I had a great OOBE last night. I live in New York City and had wanted to go to the top of the empire state while out for a while. Nearly every time i get out i am not able to go too far because of drunken stooperness. Last night i still got drunken stoopered from being out of body but was able to fight through it:

I woke up to a warm pressure pushing up the back of my head up to my crown and down to my throat. It stopped at my throat and spread out and around and into my whole front and back neck area. I watched this all happening on its own and wanted to participate along with the warm pressure so i lifted out my rtz arms and placed them in the warm pressure current. It spread out through my hands and i played with it a little fascinated by how strong and real the force of the pressure was. Although  it was spread out all through my neck and shoulder area there was a concentrated flow into the throat chakra area.  The more i paid attention to the flow into the throat chakra the more dense and added resistence was felt through the currents flow. At this point the flow was getting quite dense and became a little uncomfotable so i backed off a bit.

I decided to do something else and opened my astral sight, looked around the room and saw a faint shadow pass by the foot of my bed. A little outraged at a shadowy figure passing me by i tore myself completely out and tried to grab towards the shadow to see what it was, but nothing was there. Everything seemed fine so i headed out of my room and was struck by the typical drunken stooper syndrome i get while in the RTZ.  I expected it and was ready for it so i stammered as quickly as i could through my door down the hall and out the back door. The stooper was wearing off the further i got from my room and by the time i was out of the back door i was somewhat ok. I knew to keep going so i took off towards some buildings all the while the gravity instinct is pulling at me and even trees that i passed over seemed to be magnetically pulling me towards them. I kept going up as best i could and was free once i reached a certain distance from the ground.

Now about 20 stories up i found a rooftop patio and set down there to gather myself a little. After looking around at the buildings and listening to the rarely quiet city i lept off the patio and headed for the empire state building which was not too far. I passed inbetween tall buildings manuevering my way to the empire state and saw the familiar red white and blue highlights at the top. Before going up to the very top of the needle i saw that there was some fog up there which was a little dissapointing because i figured i wouldnt be able to  enjoy the view of the city.  Regardless i headed up for the very top. Around the needle, kind of at the root of it, were platforms and it was cool to see details you dont get to see from afar.

i set down on the top most platform and saw some weird lookin objects, sort of torch like or large round cans with folding over serated edges, didnt know what the heck they were but one of the larger ones had a date on it in roman numerals which i can only remember the number 15. After seeing that i kept moving and zipped up to the top of the needled, set down in a crouch and saw faint lights of buildings through the fog. I tried seeing through the fog in which i would go into tunnel vision and the city below would become a little town within the tunnel. I thought about flying up into space but my attention started feeling thin and then felt the gentle tug and almost instantly awoke.

Later today i learned from a snapple top that at the top of the empire state there used to be blimp stations. Maybe some of those structures were the remains of those stations.

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread in which all of us energy workers can share any tips or helpful hints learned from experience that isnt either mentioned or emphasized so much in the books we read on the topic. What have we all learned from experience that we can say "try this" to make NEW or energy work in general more applicable to ourselves?

Ill start off with a little sumthin sumthin,

I've noticed that the best times to practice NEW is upon waking or going to bed at night. during both of these times it is natural to be very relaxed and our bodies are in a physiological as well as pyschological state of relaxation that is conductive to energy work. I can also emphasize the importance of these times as being a natural time to do the work, it seems to be more effortless on my part in manipulating energy. The kind of attitude that it feels like is an awareness of energy that is always there and it is a matter of simply being in a relaxed state to be aware of it.

A little while ago i was watching a child's breathing after it had just thrown a fit and cried. I noticed that it was quite deep and natural, its almost as if nature has perscribe a specific breathing rhythm that has an effect to recuperate and rejuvinate preceding emotional exhaust. I tried mimicing the breathing pattern of the child that night after imagining myself being emotionally exhausted and i felt incredibly relaxed, calm and at ease. Awareness of energy came naturally from the state of relaxation and i didnt feel like i was imagining any feelings of energy, it was simply just awareness of something that is always there. Next time anyone does something emotionally exhausting take note of the breathing cycle you get right after it is all over, it is very recuperative and emulate it during a restful period during the day and you should be able to become aware of energy instead of creating a sensation of it.

Has anyone heard anything of the happenings of RB's next book? When is it due for the bookstores and what is the main topic?

It was a rough night for me i couldnt sleep, tossed and turned the whole night. I lay over on my back around 4:00 am and i felt trance sensations kick in, the wierd part was that i was wide awake. I started feeling very heavy and i couldnt move my body but my eyes were still open and i was wide awake fascinated at what was happening. Around my legs i felt something gooey like a thick gel, I tried moving my arms to get myself back in control but they wouldnt move. So, i took out my awareness arms and brushed the gooiness away, when i looked down at my legs at the gooiness i saw black and white stripes surrounding my legs, it reminded me of the pattern you see on zebras.

All the while i still have my eyes open and am looking around as if i were wide awake. I decide to see if i could see my awareness arms thinking it would be amazing to see something like that while physically conscious. i passed my awareness arms in front of my face and saw the two shadowy limbs pass by. After i had cleared away the zebra stripes and saw my arms i got suddenly very tired, regained control over my body rolled over and went to sleep.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Da Vinci

From a post by John Litzenberg:

The Da Vinci Principles: Curiosity
OK, so I'm posting the exercises as I encounter them from How to Think
Like
Leonardo da Vinci: Seven Steps to Genius Every Day, by Michael J. Gelb
(Dell
Publishing, New York, NY, 1998: ISBN # 0-440-50827-4):

Here's the first set:

The first part is a self assessment. You're supposed to do this in
preparation for the first exercise, answering yes or no to the following
statements:

* I keep a journal or notebook to record my insights and questions.
* I take adequate time for contemplation and reflection.
* I am always learning something new.
* When I am faced with an important decision, I actively seek out different perspectives.
* I am a voracious reader.
* I learn from little children.
* I am skilled at identifying and solving problems.
* My friends would describe me as open-minded and curious.
* When I hear or read a new word or phrase, I look it up and make a note of it.
* I know a lot about other cultures and am always learning more.
* I know or am involved in learning a language other than my native one.
* I solicit feedback from my friends, relations, and colleagues.
* I love learning.

OK, now that the assessment is done, the exercises are as follows:

* Keep a journal
* Make a list of 100 questions that are important to you. Your list can include any kind of question as long as it's something you deem significant:anything from "How can I save more money?" or "How can I have more fun?" to
"What is the meaning and purpose of my existence?" and "How can I bestserve the Creator?" Do the entire list in one sitting. Write quickly; don't worry
about spelling, grammar, or repeating the same question in different words
(recurring questions will alert you to emerging themes). Once you've finished, read them through and highlight themes that emerge. Consider the
emerging themes without judging them. Are most of your questions about
relationships? Business? Fun? Money? The meaning of life?

* Review your 100 questions and choose the 10 that seem the most
significant, then rank them in order from 1 to 10 (of course, you can add
new questions and change the order at any time). Do not attempt to answer
them at this point, simply order them.

Now contemplate the following "power" questions drawn from different
peoples' top ten lists:

* When am I most naturally myself? What people, places, and activities
allow me to feel most fully myself?
* What is the one thing I could stop doing, or start doing, or do differently, starting today that would most improve the quality of my
life?
* What is my greatest talent?
* How can I get paid for doing what I love?
* Who are my most inspiring role models?
* How can I best be of service to others?
* What is my heart's deepest desire?
* How am I perceived by: my closest friend, my worst enemy, my boss, my
children, my co-workers, etc.?
* What are the blessings of my life?
* What legacy would I like to leave?

Choose one of the following topics inspired by Da Vinci's passionate
questioning: a bird in flight, flowing water, the human body, a landscape,
reflected light, a knot or braid. And in your journal, ask at least ten
questions about it. Again, there's no need to write answers; in Curiosity,
we focus on the questions. For example: How does a bird fly?

* Why does it have two wings?
* Why does it have feathers?
* How does it "take off"?
* How does it slow down?
* How does it accelerate?
* How high can it fly?
* When does it sleep?
* How good is its eyesight?
* What does it eat?

Then choose a topic from your personal or professional life and do the
same
exercise -- ask 10 questions about your career, your relationship, your
health. Record the questions in your journal -- no answers yet, just
questions.

experiment, and every experiment yields its fruit in knowledge." - Hagbard Celine

Throughout this whole month i had had some major manuevering problems during Lucid and rtz projections. Before going to bed i brushed up on some of what robert bruce mentioned in Astral Dynamics to help with manuvering and the gravity instinct. I made it a priority to try out what was mentioned in the book next time i got out; ie, feeling as if your environment is being pulled toward you and feeling the rush or pressure of air against you as you speed up with major emphasis on the feeling part.I also read up a little on WILDs while i was looking through the book but didnt make it a priority to have one.

Upon going to bed i relaxed completely feeling nice and warm and cozy, did some mind taming exerizes from RB's book and fell into a half-awake half-asleep day dream in which i had a bids eye view of myself hopping and playing in a playground. At this point i was awake enough to create what was in my environment in such a way that i could say " i like swings let me put them over there, and here will go the mokey-bars, etc" and what ever i wanted to be in the area would pop up there, but it wasnt a oobe because i was still aware of my physical and kind of imagining all of this. all the while i still have my mind on the taming exersizes keeping any clutter from interferring with making my playground.

The more i kept my mind clear the more vivid and real the imagination became until the point where i found i was in first person perspective completely surrounded by the environment i had just imagined as if i were really there. The amazing part was that there was no exit sensations or vibrations or even the slightest feeling of falling or entering a trance it seemed like a seemless conscious entry into my imagination world.

For alittle while i swung on the monkey-bars, which were bright blues and reds and yellows. at the end of the monkey-bars was something i didnt create consciously but upon seeing it remembered its purpose. It was a huge canyon with a deep wide river and at the other end was a museam. I remember seeing the museam and saying "i would like to take a visit in there" but first i would have to cross the river filled canyon. The only way i wanted to get there was by flying and i took its presance as an exersize in helping me to learn to fly a little better. I took a running head start and leaped off the edge of the canyon high into the air and flew over to the other side using and practicing what RB mention which worked like a charm. It was nice to see that his methods worked. Definitely the main part of getting better at flying is using your feeling imagination, feeling as if you are manuvering instead of trying to use the body to move.

I cant remember where i read about having a conscious separation by pulling yourself out during a lucid dream, but the idea popped in my head that night so i told my unconscious with priority status: "next time i have a lucid dream i want to change it to a rtz projection." This is what happened:

I woke up during a dream because i had been able to realize that where i was sitting in the dream was nowhere i had known before. As soon as i became lucid i remembered that i was going to try to get a conscious projection. In the dream i was sitting in a chair at the same time i reached out for my rtz body and tried to get up out of the chair and simutaneously get up out of my body in bed. Kind of using the feeling of getting up out of the chair with my lucid body would give some kind of momentum within the rtz body enough to get out was what i was thinking.

At that thought things got very very difficult, especially to move. It felt as if i were glued to both the chair and my physical body. It was incredibly tough to will myself out consciously. But i was able to get out enough to notice that i had awareness of my surroundings in both the lucid dream body and the rtz body and also very slight physical sensations. The basic feeling was that there was three me's with three separate minds all working at the same time in different environments, hence very freaky. In the end i wasnt able to keep up with the mental effort it took to make a transfer from lucid to rtz and the experience ended with the lucid ream ending and rtz body jolting back in the physical.

Anyone else try this method with success??

In this projection i had a lot more control, maybe due to the fact that it was in the evening.

I woke up to roaring and rising sensations around 3:00am, separated and flew out of my window. I had thought about going through the roof but i get really disorientated when i try that, the window is much easier to get through. I had pretty good control so decided to fly around my neighborhood and look for simularities or differences from the real thing.

As i was flying around the rooftop and lampposts, everything seemed exactally as it would in the physical: cars driving by, the ocassional passer-by, buildings were the same, even little things like air vents were placed according to thier physical counterpart. The only difference i noticed was that i was able to fly and the sky was more bright than it should have been.

I turned a corner to find a window with a light on at the top floor of a building. It stood out in my mind so i investigated. I flew through the window and stood before a young woman with her infant child on her lap and what i guess was her mother sitting next to her on her bed. I knelt down in front of the infant who was facing me, smiled and told her my name hoping that she would be able to see me. It sort of look towards me but wasnt acknowledging my presance with eye contact or a reaction. I then stood up and looked around the room and at the mother and grandmother and saw that they had stopped chatting and were watching the baby and said "what is she looking at"? When i looked back at the baby she was stareing right at me with wide eyes, as if she were hngry and seen a plate of food. It totally freaked me out and i suddenly flet like i was intruding so i leaped out of the window and flew back home to my body.

This was my first Day-Time projection, it was the weekend, nothing too pressing to do so decided to give it a whirl:

I was laying on my right side, initiated some raising sensations in which a water-like pressure pushed back and forth across the roof of my mouth. the pressure was very strong and a little bit painful as it bounced back and forth against some line of resistance on both sides of the roof of my mouth. As it was bouncing the lines of resistance gave a "giving in" or breaking apart feeling in which i pushed the pressure concentrated on the right side of the roof of my mouth. The pressure became more dense and pushed very forcfully against the resistance untill i heard a snap and what felt like as if someone had shot me in the roof of my mouth with a rubber band. Along with the snap a rush of tingly vibes went up through my right eye and down the back of my head. The entire process was repeated on the left side of the roof of my mouth right after.

Upon the breaking of the resistance on the left side of the roof of my mouth i felt a fluidic warm turning through my whole body which i took as a sign to get out. I spun out and sat at the edge of my bed very disoriented kind of like a i just woke up feeling or was sleep walking feeling. I looked at my hands and passed them through each other just in case. When i stood up i lost vision and had to use a lot of will to get it back. I said outloud " vision, clarity, vision, clarity!" but nothing happend and i realized i wasnt using my intent and will, with those additions i repeated and the lights came back on.

I tried to move and found i was in a drunken stuper it took all my will to make just a few steps, i stumbled and fell through the door of my room head first. As i was passing through the door i could see the grey fabrique of the interior. All the while i am fighting off waking up but going through the door was too much, i stood at the otherside to see my surroundings fade and i woke up.

Eventhough, i woke up a bundle of energy and had to do a little victory dance (the funky chicken) as Day-Time projections had only been partial up untill this point.

I had a RTZ projection which turned into an astral projection last night.

the time was around 3 am, in which i woke up to a sensation of cold water washing up and down my torso. At the time it was a bit too cold for me so i took my RTZ arms and flowed what felt like warm water through them to the hands and placed them over and through the the cold water sensation around my torso. when the cold water sensation flowing up and down my body turned warm from my hands i used the momentum of the ebb and flow to gradually pull myself down and out through my feet. the momentum carried me out to the foot of my bed in which i took a couple of moments to gather myself and situate to my new RTZ environment. As soon as i was all settled i was wisped around my room in a circular fashion by what felt like a very strong wind.

The wind pulled me through the wall of my room in which i blacked out for a moment and then regained consciousness in front of an old wall of stone about 6 meters high and with a gate centered in the wall in front of me. Where i was was simply beautiful, i was surrounded by a fall setting with leaves of a shimmering gold and red very gently and quietly dropping from the many tree branches. the stone wall before me was covered in a beautiful green moss and the path leading through the gate was well worn but the natural environment surrounding it seemed respectfully preserved and cared for.

I spent the remainder of my time walking around the woods along the path talking with a young lady about where i was. She informed me that i was in a resting place created for those who would like to be at peace and rejuvinate and that my presance was requested there by a good friend of mine's deceased mother. I was told by the young lady i was walking with to tell her daughter to talk to lefty. This request didnt make much sense to me and upon thinking what lefty would mean i was brought back to my room about a foot above my body and woke up.

last night a very queer thing happened. i woke up after about five hours sleep, read a little and lay down to project, entered a deep trance with vibes and raising sensations couldnt get out completely but instead stayed in the deep trance in which i felt pressure on the left side of my face. I brought my attention to the pressure which then centered into the left part of the joint of my jaw. the pressure resembled the sensation i get when doing awareness brushing but was incredibly dense and quite painful, it felt as if the very mucsles and bone where being shifted and moved around with the brushing movement.

This has happened twice before in different locations in my body once my nose, inwhich the dense energy traveled down my nose very painfully i almost felt like i was going to pass out from the pain, and my right ear. in all three cases the experience has effecteed the area physically as well. my left jaw area now cracks and clicks when i open it, my nose the next day was very sensative and my right ear is also very sensative to loud noise( if i am around anything loud my right ear get a sharp pain) Can anyone offer some insight or similar experiences or ways this kind of thing can be dealt with?

what are the top three things you think are most important to getting good results with oobe?

mine:
1.enthusiasm
2.feeling or seeing your hearts desire(projecting) coming natural and expected, having strong faith in yourself.
3.a method

Sometimes i feel like some negs will harrass and be buggers and astral baddies because they are asking for help. so who out there has a story to tell about a time when you felt like your lovin rays of light did some good for a neg? one example:

Some years ago my mother had been having frequent nightmares. She would often wake up in the midle of the night in a cry for help that would also wake me up. during one of her nightmare nights and after everything had been settled down, i projected and went to her room to find a big fat grey/dark cloud with dirty yellow eyes hovering and circling around my mothers bed. The dark cloud had noticed me but didnt seem to care and because of that it gave me time to take a mighty upward reach into light and love that shone out of my arms as gold and white light into and at the grey cloud. the ceiling above the dark cloud opened up into another source of very bright gold/white light which i was steering the cloud toward. But alas the dark cloud started writhing and resisting in which i chose to let it go and way it went. low and behold my mothers nightmares were reduced very much after that night, but not completely.

Negs like fear, especially ours, sometimes its good to just get mad and kick some astral booty! So, who out there has a story to share about a silly neg makin a mistake trying to creep you out? Ill start out with one:

I woke up in a dream in which i was in what looked like India outside of what looked like a temple. While i was floating up a path to the temple a green guy with a blue turban was hopping like a flea in my direction!! I was quite timid at the time( and still am) and automatically assumed it was a neg coming to get me. This funny lookin green guy is getting closer and closer so i threw two knifes at him while he was in mid air, both struk him and he stopped in mid air wherer the knives had hit him with a look like "what the heck is this guy doing to me?". He comes down, takes the knives in his hand and starts walking toward me with a smile, meanwhile im thinking "oooohh s***". Because he was smiling i didnt get too scared to attack him again, but he took my hand and gave the knives back to me with a nice smile and dissapeared. *poof*

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Channeling Vs. Telepathy
November 30, 2003, 01:16:30
I used to think that channeling and telepathy were pretty much the same when it came to getting info from beings not in this realm. After looking at some examples of people who are channeling and some who are communicating telepathically with beings ive noticed some differences.

Channelers seem to be unaware of what they are saying and even at times thier voice changes to whatever being they are channeling. With channeling there seems to be some loss of the chanelers individuality or autonomy or self while the chaneling is going on, almost like a kind of possesion. Whereas with telepathic communication the individual is aware of what is going on can remember what was said and is still him/herself.

I bet both can be used to get perspectives form whatever being the person is in contact with the same degree of depth, but why would a channeler have to submit an amount of autonomy to get the info where as a person using telepathy doesnt?

I have seen discrepancies between two reliable sources (Robert Bruce & Tom Chalko) on the color of the after images (auras) of colors themselves. Bruce sees Red giving a green aura, Orange giving pale green, yellow giving pale blue, green giving orange, blue giving yellow, indigo giving gold, Violet giving pale gold, and pink giving iridescent green.http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/auras/auras_4.htm

Tom Chalko,another person who has studied auric sight, reports red gives turquoise aura, turquoise gives red aura
orange gives blue aura, blue gives orange aura
yellow gives violet aura, violet gives yellow aura
green gives pink aura, pink gives green aura
http://www.thiaoouba.com/aura_eye_exercise.htm

I used the Aura tool at Robert Bruce's websitehttp://www.astralpulse.com/guides/auras/auras_view.htm to determine how I perceive the aura of the colors all with a white background. All matched Chalko's except for Pink, which i couldnt get an aura for, orange gives blue and violet gives yellow. With orange gives blue i initially saw a purple color which then turned blue, and with violet gives yellow i saw a yellow-green color.With all the other colors the aura's were very distinct and i dont see how they could have matched with what Bruce has reported.

Has anyone else tried to verify the aura of colors? if not and your interested to see how you percieve the colors check out the links in the above paragraphs. What do you see?

I just thought i would share something i realized this week.  When trying to have an astral experience i found it very useful to allow yourself to fall asleep while gently watching it happen. Gently because if you try too hard or concentrate too hard on trying to have one you wont be able to experience the shift in your state of mind that is required to "get out". If you concentrate too intently youll mentally be too aware to get out but in contrast if you dont focus enough youll fall asleep. I think it takes a bit of experiencing both extremes (concentrating too intently and concentrating too flacidly) to find this gentle concentration in which you can experience the shift in awareness. If you find yourself laying in bed for hours concentrating till beads of sweat fall down your forehead but not getting any results, it may be safe to say that your overdoing it. If on the other hand your out like a light as soon as you hit the pillow it may be safe to say that you need a little nudge in the direction of focus. When you become familiar with both extremes you know what not to do and can find a middle ground between both extremes that allows you to keep your mind aware of the shift to astral. So as a method to induce an astral experience it may be worth investing in purposly making these two mistakes of focusing too much and too little, so that you can peel away at the contrasting extremes to the point in which you can watch it happen as a natural extension of your level of awareness.

Any comments/feedback is greatly apprecitated

Since i have been going through a dry spell of astral activity i decided to take a rest from trying to do it at all lately.I asked some questions concerning astral projection:

Should i begin attempting to astral project starting tonight?
answer=no
(this was dissapointing i expected to get a yes thinking the answer yes would be a form of encouragement)

Should i not attempt projection because i am scared?
answer=no
(fear has been a major contributing factor to my dry spell. Again i expected the answer to be yes because of that)

Did i get an answer no because you know that by telling me not to that it will only make me want to do it more?
Answer=yes

Seems like the pendulum knows a lot about my personality. If anything now i am more interested in projecting than letting my fear keep me from it. Thanks Mayatnik!

Something i find interesting based on my experience is the role an internal state has on the astral environment.
There have been times when i felt like something would attack me and nothing did, and times when i felt nothing would attack me and something did. Inversly, there were times when i thought something would attack me and something did, and there were times when i thought nothing would attack me and nothing did.
Except for conscious manipulation, i am currently unable to predict when my internal state will have an effect on the astral environment and when it wont.
It has been said in many books on the subject that that the astral environment is highly receptive to thought and strong emotion. If this is true then why are there inconsistencies concerning my internal state( thoughts and strong emotions) and the environments reaction to my internal state?

Welcome to Magic! / seeing faces in a mirror
October 02, 2004, 20:07:48
ive looked at my face a certain way in the mirror so that it would look like it would change form sometimes looking like it is someone else. and  the same can be done looking at someone in front of you. it can be kind of funny to start noticing the changes as they are happening, but do you mean you see another face over your shoulder while looking in the mirror?

yea there is a good chance we will see a watered down conan since its an earlier time slot. Probably wont see anymore masturbating bears but texas walker ranger will be good to go.

Persinger has also published a number of articles on how geomagentic activity alters pychic functioning. In one article, i forget the title or the date(i can get back to you on this if you are interested in reading it), he found that there was an increase in poltergeist activity reported during periods of high geomagnetic activity.
