reincarnate? Maybe we're just spirits that didn't learn all these feelings.

I just like to think that by learning to understand all theses emotions I could be a better spiritual guide in the after life.
I don't think there would be a logical explication as to why we would keep reincarnating in the same life or just in general without any means to progress.

Live these emotions and learn from them.
Appreciate these small moments.

Lots will change in the next 10 years plasma, keep working hard.
Take it one day at a time. If today is a bad day maybe tomorrow will be better.
#8
Plasma... We can't see the future like that. There's too many variables. Robots will take jobs, but that doesn't mean there wont be new type of jobs.
Your health might be declining but the modern medicine is getting more and more advanced.
Things will get better because people understand theses things, when something goes wrong people complain until it's fixed.
Humanity is not doomed yet.
Listen, I know it's tough and being disabled is really not something to look forward to, but you can't give up so easily just because you think that things are bad around you doesn't mean they wont get better.
If you're in america I know health care is terribly expensive and it sucks but they'll figure something out.
They can't let people die like that. And as we climb the years it's gonna get worse for them if they keep doing it because people know these thing.
Every year that passes people realize "What? 2020 and still no health insurance? are you kidding me?"
There will be riots until it's fixed trust me.
#9
What I don't understand Plasma, is that you were asking us a few days ago if there was a way to reincarnate in your current family...
Even if the thought of you killing yourself to help your family was completely selfish, the fact that you want to reincarnate in your current family once this is over makes it the opposite.
This would turn into a greedy move.
Greed is bad, and worst part of all this? If you actually reincarnated in one of your future family members then you'd be stuck in a rich family and then you would probably become greedy yourself.
Karma would slowly work it's way into you and then you'd pretty much be stuck with one of the 3 Buddhist poison.
Greed is even worse to fight if you're in a rich family, so you might even make your family suffer even more with your greedy nature...

Maybe you thought this through from the beginning and thought you could just reincarnate after all that and chill in your next life I don't know man.
I don't want to make any bad assumptions here so pardon me if I'm wrong but...

I don't feel it like I said.

No offense. I would just feel really sad if someone from theses forums actually did something like this, specially someone who's here almost everyday...
#10
I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish here plasma... I am speechless right now.

It's weird, for me pretty much from 12-15 years old to idk like 22-25 years old I've always wanted to kill myself because I found life too hard.
And now that I've finally found a meaning to it, every time that I'm about to go to sleep and that I feel like life wants to take me away and that I'm about to die, I pull myself out of sleep because I feel that dying, even in my sleep and even if it was god who wanted this, it would still be a bad move for me to let it happen.

All I'm saying is... I don't know... You shouldn't seek advice on a forum for theses kinds of things, Xanth has seen multiple scenarios like that happen over the past years and most of the time he says that you got to stop talking about it and just seek professional help.
We can't justify or defend suicide here it's not permitted.
And I would never tell someone that it's justified for whatever the amount of money his family would get... Life is priceless and it's a horrible thing to evaluate someone's life with money even your own.

Man... I don't feel good....
#11
Adding to what EscapeVelocity said:

Do you think that your family (even if there was a chance that it worked out) would be glad that they were using the money they had from your suicide?
They would have constant regrets. They would never say: -I'm glad that happened after all.
They would feel terrible ever time they touched a dime from your suicide. Specifically if they somehow found out that you did that for them.
I would be ticked at my sister if she did that for my family, even if we were homeless.

Besides Life Insurance companies do check stuff like that...
I'm sure your family would be much happier seeing you succeed in life than crying at your funerals and having to grief.
To me this would be very bad Karma.

Edit: another thing I might add as I'm reading this post again. Karma is not just about money or just helping others financially. It's about helping them emotionally.
Suicide is never good karma in my eyes.

You're looking for a solution to your problem and you saw that shiny goldmine from the insurance company. Trust me when things look too good to be true it probably is.
You have to think this through.
#12
By learning a lesson you are also making it easier on yourself for your next incarnation... If it gets easier it's somewhat better.
It doesn't mean that you retain the lessons every time tho, I think that when you reincarnate you have less trouble understanding past lessons.
It doesn't mean that the lessons don't get more numerous too...

The thing is, it can get easier, but it's always up to you how difficult you want to make it on yourself...
It's always up to you to decide if you want to use what you have learned or ignore it.

I've been thinking about Karma a lot lately, and I also think that you need to do either something extremely awful or something extremely great to have a noticeable effect on your next life.
There's definitely a buffer to make you go from regular citizen to "homeless mad person that hates everybody" same for the opposite.
What I mean by that is, unless you do a ton of good deeds all your life or one giant good deed, next reincarnation will just follow it's regular path.
Even the regular path can lead to enlightenment if that's what you're wondering.
It doesn't matter how many lives you live because it's not a contest.
#13
Ok I'm gonna attempt to explain this phenomenon in my own words.
From what I've experienced in my projections when I'm not actually trying to project and I actually do.
I go through a very very specific train of thoughts, eventually all this train of thought makes sense in my consciousness and I'm like "THIS IS IT"
Now, as soon as that happens I get a weird feeling about myself and I tell myself that nothing matters anymore.
My body, my own concept of who I am, all that stuff goes away, I don't care about myself anymore. I completely remove any desires because I feel like I actually know what god is at that brief moment.
I feel like I need to merge my consciousness with it and that's what feels like is happening.
My body feels drowned with immense energy.
It's a jolt of energy that goes through all my body for a short period of time.
I've woke up in the middle of the night standing up on my bed and I still have no clue how I even went standing up so fast.
It felt like an actual temporal distortion where for a moment I was super fast...
I still don't understand it, I was standing up then I forgot all the train of thoughts happened to get there.

You basically accept everything that you understand about god for a brief moment and it feels like it's actually merging with you and giving you it's powers...
This might sound funny but in real life I'm actually a very scientific person and I try my best to understand a subject before I talk about it... but this...
And I went to the doctor to see if there was anything wrong with my health because it felt as if I was dying quite a couple of times. Nothing wrong with my health.
People are like god this god that... What if this world was meant to be as something "natural" that happens when nothing exist.

All these interactions we have with people everyday, to me theses things they're all meant to be, to happen.
Lots of people feel like the Tao and Buddhist teachings are outdated. But to me, Nature can't be outdated...

This is pretty much what I base my train of thoughts on when that happens. What people see as god I see as just some sort of sentient energy that knows everything.
All our body is filled with molecules that touch each others and to me these molecules they communicate with each others and somehow all you can think about reaches god through these molecule's communications...
I don't know...
#14
Beliefs 8-)

No but seriously, the closer you get to enlightenment the closer darkness creeps up on you...
I get weird f*'ed up dreams all the time, to me they're just there to help me face my fears.
Don't let the fears control your life.

You know how nature works, the more you think about this kind of stuff... the more you let your fears take over, the bigger they get...
How I see things is... it always gets tougher... You just gotta keep going.
It's easy to just throw down your weapons and let fear invade you.
When you understand this you have control over your thoughts.
It's tough to always control and deny every bad thoughts you get but it's something you have to do to keep evolving and seeing the good stuff.
And dreams about hell and stuff, it's just your imagination running wild, when you think about something terrible and you can't get through it then you develop scenarios and your consciousness put that into a dream to show you what you don't want to see. It happens.

It's always backwards, everything, you want something too much, you never get it, you don't want something, you get it, everything is backward... that's nature man, nature is backwards lol... Or we're just the opposite of nature and everything we do is backwards and we should go with the nature instead... I don't know.

All I know is, since I started to stop worrying so much about my next life/reincarnation so much and worrying about death and all that stuff, I've never felt better, I actually enjoy stuff now and my time here seems much more enjoyable than it used to.

How many of the things you planned on doing in your life when you were 5 have come to pass?

Best laid plans of mice and men whatnot...

This^ pretty much, we always think differently as we get older.
There's nothing wrong with it.

I think we take what we are given.
Like someone who just got told everything he needed to hear, they lay their head low and even tho they're irritated by the truth that has been told to them, they still agree with the reasoning behind it and go on.
If someone of higher power tells you in the after life that you have to carry on and do another reincarnation even tho it's not what you want, but he tells you that eventually everything will pay off... It doesn't matter what you thought in your past life you'd probably still do it.
What if it's your own projected image of yourself that tells you that you have to do it and eventually you understand what is happening then you'll probably agree about it too.
I don't think we can easily choose who we want to reincarnate into. Unless we already understand what's happening and we're already enlightened and choose to reincarnate specifically for a single purpose.

I think that's what happens for reincarnation... you get talked to do it again and again. Until you find another purpose to your life. Or you find another purpose in reincarnation.
If you want to make future people successful you don't have to reincarnate in them. Write something. Say something. Do something that will make them remember or think about what they have to do.

We only get out of the Reincarnation cycle if we are not doing it for ourselves. Might still be a reincarnation, but it's a reincarnation with a purpose which is not selfish in anyway.
When you're not reincarnating for yourself, then you will find your purpose. Maybe you'll stop reincarnating together because you'll have found a way to help people from higher up. :)

Since no one seems to have explained to Sammie what is happening I'll say a few words here.

Sammie, the reason behind this, the reason why you don't experience as beautiful projections as you were in the beginning is that you already have experienced these a few times before.
In real life when we dream about something and we eventually have it granted or we obtain it by ourselves, we are happy the first time.
The second time and the third time a little less and a little less every time if the experience is similar each time.
Eventually it becomes like a second nature and that dream is not so much a dream anymore.

Searching for the same type of experiences in the astral realms puts you into the same position.
Meditation and astral projecting are there to experience new things, the best thing to do in that case is to have an open mind about it.
Don't focus your attention too much on anything ephemeral.
Finding beautiful songs/melodies in the astral realm is extremely fun but once you wake up, most of the time you can't remember it.
Peace of mind and happiness is a good way to go.

Another thing, guys please be friendly with each others, this thread started as a little question and ended up in a clash of ego's.

What is good intention in one's mind is wrong in another's. I can't believe that both will get the same passing grade. We'll see.

Each spirit is judged by himself individually, each and everyone of us has to go their own pace.
When it comes to a good versus a bad intention most people know if what they do is good or bad.
Unless that person has a mental illness and/or they suffer from amnesia they understand that if someone did bad thing to them they wouldn't like it.
Not everyone has learned how to counteract their bad habits because that's what they are, they are habits and/or impulsion(s).
They understand that they're doing bad things but they're addicted to the greed or reward from these.
Take example gang members: They reward their crew mates with "respect" for their loyalty and services.
So the prospects will want to be respected by their elders and I have no idea what they call them...anyway, they always want more so they'll do what they have to do.
There's no good or bad, there's skillful and unskillful. The skillful can handle his impulsion(s), his emotions/feelings and he knows how to listen to his consciousness.
The unskillful wont be able to do all theses things, so people with more skill than him will take advantages of him via his need of respect.

Although I don't like saying things like good or bad, you can learn what is good by looking at what is bad.
When you lay down in a comfortable bed it feels great, it feels relaxing, you have no concern.
When you sleeps on a hard floor you feel irritated and angry, you have a troubled mind.
Peace of mind is an easy way to distinguish good vs bad.

Skillful vs Unskillful, the ability to distinguish if you're at peace or if you're troubled.
And it's a problem because if you can't learn from that experience then you're bound to repeat it.
And some people repeat that same error all their life wondering what went wrong.
People just need to learn how to counter their habits from ignoring their true emotions and feelings.
And it's really all about that. Ignorance.
Ignorance/confusion create desires/envy/sensuality that lead eventually to hatred.

Buddhism call it the Three poisons and that's all it is about.
Honestly, someone who can just put these 3 things aside is already on a nice path to a better reincarnation.
If you can control it and even do good deeds without expecting anything in return and just be happy about the results it's even better.

People loose control, happens to everyone, some more than others, as long as you can get back in the driver's seat...

So we have to keep reincarnating until we get an IQ of over 200 and we like star wars and computer programming or something like that? Hahaha  Just joking.

So it seems like there are a couple of themes here.
1. We keep reincarnating until we gain all the knowledge we need (whatever that truly means or is, as knowedge is infinite.)

2. We keep reincarnating until we gain a wide variety of experience.(Experience is infinite.)

3. We keep reincarnating until we gain reach enlighenment, nirvana.

4. We keep reincarnating until we get rid of bad karma.

5. We keep reincarnating until our intentions are pruly to not reincarnate. Lol (Per Xanth)

6. We keep reincarnating until we have learned all the lessons. (Whatever that truly means because if knowledge is infinite then lessons are infinite.)

Maybe the truth is a mixture/ balance of all of them. Maybe we can never truly stop incarnating. Perhaps it becomes more about balance than a black  and white situation. But remember I want to reincarnate, just to have a good reincarnation. Even still the above theories should help point the way for me.

Other than that I think it would be a very useful exercise to for me to write down what I think a good reincarnation would look like and why. And how I can best get there considering where I'm currently at.

Thanks everyone for chiming in.

Plasma, it's not about your knowledge... Knowledge doesn't stay, it's about your how you are in touch with your emotions, your awareness and consciousness... Also about sharing wisdom and love.
Knowledge is very different than Wisdom. There's always people boasting around all their college/university diplomas and trying to wipe something off your face with it.
It's not good, you might feel more "powerful" because you know chemistry or physics but that doesn't change that you're a bad person if you keep boasting around like that.
People with great Wisdom are Sages, they don't do much, they observe, they take actions when necessary but above everything they know how to live with people... They know how to behave themselves.
They know that what goes up eventually has to come down.

The higher your wisdom is the better your spiritual experiences will be. You will see things no one else sees and I'm not talking matrix style here... Life changing stuff.
It's like the secret side of life..
There's a difference between understanding physics and understanding how life works, how human behaviors depends on many situations (temperature/seasons/moon phases etc.)
One is knowledge the other is wisdom.
If you have wisdom you are much more inclined to have either an easier reincarnation (because you will have the tools for your next human incarnation and human interactions)
or you will have accumulated so much wisdom that you are ready to take watch over the earth/planets from the astral planes/celestial realms.

Some people think only about knowledge man, and they don't care about wisdom, when it's like the most basic things you could teach yourself and will always follow you.
If you have the wisdom to know that you shouldn't do something because this or that can happen then you are in control of your intent via your consciousness.
Wisdom get "imprinted" in your consciousness because it's too feel so much obvious.
It's like a mathematical formula except that you don't forget it about it because there was too many variables or some things didn't make sense.

Everything is crystal clear when you look through wisdom.

If that someone is a criminal, you help him hoping he'll change, but he doesn't, and commits another crime, you accumulate bad karma. Indiscriminate goodness isn't a positive thing neither for you, nor for those that get injured as a consequence of your goodness. Agree?

I don't agree, karma is not transferable from chain reactions. What someone else do with their life is entirely up to them.
Now if you help a criminal knowing that he's a criminal and knowing that he's gonna commit more crime BECAUSE you helped him is another story, you're purposely doing a bad deed by helping him commit more crimes.
Normally this stuff doesn't happen with people who know how to spot bad vibrations a mile away.
I know when I shouldn't trust someone for something, but I also know that I'm not clairvoyant and I can't predict with accuracy what the person is going to do with their life.
So if you help someone who's a "criminal" now I don't know what you meant by that because you can be a criminal for tons of reasons, there's way too many nuances there, it's a very generic term.
You can be a criminal but you did prison and you're out, you'll still be a criminal to the society because of what you've done, it doesn't mean that you didn't learn from your mistakes.
I could help a criminal and he would be even more on the path to the righteousness. It wont change much to your karma tho, you won't get a promotion because he kept going on the right path after you told him to.
You'll get Karma for helping him at the time, but what he does after that is entirely up to him, who knows, maybe someday he'll remember what you said to him and he'll change his way.

If he doesn't at least you've tried.
Since this question was vague I'll say this: If you see someone dying on the street with a gunshot wound knowing he was trying to rob a store, will you still call an ambulance for him or let him die?
What if that person decided to walk another path and ended up a millionaire which gives millions of dollars every year for homeless people and foundations across the globe?
Remember, you wont earn Karma from him helping other people, but you'll earn the karma from which you just saved a life.
The could also go back and finish what he started, what does it change? You can't see the future.
Other people actions are not your actions.

Can you explain this more. Thanks for chiming in Kzaal.

It just means that even if you see something very subtle in a life situation that you can identify it as a good thing or a bad thing.
You can see people who try to manipulate others even if it's really nothing much, you can still see it.
Anything that implies someone's feelings, or someone's generosity or naivety.
Anything that someone can take advantage of. Learn to see theses things even if they're really small.
That way when you look at yourself you can see when you do something wrong. And you can stop doing that thing.

Once you're there all you have to do is good things, that's all.
It's funny because people often think you need to do miracles in order to have a better/more suitable reincarnation when it's actually not the case at all.
All you have to do is, keep the bad deeds to a minimum while doing as much good deeds as you can.
To me if you lend someone a hand for something and they smile and thank you then that's a good deed.

Take care of yourself and try to leave that ego as you go along.
It's hard to do but it can be done.

Edit: Sometimes even a situation that appears to have nothing wrong might have a bad side hidden behind it.

Here's what I think about reincarnation Plasma.
You're only searching for something more "suitable" than your current reincarnation and that's perfectly fine.
What I've learned to accept is that: Whatever you do, there's always a possibility that you end up in the same exact life you're currently living if you can't be awaken completely and permanently.
What do you do then? Learn to observe, be there when it counts...
Your mind has to understand all the subtleties between the good and the bad.
A better reincarnation? It would be to actually understand this^ and then doing what you think is the right thing to do in all your life situations.
Doing so will make yourself truely believe that you are worth something more, a better challenge maybe? or an easier life?
It all depends on what you want to do.

For your college man, just do what you think is right, don't fear what people might think about you if you drop out.
Find your passion and stick with it.

I don't really listen to binaural beats. I did a few times maybe 4-5 years ago too, and I found a few videos on youtube like 3-4 months ago.
The reason I don't listen to theses is because I have very good musician ears and I can remember the frequencies at which they vibrate.
If I have problems focusing my thoughts and clearing my mind normally I'll just think about the frequency of the earth for example and let myself get carried away.

I can't meditate with anything covering my ears, maybe I could use some speakers but I'd get tired quickly too.
And sometimes what I don't like about binaural beats is that they'll put some background noises or some weird melody that has nothing to do with it.
I know some of them don't but I don't bother searching for them, and then downloading/transferring them into my phone to listen to, when I already don't like having something in my ears while meditating.

Also, remembering a frequency is a really good way to train your memory.

Phasing is something that develops as you keep experiencing the astral, you can read stuff on it and try to acquire this ability by practicing it or you can let it come to you naturally.
I discovered that I was phasing only after I read a few posts on the forums about it, I didn't even know what it was and I was already doing it, so it's not that difficult.
When you start tapping into the astral and it gets more and more common, eventually you'll have a shift in your thinking methods and you'll only have to get into that "zone" where you can go phasing as you like.

This is a wonderful description of how to become open to the Phasing process. Nothing really needs to be added...
Thanks for this Kzaal.

Thank you! And you're welcome!

Here's a note on how I can achieve phasing on the go:

Normally I close my eyes, make sure that I'm in a comfortable position and I immediately start focusing on my breathing.
I take deep breaths and as I exhale, I'll go almost to the point where there's no more air in my lungs (I do not force it tho).
When I exhale I just imagine all my thoughts leaving my body as does the air.
For me it's really fast, as soon as I take my 3rd or 4th breath it's as if I was starting to get dizzy, the darkness from when I close my eyes quickly become very light and it soon becomes greyish/white light.
And I just focus on that feeling of calm and purity and dizziness. And eventually my brain feels like it's shutting down and I just start receiving information.
It's really weird because when I phase like that, most of the ideas and answer come to me by itself. I don't feel rushed to do anything.

I can do it my eyes opened but I need to focus my eyes on something and just wander off in the peace of mind.
The reason why I say that for me it's easy is probably because I don't ask many questions anymore.
A lot of people when starting projection and phasing want to experience great things. (Flying/magic powers/have conversations with higher beings etc.,)
For me I just focus on the most basic stuff, emotions, peace of mind, wisdom and higher thoughts.
And I think there's a lot more to it than that, mainly because I've been like most guys/girls out there trying new stuff in the astral and learning.
It's just that I'm at a point where even in my real life, my thoughts are changed into that specific direction.
When your thoughts are very defined and you know exactly what you want you don't need to think about it anymore, it just come naturally.
Same as someone who practice sports or ride a bicycle. Muscle memory and subconscious automatism.
And for some it can feel boring "-Oh look this guy is projecting only to learn about feelings and stuff"
But no, it's not lol! Feelings are the most wonderful things you can experience that is actually something very real!
And feelings are also real in the astral, this is what makes it beautiful and never boring.
I love doing this stuff.

Hope it helps!

Here's something funny:
I met Bruce Lee in my dreams yesterday and he was skateboarding lol.
