Thank You Lumaza,

Usually, my lucid dreams lead me to the void and I go from there or I will do "higher self now" but I am just thinking from the point of view that they are the same, is that even necessary?

If you did nothing and just followed the dream to unfold could you still have an experience "outside" of that F2 area?

Just trying to understand if all DILD experiences would be F2 because I feel like usually when people ask the question of how to turn a lucid dream into an astral experience that's what they're looking for.
#2
Xanth,

Just curious. In the case of a lucid dream (specifically DILD) would you do something, in particular, to break out of the more subjective F2 dream reality?

Thank you so much for your help EV. I have been experimenting the last few days and have actually found it so much easier to visualise snowboarding or faster paced movement in general than say walking through the forest so I will continue with it and see how it goes  :-)

Progress wise so far I am still just getting to the stage of having astral sight but am unable to hold it for long. I know I can do a little better with indirect techniques but I'm hoping if I can dedicate myself to this I might get a little more consistency.

Will keep trying.

Thank you so much again.

This is great to read. I'm actually excited for you, can't wait to read more. :-)

Thank you Nameless!

EscapeVelocity thank you for your reply that really gave me something to think about. It's true I am often taken to a hospital setting and have not 100% figured out what I am supposed to do there. Setting my intention to go back is a good idea and what you said about being guided explains why I have been struggling to go astral snowboarding in the french alps haha

Definitely not discounting my past experiences but I want to learn the phase technique so that I can hopefully get a little more consistency. Otherwise, I end up going long stretches of time, and then it almost feels like I'm back at square one.

But yes I will definitely try to recreate my past experiences and see what happens. With the doorway visualization technique, I am going to add hospital double doors to the list of entryways I can cycle through.

I think my intent was just to get some kind of visual scene. I'm not very good at visualisation but I'm trying to learn using the doorway technique. I don't think I was expecting to actually have some astral sight without first going through a traditional WBTB exit. I'm excited to try again tomorrow and next time I will try to have a clear intention on my mind.

Okay so I was meditating in bed and got to the mind awake/body asleep state with only mini lapses in consciousness. Suddenly I felt like my laptop was sitting on my lap and I reached out my hand to touch it. As I did the whole scene opened up in my astral eyes. My room was very clear and lit with a purple hue. I looked at my laptop and all these cool things were happening on the screen... game characters jumping around and patterns. I thought to myself "omg I think I got it" referring to the phase. Then at the same time I heard in my head really loud "Yipeeeeee" and a moment later I lost the scene.

UPDATE

Ok so within the past 10 years I have only managed to project around my house (or other houses), through space and to the hospital place that they keep wanting me to go to. I have wanted to have more control over my destinations so this whole idea of using the void as a launch pad has been top of my to-do list.

After writing this post and realising that I was already experiencing the void I had a little win last night...

My intention was to create a portal and travel to New York. I sent this intention out into the void.

I was picked up by the back of my neck like a kitten being held by its mother. It didn't hurt and I felt very safe. I was lifted higher and higher and when I looked down I could see the entire Earth below me. It was spinning slowly as if to let me pick my destination. Then I started being lowered back down. I realised I was going to be dropped into the Ocean which was fine. I had never experienced swimming in the NP before so I was pretty happy even though it wasn't my chosen destination. Once I was dropped off I began to swim and took A few gulps of the salt water to engage my senses.

I saw an island and decided to make my way over but as soon as the decision was made I was already there. The island was rocky and there were creatures living on it. They looked like a cross between a seal and a dog but much bigger. They were pretty hostile and on sensing my movements they would come one by one emerging from the rocks rushing to attack me... but when one creature moved, it would always be attacked by another which meant I was safe.

One of the seal dogs was especially big and I praised it when it saved me from an attack. I said "good boy! Good boy!" In a high pitched tone. The creature loved it and began walking by my side and protecting me in exchange for my praise...

Soon after that I lost my astral awareness.

Thanks heaps guys.

I did read through Volgerles write up after I posted and found it to be really well written and in-depth.

The article itself pretty much answered my question but I am glad I asked anyway because I often get things wrong and find a personal response helpful  :-D

I remember probably about 6 years ago looking through here trying to figure out how to get into the void and trying Frank's suggestion of the Venetian blinds with very little success but I was a lot younger then.

The information was there and yet I just wasn't clicking on.

Classic example of the saying "When the student is ready, the teacher appears".  8-)

Oooh thanks for sharing I will add the anchor trick to my to-do list for sure!

It's amazing that you get such vivid imagery so quickly.

I have been off and on trying the phase method for years but I can't seem to grasp it. The indirect method works well for me though which is something. Fingers crossed I will have another light bulb moment.

Thanks, heaps Lumaza!

The penny has dropped! I think I had over complicated my ideas about what the void state was. I'm excited to actually spend some time there and play instead of trying to get out as fast as I can.

I would purchase a copy. Sounds good and I love food  :-D

I eat a somewhat balanced diet between 11am and 7pm and meditate while fasting.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Void question
November 26, 2019, 23:50:15
Hey guys is it possible to experience the void state straight away after you exit?

I have always just thought there was a delay in my astral sight but now that I think about it... it's always the moment when I open the bedroom door that I can finally see.

What I am wondering is if I'm perhaps projecting straight into the void state and then finding the door which sets the scene through my expectation of the door being my bedroom door?

I hope that makes sense and sorry if it's an obvious question.

Thank you kindly.

Hey guys,

Over the last few weeks, I have stepped up my meditation practice sitting for longer and more regularly.

I was hoping to start making some progress toward phasing and AP in general since for the most part, I am projecting maybe once a month sometimes less...

My problem is that lately every time I meditate I am experiencing uncontrollable spasms in my face.

I have tried to control it and readjust during the meditation which helps for maybe a few seconds.

I have also tried to simply go with it which usually ends in me contracting into one long gurn.

My eyes blink hard and fast, the sides of my eyes and forehead twitch, my nostrils flare, the tip of my nose shakes like a bunny rabbit and my lips curl.

It also sometimes feels like there is energy swirling inside my face and my eyes follow the swirling up and down making the shape of an infinity symbol.

Anyway, does anybody know is this something that will go away on its own or is there anything I should be doing to create more calm amongst the chaos?

Any links or reading material will be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps he completed what he came here to achieve.

I know Frank recommended books by Jane Roberts as accurate to his understanding and in 'The Seth Material' it is said that people sometimes get sick and die once they have achieved what they set out to.

Of course, being terminally ill would be terrible but if you knew that death was not the end you likely wouldn't be too concerned about making your transition.

But here we are again with the speculations  :-P

Awesome experience and thank you for sharing!

The whole idea of changing DNA to promote healing reminds me of this video by Dr. Bruce Lipton

Steve Pavlina's biphasic and polyphasic sleep experiments:

This was awesome, thank you!

And thanks guys for all your replies.

As far as OBEs go, for me, I often find myself very drowsy within the non-physical and my awareness usually drops away pretty quickly...

I also find myself rushing a lot... like if I stop moving I might "ping back".

This kind of limits my ability to explore because I am always too busy trying to maintain awareness to simply calm down and go with it.

So I decided to just give the whole biphasic sleep thing a try. As I said, I wasn't enjoying a full nights rest anymore so felt the timing was right.

I think my routine has been a lot less intense than Steve Pavlina's just because he was experimenting with just 20 minutes of sleep per every 4 hours.

Anyway, 1 week in and here is what I have found so far with the biphasic sleeping pattern.

1.) I sleep 4 hours at night and 1 hour during the day... In the beginning, I planned for my daily naps to be a little longer but it seems that one hour is all my body will permit me.

2.) Actually, the sleep durations are fine now... I was a little tired in the first few days but adjusted quickly and I have noticed my sleep blocks feel a lot longer than they actually are. I have woken up a few times (especially in the night) thinking that I must have overslept only to find it's only been a few hours. The same goes for my day nap, it always feels like more than an hour now (I guess this is due to reaching REM quicker).

3.) Productivity has been amazing. I am working from home at the moment and I am loving how much work I get done while the rest of my household sleeps. Around 3 am seems to offer peak levels of energy and inspiration. It's currently 4:35 am here in New Zealand and it's absolute bliss. I am sitting under my window... the sky is still dark and it's raining... Being that I am a young mother of 2 I don't often get this kind of peace so it would be accurate to say that I feel an increased sense of gratitude.

4.) Speaking of parenting, my son commented that I have been more patient lately which was nice.

5.) Dreams have been much more vivid and insightful although this didn't start happening until about 4 days in. In the past week, I have had only 1 OBE but still early days and technically although I feel adjusted, I am still in the adjustment phase.

6.) I have actually lost weight which was unexpected. I felt I hadn't been eating very healthy in the last week and was almost certain that it was going to bite me on the butt but surprisingly, I stepped on the scales the other day and I had actually lost weight, not gained! Could just be a coincidence but I will wait and see...  :-D :-D

I did search through the archives first and didn't find too much but I know there are people here who have at least read the books.

In saying that, with the old 9 - 5 work week, I can imagine it's not something everyone has the flexibility for.

Why not get a whatsapp or messenger group going?

Hi friends,

I recently read 'Seth Speaks' and absolutely loved it!

Immediately I am attracted to the idea of biphasic sleep patterns and I feel like this is something that's been calling at me for a while for a few reasons...

1.) I wake almost every hour anyway
2.) Getting all my rest in one go always results in my body aching throughout the day.

I also like the idea of increased productivity, more energy, and potential health benefits.

My question is, has anyone here experimented with biphasic or polyphasic sleep patterns?

If so how did you find it?

And did you feel like it helped with your NP expansion and recall?

:-D :-D Aw man, so good!

Nice NZ grown weed, it's not usual to contain chemicals. I'd say they have a pretty high tolerance too.

And they both had the same kind of experience.

I've been theorizing with him that there could have been a vibration shift allowing for an ET encounter but that's just me :-P
#22
No doubt the weed altered their vibration but nobody hallucinates on weed.

At least not where I come from lol

Hi guys,

My boyfriend told me this story tonight and I thought I would share it here and hopefully get your thoughts/feedback.

OK so we live in a little surf town in New Zealand.
My boyfriend and his friend had driven 5 minutes out of the village to this quiet rural road that leads to a really private part of the beach.
They sat down there for a while to smoke some weed and then afterwards, decided to make their way back.
while they were driving back up the winding, rural road something ran in front of them that caused my boyfriend to swerve and pull over.
Right in front of them was an 8 foot tall shadow figure with bright yellow, glowing eyes.
His headlights were right on the thing but as soon as it saw them, it quickly ran into the woods out of sight.
And he said it was super fast.

Both him and his friend literally sat there for about 30 minutes in disbelief at what they just saw.

Now my boyfriend is a very matter of fact kind of guy... very grounded, likes facts, isn't really into spirituality at all so I 100% believe him that this happened.

What the thing was, he has no idea.

Hi friends,

OK, so today I tried the experiment where you place an unknown card face down and try to guess it by picking it up in the non-physical.

After some light meditation, I abandoned the mission as my short OBE led me elsewhere.

I was outside in my vegetable garden but instead of fresh produce (as per my waking reality) the garden was filled with baby sunflowers.

I sat out there for a while observing before returning back to my physical awareness.

I kind of forgot about the OBE and this evening I decided to shuffle my tarot deck and pick three cards.

Now, I am not super experienced at reading tarot and do it more for fun than anything else but the cards I picked tonight were too intriguing not to share.

So I got The Queen of Wands, The Sun, and The Strength card.

All three cards are connected symbolically and relate to the sun.

The Queen of Wands and The Sun both display....sunflowers!!

Actually, these two cards are the only 2 in the entire 78 card deck that contain sunflowers.

Coincidence or symbolic?

Either way, I thought it was pretty cool  :-D

Wow!

You all are amazing!

Thank you so much for your helpful replies I forgot how much I love these forums.

It means the world to know that I am not the only one on a spiritual journey with emotional challenges. I have felt in the past that in order to be "zen" I have to shed these experiences entirely which is really difficult when they are a very real part of my current earth experience.

The confirmation that it's okay to cut the cord if it's inhibiting self-development is so reassuring and I needed that so much.

The energy of the last few months/weeks/days has been a lot.

I am so excited to try out the Dolores Cannon technique and the Kurt Leland one too. I think these will be tremendously helpful and would love to explore if my emotional baggage has created restrictions for me in the NP.

Lumaza, I love the idea of using dreams of past trauma as a trigger for lucidity.

EscapeVelocity, the passage you quoted is absolutely beautiful and you have sold me on the book  :-D thank you so much.

Thank you all again, your combined words have been exactly what I needed.
