QuoteYour saying that 99 percent of wars are caused by debate?
Well, that wasn't quite the point I was trying to make but I believe that you actually distilled it further to the truth. People disagree on something that is very important to them and people tend to get hurt.

Quote...but we are talking about debating online in a respectful manner. Perhaps you can explain that a bit more.

By all means, please continue. I am enjoying your discussion and did not mean to imply that you should stop. I was merely acknowledging that it is a rare thing to see people keeping the peace while discussing topics that can be sensitive to some (I'm not a sensitive person, to be clear).

QuoteYeah I've used the Acronym IMHO "In my humble opinion" at times to show respect.

IMHO is not a necessary disclaimer here. :-)

Challenging a person's belief system can be dangerous (research 99% of all wars) so always be respectful and leave open the possibility that you yourself may be the one who is wrong.

I am a recovering Catholic so I understand how hard it is to let go of a belief system that is sustained through fear and intimidation. I wholeheartedly believe that Jesus Christ walked this planet and should be revered but like everything else that is good in this world, someone will find a way to make a buck and corrupt the principles.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't a person in this world who has complete faith in their belief system but many will defend theirs vehemently just to put on a good show for the "almighty".

Anyways, I've read a lot of threads where ex-christians get together and bash their old beliefs but you guys have been the most respectful. That says a lot.

To me, free will doesn't mean we have the ability to do anything we want at any time. There are always limitations posed either by ourselves, nature, or from others. The more we learn, the more options we will have in any given situation but there will always be obstacles.

The strength and beauty of free will really comes into play when we have no real options available so instead of whining about something, we accept it and make peace or don't. Either way, it's your choice and your free to think and feel what you like.

I think you are starting to understand that AP is not necessary in order to project. It is just a natural state that your body goes through while sleeping but if you ever gain your awareness while in SP, it is like a free ticket to ride.

With that said I do have a technique that induces SP for me most of the time.

After you have experienced SP a few times, you may notice, at least this is true for me, that the sensations seem to originate from your chest and stomach area. But if you suck in your gut, the muscle that is doing the work is the one I use to initiate my SP. Hold your breath for about five seconds while tensing that muscle and repeat the process. After about five minutes, try breathing normally but see if you can still recall the way your stomach muscles felt when you were doing the exercises. If not, then do them again. If so, just breath normally and Sp should sit in rather quickly.

I need to add that this breathing exercise can cause some people to hyperventilate so be aware of that.

A fool's paradise is still what? A paradise. :-D

But honestly, I can't see why anyone would bother posting a rebuttal to jordo's claims. He obviously has his subject mater down pat and any fool who does is met with sound logic and practical reasoning. Who can argue with that? :-o :-o :-o

Hi I've heard of agent orange from looong ago.
It's a chemical supposedly used to remove leaves from trees to remove cover for war purposes.

The US used it heavily in VietNam and it caused a lot of health issues for the many soldiers that were exposed to it. It's nasty stuff.

Rakkso,

Can you see how expectations get in the way of our awareness? I believe you "caught your snap" in that apartment. Most people would have totally missed how they got exactly what they were asking for because they only expected it to occur when "dreaming".

QuoteHow do you begin to generate a scene?

Think about doing a task. Say that you want to build a wall. What materials will you use?

Say you decide on bricks. Great. Are they all the same size and color?

How heavy are they?

Flip them over and inspect that they are all solid and intact. Look out for snakes.

Will you just stack them up so that anything can knock them down or will you use mortar? That's good if you do.

Are you gonna mix your own or just open a bucket of pre-mixed.

I know that's a boring scene but at some point, I'm sure you imagined some aspects. When you can no longer go with a scene, don't fret and analyze. Move on to another task in your mind.

Do this enough times and you will eventually notice a detail that you did not purposely generate. You might turn to grab a brick and notice that a tree is there or even someone else. That's always fun. :-o

If you're not doing anything different than normal than I would guess that it may be that your participation here is kicking your subconscious (I hate that word but I'm not here to reinvent English) into overdrive. Consider it as a bonus projection instead of one with less awareness and you'll be all the better for it. :-D

I thought this was an interesting article and considering the conservative scientific view of the site, it was also fair...to a degree. To test their theory, it seems that they just disoriented the partcipants' senses and didn't actually stimulate or simulate an OOBE in anyone. I could also be misinterpreting their intentions and/or findings but their reasoning sounds fair enough to me. It neglects that many people learn to develop their recall after multiple experiences.

As Xanth would say, they were never given the opportunity to develop a base-level awareness either.

QuoteBecause you are on a Forum named the Astral pulse, you are going to find many explanations of things that seem strange. But we do look at the logical and sane explanations first!  wink

I laughed when I read this. Most of us are obviously open to many interpretations and we sometimes take it for granted that not everyone understands that we do look at the logical explanations first.

It doesn't matter if you are religious, agnostic, or an atheist because all we really disagree on is about 1%. But when you're dealing with an unlimited universe, 1% is a gulf that may never be bridged. :-)

Sadly, when it comes to remote viewing, there are simply too many variables involved that most people who do it don't understand.  It's as subjective and unique of an experience as Projection is.

In fact, it *is* projection.

I agree that remote viewing is every bit a form of projection but people who only practice remote viewing do seem to not agree or at least not entirely. They are only interested in verifiable and objective targets in this physical reality.

I think that as a matter of training and practice, they stay away from the "how's" and "why's" because the subjective clouds their viewing in which they already freely admit has enough subjective "junk" as it is.

This show is no exception to the misery part but I just think that Dave Schrader does excellent interviews.

I'm sure you already know most of what McMoneagle has to say but he talks about his own beliefs in more depth in the last part of the interview which was interesting.

Although the deaths have been well documented in mostly healthy men, I still feel like it has more to do with their belief in it than anything else. It has been medically accepted that extreme fright can cause death in certain people but they usually have a preexisting condition.

Since it is normal for everyone's heart to go into abnormal rhythms while sleeping, I imagine that it is possible for healthy people to die from extreme fear if it occurs at the right (or wrong) time during sleep.

I do not have any beliefs in demons but what you are reporting is certainly a true and well documented phenomenon.

For those of you who don't know who this man is, he was highly involved in the remote viewing project with the US military for about two decades. IMO, he has conclusively proved that remote viewing is a reality. He attributes his ability to having an NDE, training, and natural talent but he believes that anyone can do it.

He even talks about his time at the Monroe Institute when he worked with Bob himself so that he could develop control of his OOBE. All paid for by the US military. The interview is broken up into three one hour sessions.

They can't really claim ethnic heritage though, because the people who now inhabit Egypt are absolutely not the same bloodline that was there 3-5 thousand years ago. They are no more Ancient Egyptian than I am Native American for living in the US. They can claim geographic occupation, nothing more.

I was going to mention that point but there is a sec that sill claims a bloodline to the pharaohs and the Egyptians did recently invent a device that can detect and cure both Hep C and the aids virus. This is every bit as miraculous as the pyramids themselves so I suppose they might have a little spark of the ancient ones still in them. :-o  :-o

I find that the power of love is quite powerful everywhere, unfortunately it doesn't always get you the results you would like in this waking reality...but you did good.

Always remember that there is nothing in the astral that can stand against a loving intent. They'll either respond in kind or leave you be and I'm no hippy.

Lion is speaking from the fact that the majority of people who fail to Ap do so out of fear.

There is rational fear, the kind that can keep you alive in a war zone and irrational fear, the kind that can keep you from having an amazing experience because you are unaccustomed to or unfamiliar with the natural process of having an AP.

It will be a loooooong time before we find out what is really under the sphinx. The Egyptians are a proud people and are perfectly happy with the idea that they themselves built everything. Any study that wants to prove anything other than the Egyptians built the pyramids and sphinx will be outright denied and the team will not have access.

Welcome Lightstorm.

Once you've become used to the astral, you will indeed encounter all sort of different entities. From my experience, none are bad. They just have a different outlook on things. Some will need your help and some will want to help you. Just use your common sense. You wouldn't follow a crack dealer into a dark alley because he wants you to help him feed his doggie, would you?

You can change your appearance and project your image to be anything you like but one thing you won't be able to is change your energy aura. In that sense, you really are who you are until you work on becoming a better person.

In many cases you will just encounter your own dream characters but they are easy to spot because they will act and respond exactly how you think they will. In other words, nothing they do will surprise you.

I'm just hoping he isn't working for Britney Spears and trying to build up some hype to announce a new record. :-D
#122
Years ago I was kicked out of a meeting because they said that I wasn't serious enough and needed to commit myself to the experience. I now know they were right then but I think they would accept me now if I ever ran across them again.
#123
I'm not trying to scare anyone but I've heard some sinister laughing before. I just chuckled back until I gained my full awareness. It's different for everyone but there will always be some similarities and each exit can have it's own feel.
#124
Well I'm not too excited but I am very interested in what he has to say. :?

Isn't it obvious? They used slave labor from the gulags.

Very good article. I wonder why the main media hasn't picked it up yet? Then again. I'm not that surprised.
