The heart beating thing only happens when I'm extremely deep in trance, and stops as soon as I get up, so it probably is the heart chakra.. Guess it just takes some getting used to
I'll try using relaxation techniques before laying down trying to project, I think I was still stuck in the physical in my Solar plexus area.. I read about this in the book Astral Dynamics, wish I could recall what it said to do, but I gave the book away 

How clearly do you see these images?
If they are accompanied with 'blots of light', or 'white', and vanish quickly then Stookie's right, it's probably hypnagogic imagery.
When I get Remote Viewings, I see things like flying over a field, or the ocean, and usually it's a crystal clear 4-second sequence that repeats itself about 10 times.

Yes, that's my little boy, when he was about 6 months. He's almost 2 now so there's a big difference

I asked because this is such a big part of who I am; what I do. I don't want to be in a relationship where the other person thinks I'm crazy, which I fear(KNOW) may happen if I tell him what I practice.

Exactly, thats why I dont tell anyone about my AP'ing.  I dont want them to start thinking I'm weird

Now that's something I can relate with. The excitement for change and "awakening" that comes with things like 2012 prophecies isn't inherent in the event or prophecy, but the change and importance it brings to you. And that excitement can be found everyday at all times, not just in preparing for an unknown event or when the clock says 11:11. It's here now.

I have RV's all the time, I see the future through them though.

i rpojected using a similar method only its more so focusing on my buzzing in my ears which eventaully seem to come to unison in the center of my head and the noise goes away eventually instead it just feel like alot of pressure then suddenly pop i phase somewhere else

I use the same technique!  Unfortunately, I can only 'pop' out on extremely rare occasions.. 

Has anybody found that after starting to practice energy work - meditation, AP, Lucid dreaming - That they are becoming less and less interested in their lover, or wanting somebody who is more metaphysically interested/spiritually connected?
Or somebody who can 'go' on journeys with them, instead of having no idea what you're talking about and having no interest to learn ?

I feel really selfish for asking this..

Maybe you 'interpreted' what he was doing, incorrectly? If that makes any sense..

  As a recovering addict I know how hard it can be, the withdrawls are utterly horrible but you're a champion for going through them and kicking the stuff for good.
The withdrawls are what kept me on drugs for the longest time.

Maybe don't expect too much when you try
The higher your expectations are, the more angry/frustrated you will get when they don't happen. I find using affirmations helps ALOT, more then I ever thought they would, maybe they will help you? Saying things like..
"I project out of my body and remember everything when I wake up."
"I safely leave my body and remember everything in the morning."
"I love to Astral Project."

Saying things like that over and over again out loud seems to work wonders! Also, the saliva thing is a problem for me too sometimes, I just leave my mouth open.
Try not to get too frustrated. Keep with it, it will happen, and that's a promise.
You just have to keep trying 

Well, when I first started practicing energy work and trying to induce an OBE, after my sessions I would be shaking all over and have a huge headache. That slowly stopped, so I assumed it was my energy body getting used to so much energy flowing through it.
Lately, when I lay down to try and induce an OBE, I become totally aware of my heart beating. I can feel every single beat throughout my entire body and through my ears. It thumps like a big drum, and I don't really mind it but felt the need to mention it because lately I've also become more emotional and distressed.
I find myself sad alot of the time, for no apparent reason.
And last night, while doing my usual before-sleep routine, I successfully (partially?) separated from the physical, but as I was moving my astral limbs around, trying to do the roll out technique, I felt a horrible horrible pain in my stomach near the solar plexus chakra. It felt like I had been drop kicked in the stomach, or like I just swallowed rat poison.. yuck. It was a horrible, aching, sickening pain.
I had no choice but to abort the attempt, and as soon as I stopped it went away. Why did this happen? 

Perhaps your interpretation of what happened is what makes this seem like a bad experience?
Maybe whoever grabbed your wrists was not doing so to try to hurt you, but instead lead you somewhere you needed to be? Or help you out of your body? I know it can seem even scarier when you're in the dark and can't see who's there, but just a suggestion.
   

And the problem that many people have with you is not what your saying, it's the way your saying it.. your way or the highway.
"Believe me or you will be punished, bad things will come to you, blah blah blah."

Seriously Kurt, lay off.  You scare off many new AP'ers with your nonsense.
You can not be harmed while AP'ing, it helps to know how to ward off negative entities/beings, or they can taunt you or try to scare you, but they can NOT harm your physical body.
Read a book.

So last night, while trying to AP, I fell asleep (I think) and this is what I dreamt..

I was walking around in a big, dark building with my brother and my cousin Raena.
We all had to sleep in seperate beds in the basement,  so down we went. I told Raena I was going to try to Astral Project. I felt all the sensations, and saw a 'pool of energy' infront of me, so I tried shifting my consciousness into it. Suddenly, I shifted over, into this other world. Everythign had a luminous, gold 'glow' to it. The air sparkled under the sun. I saw my cousin there, and I saw her hair in all sorts of golden colours. I flew up into the air, and as I flew up I saw more and more of the lands I was in. The castle I was in, was beautiful and bright on the outside. I looked beyond the green, sparkling hill I was standing on, and as I flew up I saw a whole new era on the grass below the hill. The farther I looked, the more gathering of different times I saw. The first group of people were dressed in blue with pointy hats, and big fluffy pants. They were singing and dancing with strange instruments. The next group I sasw were dressed in green, but I can't remember exactly what they were doing. The farther away the groups got, the closer to this time it seemed they were living. I flew up and over them, beyond their different lands, and at the end I saw a crystal clear ocean. I wondered if I should dive in or not, but decided not to since I was still a little bit afraid.
The world I was in was sparkling like crystals, the most perfect land I have ever witnessed.
Then I woke up.

I would have said that this was AP, except for the fact that I saw my cousin there.
Was this really a dream?
(If it changes anything, I was repeating "I will remember my OBE" last night for about 30 minutes before I went to sleep)

How long have you been having conscious projections?
I've read that for the first while that you have projections you will generally be on the lower Astral planes, and gradually you will be able to move on to the higher planes.

what ? I don't get it
