Hey hey Dycfer! :)

First of all the rapid heartbeat is seemingly a very common occurrence with the first few experiences. I had it when I began experiencing Sleep Paralysis and remember my heart leaping out of my chest.. not figuratively... literally. Actually saw it. It was an SP hallucination of course.

1) Yes.. it's called your spinal chord.

You meant the silver chord... I know. I've never noticed one with all and and any experience I've ever had. I don't believe in it and started OOBEs with no prior reading material so didn't even know it was supposed to exist. This will tell you a great deal.

2) It depends. When I started my remote 'visits' were very accurate. As I got older they became less accurate. This was because I started reading material that told me otherwise... so I started believing what I was reading. I started doubting and became mush more interested in the nonphysical 'realm'.

3) Yes... try finding your house when 100 feet in the air. Unless you studied google maps off by heart you may find it very disorientating. On the other hand... you will never really get lost because you are always 'here'.

4)  No.

I said no to number 3 because I think he was worried more about getting lost during an OOBE and then never being able to find his way back to his body. So to me, that is not possible under any circumstances.

But of course anybody can get lost in their perspective during an OOBE.

A Patsy, as of being a fake and deciever? You mean just doing it for their 15 minutes of fame.

I don't think a true Seer would do that. That sounds more like what a "wantabe" would do.

Unfortunately, the Police Stations are bombarded by these kinds of "Posers"!

That's not a patsy at all. A patsy is someone who is set up to take the fall sort of like a scapegoat. The only difference is that a scapegoat is just unfortunate to be around at the wrong place in the wrong time. A patsy is usually picked and then framed.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy. Monica Lewinsky is the person you just described.

here's the irony of all this. Everybody is already experiencing the astral realm which is just a belief centered term. I believe in the term Non Physical Material Realty or just NPMR/NPR for short. It's just that most people don't realize that they"go there in a dream". I personally think that it is more accurate to say that every single thought we have while either awake or asleep happens in the NPR.

We can not experience anything until our brain has processed the information of our interaction with the environment we are currently in, be it physical or otherwise. Once all the meat in our skull has finished processing the data, our consciousness will then verify the interaction as an experience.

If you're willing to give that theory a shot, then you can see how you are in as much danger or just as safe as you are every moment of everyday, regardless of the reality you are experiencing.

Did I really just say that?

Unfortunately they have been known to "arrest" the Seer as well.

I was watching TV last year where they were reporting about a guy in Georgia that had killed a woman and daughter and taken the son hostage. I did a Phase session and for some reason saw a white building, small, it looked like it may have been some kind of small Church in the Country. Two days later they found the man hiding with the boy behind a white church.

I then looked at some other missing people/murder cases and what I saw I never wish to see again.

I learned then that I wasn't cut out to be a Psychic Investigator. I didn't have the stomach for it, nor did I want.

I recently posted an OOBE that I had but I chose to view it as a "dream" because it was just easier for me to deal with it in that context. But I feel that the events in the "dream" really happened to these guys during WW2 and it was horrible knowing that nothing I could do would change that. I could only imagine how much worse someone would feel having the knowledge before hand and being helpless to prevent it.

Also, wouldn't you think that a seer who injected themselves into an investigation is at more risk of being a patsy than a seer who is sought out for their help from the coppers?

I had a deaf roommate many years ago. He was a man and I learned the basics of sign language while living with him. That was over 26 years ago and I had not thought of him at all until I saw her and recognized what she was doing was sign language. Then I looked it up online and I found out what it meant. I am just wondering if she was trying to tell me not to worry that she was there to heal me. I have an open wound healing from the inside out. It is healing faster than most. On Christmas eve it was 3 inches deep and 6 inches long. Today it is almost completely healed. It is quite possible healing beings are helping me along with my healing process.

It is quite possible.

This little girl may not have been a ghost in the sense that it was once a living human. Perhaps it was a positive being taking on a non-threatening image of a young child to indicate to you that your prayers are being answered.

I'm sure someone else will post with better insight than I have but I think you already have some intuition as to what all this means.

I hope you get better soon and stick around the forum even when your busy life gets busier and back on track.

I will have to look at the equation more when I am not physically ill. I am usually good at math. The thing is about math theories is they are just theories. Our genetic codes are passed down our family line. My Grandmas both had adult onset type 2 diabetes. My Uncle does not have it. My mother and I have developed it. Our strength, sight, hearing, health, and maybe even our intelligence is passed through the genetic code of our family tree. Our bodies do not always choose the best from our genetic codes. Two deaf parents can have a child who hears. Still many of us behave as opposites of our parents.  I am nothing like my mother. My daughter is nothing like me personality wise and I am happy with our differences. Not all family members have the same beliefs or lifestyles. Here are some Stanford notes on the "Price Equation".

As for being kind to another person, animal, living being, in life is possibly a selfish act that depends on the situation. The person being kind does not always benefit. There are situations where the act off kindness can be harmful for the individual being kind but they sacrifice for another person. For example say you see a child run in the street after a ball. You get hit by the car instead of the child you saved. I would not say you benefited from that act of kindness but you did it because it is a natural instinct to rescue the child. I have been in this world for 50 years. I have not always been in situations where a kind act I did was benefiting me. Especially with being around children. A neighbor was beating her children almost to death. I stepped in and saved them. They were put in a foster home and they are safe. The woman egged my house, stole from me and threatened me. Did I benefit from saving her children. Her children have thanked me since they grew up. They benefited by what I did. They lived the rest of their childhoods free from abuse.

That was a beautiful thing you did by stepping in and helping those kids. Who knows how far and wide the negative ripples would have travels had you not done so.

The thing is, this is a mathematical theorem and not a theory. Supposedly it holds true in all sorts of weird ways that are hard to imagine. I am a surveyor so I know trigonometry inside and out for the most part but this equation and how to plug in the numbers for the different variables is beyond my current capabilities so any insight you may have is appreciated.

thanks.

Welcome.

I hope you are feeling better soon. I wish you could have found this place under better circumstances but it will do a great job at helping you pass your down time.

Please feel free to tell us about your OOBE's and ask any questions you have.

I read one of your other posts first and I would like to hear some more about your encounters with apparitions if you don't mind sharing.

Keep exploring.

I have absolutely no idea what could be the cause so I'm essentially wasting your time on this but I do think it's weird or at least odd.

But I am a gem stone NUT. I have always loved the idea of having a pirates treasure chest overflowing with gems and precious metals. Not for the monetary value (who am I kidding) but for the beauty of it. Anyways, I have a mini treasure chest (about the size of a shoebox) about a quarter full with silver and gold jewelry (some broken but not all) and lots of various loose gems. It is just the myriad of colors and light shining off them that is mesmerizing to me. I swear it is not the dollar value and I do not ever plan on selling any of them.

But I will GIVE the loose stones away to people who need to replace a lost stone or plan on having a custom piece made. No strings attached. I find that for every stone I give out, two take it's place.

Sorry for the worthless post.

I read that and wondered what you were going to do on my face!! HAHAHA

Thanks.

But let's not forget that I cheated ever so slightly... well I look at it that way anyhoo. ;)

The fact that you consider this cheating testifies to your integrity and the beauty of the NPR but you would only be cheating if you didn't learn anything from it. In other words, you could build another project using the same construction method showing who or what ever it is that you appreciate the lesson.

That's why I said if it was just SP, for someone like you who knows how that feels, you would be able to dismiss it without another thought. So to me, SP didn't sound satisfying by itself in your case. But in combination with a drug that could diminish your thinking slightly, it may have played a part.

Certainly you must know sign language already to be able to know the sign that you saw. Otherwise, most people couldn't remember the sign perfectly enough to look it up and verify later accurately. That could be a clue as to why you saw the apparition sign to you.

I know some phone plans allow people to go straight to voice mail instead of ringing the number. I believe in many paranormal phenomena but I do not see any significance in this fact alone other than the significance that you subjectively placed on it.

If this had been the first time you ever saw a ghost, I would definitely say it was nothing. But you have seen them in the past so that can't be discounted.

But other than your subconscious mind giving you something weird to see, I can't imagine anybody knowing why the little girl would sign to you the healing signs. If you're open to it, hopefully you can see her again.

I'm still leaning to a mix of SP and drug combination but as you said, you have seen ghosts before. This is a hard call.

I hope you find some answers.

Interesting story.

Since you just woke up, this sounds like SP but for someone who knows about SP, you could easily dismiss that if it were the case. SP doesn't explain everything just becomes an event coincides with waking.

You mentioned the medicine has hallucinations as a possible side effect but they probably just mention that to cover their rear. But it can't be discounted as a contributing factor.

You mentioned a missed phone call the day before but I can't imagine why you would relate that to any of this unless it's been on your mind for some strange reason.

Who knows but here's my guess: You missed a call that left no message and for some reason you paid it to much attention but it registered in your subconscious as weird. You had a terrible migraine and took some medicine that you knew may cause hallucinations. You were beginning to wake up naturally and your senses were dragging because of your meds and you heard and saw something at the right time to coincide with SP, which at least played it's part.

Sometimes our minds gives us what we ask for.

So just watching an interesting documentary that proves that exorcism is an illusion that's created by seizures of the right temporal lobe and psychosis generally caused by the relationship between child and mother at an early age.

The majority of those who believed they are possessed are Catholics. Its all in the mind.

The Catholic Church train priests and award a qualification in exorcism.
Unfortunately the process they use makes the the patients psychoses worse and react.

Not in all cases. The placebo effect does work on quite a few.

That sounds rough Cody. I am one of those people that you speak of that does not believe in evil itself. And the white light stuff only works if you believe it will work.

I have had plenty of dreams in which I have killed family members (brutally), zombies, witches, devils, all that crap. But the only ones that I consider nightmares are dreams with tornadoes and tight spaces. It's all perspective. A tornado can "get" me whether I believe in it or not and my claustrophobia stems from a childhood incident but the fear of it is only extreme in my dreams and not in waking life.

Everything you described can only harm you if you believe in it. Not because belief makes something real but because it leaves you open to fearing it. I know the imagery must be unpleasant but do you actually think your capable of hurting your family like you do in a dream? I doubt you would so don't think of it literally.

Fear is a disease and once it creeps in it will eat you up and spread to others. Some people let it control every aspect of their lives. I know you are nowhere near that point but once you start considering certain possibilities, it allows the fear to hang around a little longer and do more damage.

I have a feeling that if you would have completely dismissed that first nightmare that started this current trend six moths ago, you would not have made this post at all.

You're a very rational thinker so I'm sure you will be fine. However, the physical pain that you are truly feeling is unusual from my perspective and I don't know what to say about that.

I found this for your friend if he's interested:
http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2010-04/rumc-ctt040610.php

it's a few years old now but looked promising
"Overall survival was 58 percent at one year, and 52 percent at two years."

I dug around a little on the web but it seems trials for this may be finished and it's not yet being marketed as an "anti-cancer" drug.
It seems the results are quite promising.

But see what you or your friend can find. With enough digging, ringing the University, the National Cancer Institute etc you/your friend may find a way.

Alternatively other clinical trials look to be found here if you are in the USA:
http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/search/results?protocolsearchid=6533735&vers=2

just change the search criteria if he's not stage iv though it sounds he could be.

Good Luck.
Dean

Thank you for sacrificing some time on this. You really have nailed his outlook right now as he has been down in the dumps. I will look into this further. thanks again.

He did recently receive a bit of good news but it wasn't much. The point is though that it made him open to the idea of fighting back.

Welcome.

1. Not that I can speak of personally.
2. A bit of both
3. No, not under any circumstance
4. No, but if you remain open to that possibility, you may one day perceive it to happen.

Good questions. I kept the answers short and they are only what i personally believe. This is a journey that we all have to decide for ourselves but certain facts and truths remain so even if we don't believe in them. Think about that.

Good luck and keep exploring.

this reminds me this quote:  "we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. " - Bill Hicks

Why couldn't this be the dominating cultural philosophy and outlook on life? Surely if it were, a forum like the pulse would not be needed in it's current context. As much as I love this site, I would love a culture where it wasn't needed more.

Oh Dear.

It really does sound like the church and society have done a number on you as they did with me as well. I'm not passing judgement but more like sympathizing because I completely relate to the fear you are wrapped up in. Believe me, I was there and I understand how high of a hurdle it is to jump.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can say that will convince you that there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FEAR. You really do have to make a personal decision for yourself and decide that you're tired of fear holding you back.

I was even told by my Priest that demons would bother me if I continued to have OOBE. This freaked me out for a while but I went ahead with my journey anyway. In the years since, not once have I encountered anything that fits the description of this kind of "evil".

I say yes you should continue but ONLY if you are ready to leave fear behind you and develop a new more positive way of thinking. Think about what that would really mean for you.

One last thing about Erin P. Be aware that she is running a business and fear sells. In her store, you can by candles and incense that can ward off "evil" spirits and crap like that. I read some of her writings a few years ago and I realized then that she has probably never had an OOBE in her life. She really is spewing back everything she has read and putting her little spin on it to drive her business.

I don't know that we could do anything like that today even though, in the metaphor's terms.

We are not capable of calculating all possible models of plane, even with all the computers in the world in concert... there would be trillions of trillions (probably a much larger number even, depending on how you distinguish what amount of difference defines a different model), and that is assuming we even know the rules for what makes a plane possible or not, which we likely don't for the finest points of distinction.

It might take a computer the size of a solar system to carry out such a calculation...

I don't think recognizing the absurdity of that particular task makes the material a hoax automatically; I don't think the internet is a fair approximation of the task either... the internet is orders of magnitude simpler.

But yes... surely there must be something in the material that dates it and points out obvious forgery...

Hi Still. I see your point. If you look at a model and changed it by adding or taking away one bolt anywhere on it at random, this could technically be a new combination. But I don't think that would be an efficient way to handle all the data.

This new program consists in conducting a wide-ranging study of all existing technological methods of production.--This sentence tells me that the program could be attempted on a possible human scale. The combinations being generated would be ongoing as well as the project. This would exclude silly models or crazy ideas. And they could work with what they have at any given time.

I agree with you and I also think that this is not enough to call this a hoax(mostly because many a smarter professionals have read this and they did not take slight with this). But it sticks out like a neon light to me.

red light district? I never heard of this before, can you please tell me more about it?

Well Basically all you have to do is imagine it but I was joking when I called it a red light district. I have personally only seen two people on youtube that believe there is a place like such in the astral. But there idea is not about physical unions so much as it is about energies combining.

But the sex that you are talking about is apparently possible and I don't see why a place like this wouldn't exist. One thing is for sure, it isn't on a map.

Lion-Lose respect? You're kidding, right? If anything, this is an admirable trait in you. I personally don't care what his personal view is because I believe that most people will grow to see the spirituality in it regardless of who introduces it to them.

Raduga just has a cocky attitude and there is something about it that annoys me. But I recognize this to be a personal flaw in myself if I let that get to me. So consequently, I edited him out of my post yesterday. :-D
