Good day, everybody. I just have two questions:
1. In the Astral plane, are there other beings there that came from there/somewhere else, or is everything just created by our minds?
Quote2. Before I project, I meditate (Probably not the only one here who does thatThose "hallucinations" are actually hypnagogic images. When this happens, you're to ignore them... eventually they'll pass. They're just random creations by your mind. Giving into them puts you into a dream.). But I need complete silence to meditate. Either complete silence or a white noise track. Recently, I discovered that a white noise track that is about an hour and a half works the best for me, but due its sensory deprivation properties, I tend to hallucinate while listening to it, and it disrupts my meditation. Does anybody know of a beach sounds or forest sounds track that is about an hour and a half long? I was thinking I'll take the natural sound track and put the white noise track in the background. I'd post it up here if you kind fellows would like.

What should my next step be?
Thanks

Quote from: Gbob on July 27, 2009, 15:11:25Yup, that's sleep paralysis.
Paralysis as in I will not be able to move my physical body even if I tried? Cos I always thought sleep paralysis was the 'feeling' of the body being paralysed, but not actually being so...
Quote from: kurtykurt42 on July 28, 2009, 00:26:45You already have one of the most advanced pieces of technology in the universe... your mind. You need nothing else in the Astral.
I can think of quite a few practical uses that advanced technology could be used for. Perhaps, a navigation and storage device that stores data on different locations and beings. Or how about a suit that allows you to enter other dimensions such as this one. I have read reports or beings appearing in silver suits with the ability to hover and fade in and out of the visual spectrum. It is possible these beings are using the technology I am describing to travel to different dimensions.
What I am interested in is the technology that we have been unable to create that exisits out there in the universe. If we were able to understand how this technology works and were allowed to use it, it could provide irrefutable evidence for the proof of astral projection and interdimensional travel. And although I'm not determined to find proof, it would go along way to help many others understand what OBEs are and possibly help others open there minds to new possibilities.
Quote from: Gbob on July 27, 2009, 12:41:28That's what I was hoping you'd say.
Well, I usually meditate and then try to project straight afterwards. Is this bad?
When I meditate I normally try to relax the body and clear the mind of unwanted conscious thoughts in hopes of altering my consciousness to that of the theta state. I then do this until I get tired/can't focus anymore.
I don't normally expect anything in meditation other than trying to project.
Quote from: Gbob on July 27, 2009, 12:59:43Once a day is fine.
Oh I see, I will try to meditate once a day or every 2 days.
QuotePerhaps another very important question is, how do I know when my body is completely asleep? Is this when you are not aware of the physical body anymore and can't feel it? Will I be in paralysis? Because I am always able to move my body whenever I want, however my body feels very heavy...Sleep Paralysis, yup.
Quote from: Gbob on July 27, 2009, 12:31:09That could have very well been what it was.
I'm not sure. I know what the vibrations feel like however I don't think this was a vibration. It felt as if my astral body suddenly aligned back with its physical body and it felt like a nudge of the body. But I was never aware that I AP'd at any stage :S
*EDIT* On second thoughts, you know when someone doses off and they randomly get a twitch of the body? It might have been this. What does this usually mean?
Quote from: Stookie on July 27, 2009, 12:13:44100% agreed.
I do not suggest meditating more than once a day unless you know exactly what your doing and why. It's probably better to have one good session a day. You'll get more consistancy out of it.
I also relate meditating to working out. Constantly stressing your muscles will not do any good. You have to work hard, then take a good break letting your muscles relax, then come back fresh. That "freshness" helps a lot when it comes to pushing even further.
Rudolph Steiner stressed the importance of separating daily life and meditation, not letting a trance or meditative state slip into your daily life. The physical should be the physical.

PS, as there's already a thread open about F-10 i'd like to ask here, when i try AP any time other than 'as soon as i wake up' i always get so close to F-10 then a random limb thats not quite numb yet (usually the only one left to go) always starts to ache/itch for some reason, or something makes a loud noise, both of which obvioulsy upset my concentration... does anybody else have this sort of problem? and if you 'did' and don't any more could you spare any advice? as you can imagine this is quite annoying.
