In another thread you said that your dad (is that correct) should be getting a copy of Astral Dynamics for you. That demonstrates your family's trust in you and that they see your interest as something absolutely genuine for you.

To aspire to offer your self as a channel for healing is something to be very much admired. Looks like you will find your way regardless of family and peer pressure as we all do!

How fantastic for you. I wont admit to having conscious memory of being in similar areas that often, but had an experience of meeting my mum shortly after she passed in beautiful open parkland very like the place you describe a couple of times. Although they were short hops they were very peaceful and heavenly experiences.

I can only suspect that as per R Bruce's memory download issue concerning OBE experiences: that B&W dreams, clairvoyance (B&W/inverse images) are probably due to similar mind/energy/physical body interface reasons.

Sorry if my comment appears to indicate that RB's memory download/mind split effect is related to the above.

It is my speculation that B&W and inverse images rather than full on Technicolor (whether received clairvoyantly or in other altered states for instance within dreams) might be a result of something similar in terms of memory integration/filtering.

Although anyone who practices object orientated concentration exercises e.g. candle - might recreate similar effects, as the mind's eye often inverts colour for example. RB does discuss colour inversion in his Aura tutorial, but uses other examples. Is it not a well known mind/physiological effect anyhow?

I am not a psychologist, but would assume that cognitivists would appreciate this field of interest etc. Personally I have not seen this subject discussed elsewhere in any sort of depth, but then I am only relying on my own limited experience of these effects.

Does that make more sense?

Agree with what you say. Obviously I was only giving the platform example as an illustration from personal experience, and not every one should feel that they are to follow a trad route; be it platform, private sitting and healing etc. But then I am (as are you) not a toe the line SP traditional medium LOL!!!

What you say is key in today's age as mediumship should not be exclusive and controlled by the few - it is open to us all as part of the path (to be explored if wished so) home-wards.

These are important points as if one is to embark on the path of mediumship it is paramount to be able to distinguish between the rise of one's own thoughts and that provided or sent to you by other people e.g. spirit. There is also a subtle difference btw those received or exchanged psychically with people and those of people in spirit. The use of the words  

"the imagination and the power of a external thought coming into your mind has a definite speed..."

do well to portray how the discerning mind can be used to act as a clear channel for spirit!

These are qualities and aspiring medium should strive to reach and continuously aim to improve upon. It also indicates the importance of working on ones own development. Be it by oneself or in learning environment like a development circle for example. As one can make all the mistakes there before running around the planet spouting off what they believe to be accurate spirit communication etc. Far too many people are pushed on to the public stage, albeit be it with good intent before they are ready!

A couple of years ago I had opportunity to fledge at a student demonstration at a well known spiritualist centre in London, but bottled out at the last moment. Although I could establish good contact with spirit and was able to obtain extremely accurate information from them - somehow I knew I was not ready. Although (and I don't mean to sound ambiguous here) I had made and attempt at open platform at the very same venue several months beforehand. In itself that had been an incredible learning experience, as I had followed a lady (apparently a working medium) who had not been very successful during her demonstration and had found that the energy in the room had fallen as flat as a pancake. Following that you might imagine it was like drawing pins out of the proverbial haystack. I learnt that regardless of how well I thought of myself (egotistically) that it takes more than just ability to be able to successfully demonstrate ones prowess as a medium. Later in the session I was asked on to the stage again to work with the very same lady and with a psychic artist. I thought 'oh gawd' what have I let myself in for. We were asked by the president of the centre to work together and make 3 way links with spirit. Thankfully we got a couple of contacts through for some of the people in the audience, but it was still hard work all the same.

Just after the session ended and everyone had left the room the president asked me to stay behind and again invited me onto the platform. She invited me to sense and feel the differences in energy in the room and to make note of how it is important factor in working on the platform. What I had learnt was that as much as we are individuals that it is the group that makes the link, be it working with other mediums, spirit and the loving connection they have with the people in the audience. It is a collaborative effort, a shared experienced to be valued, enjoyed and respected. I feel that this little lesson also helps to illustrate the responsibility a medium has to themselves, to people in spirit and to their loved ones and friends here in this world.

Therefore all the gift and talent in the world pales into insignificance without the link of love.

Sorry if this sounds all wishy washy sentiment, but I feel you raised important points worth examining.

Good question!

I have had occasion to experience dreams in black & white or better to recall them as B&W experiences. As well as colour I also get clairvoyance in B&W, but also received clairvoyance as negative images in the past. Although this seems to have self corrected over time!

I can only suspect that as per R Bruce's memory download issue concerning OBE experiences: that B&W dreams, clairvoyance (B&W/inverse images) are probably due to similar mind/energy/physical body interface reasons.

It would be very interesting to see if anyone else explored this in any depth?

As far as I can see NEW seems to be a very effective energy system, even only if one has been practicing for a short time. With the same token use common sense and regard your use of NEW use as an experiment with self healing, and not as a replacement for dental anesthetic or analgesic pain killers etc. All well and good if you are Master Chi Gung whatshisface  

I have also considered having filling replacements, and held off for the mean time. Make sure you thoroughly consider both sides of the mercury amalgam replacement debate before deciding to go through with getting composites. There is plenty of info and dis-info on the net on this subject so I will leave you to google away at your pleasure.

Big subject holistic dentistry. My knowledge is limited, but find it fascinating all the same.

You might find this interesting. A couple of months ago I had some minor dental treatment. Luckily it was only a replacement filling! All the same I still required a local anesthetic as the old filling needed to be removed etc.

Following the appt I decided to see if I could reduce the post treatment discomfort and speed recovery by trying a little directed energy work using NEW. I found that there was absolutely no follow on pain or discomfort after it wore off - considering it was an upper palate one and very uncomfortable when given by the dentist!

Hi,

A number of teaching mediums do the circuit in Europe including Germany. Although it is easy to get cheap flight etc to the UK if you have time avaible to attend workshops here instead. e.g. via easyjet or ryanair and others.

A friend recently took a course with and recommends a chap called Steve Upton. I noticed he appears in Holland and Germany.

P.S. I suspect the attention you have been getting from the spirit people is simply to get you to think about progressing your development.

Hint: try not to be open to spirit all the time. I assume you have an element of control with this - if not, a good teaching medium will show you how to establish balance etc.

Welcome to the forum. There are secondary energy ports or chakras in the hands. Some might describe that you were able to direct human body energy  (chi or prana) to the injured parts via these ports.

Interesting what you say about language and spirit communication.

I have had occasion chance to practice one to one with Italian and German speaking sitters. What I have noticed is that somehow the information provided by a communicators (spirit) is translated to English by the time it filters through to my conscious mind.

I assume that this is due to the fact that language is a physical construct to enable persons in body to communicate with each other in this level of existence etc. Mind to mind communication might be considered more real when ones flips ones thinking round to view the other side to the coin!

With the same token personal and place names for example are presented in their original language which is sensible. Although I have a smattering of German anyhow. On a few occasions I was able simply to say what I had perceived which thankfully made sense to the sitters.

As communication is presented on a variety of levels verbal language is not always required. So feelings and imagery will tend to fill the gaps and enable one to relate what the communicator wishes to get across regardless.

Your own true guide (a poor label) will prove themselves to you as they have been waiting for this very moment to be asked. The ability to be able to connect with them is already yours and has always been available to you.

Simply sit in the quiet and send a thought that it is your sincere and heart felt wish to connect with them. As one of my teachers put 'do not expect your guide to slap you with a big wet fish'! Therefore the way in which they present to you may well be very subtle at first, but will develop character and depth over time.

A true guide will bring only love, absolute truth, and will not represent themselves as someone they are not - therefore there will be no deceit! Do not be ashamed to test them continuously. For example: if some says in your mind's eye 'trust me' do not offer trust without verification 1st.

The tests are simply to apply the qualities already stated above. If you feel uncomfortable with this then sit for self healing until you feel all bonds detrimental to your spiritual growth have been released. If you feel unable to establish a healing link then ask and it will be given for you.

Establishing trust in ones guides takes time, but they are eternally patient as is your own spirit!

Dear Aryanknight666,

Surely the only way for you to establish an answer to your question regarding guides etc. would be for you yourself to receive confirmation from them directly and indirectly via 3rd parties. This is something I have been able to verify in my own case. Sharing examples of my own experience might not be adequate demonstrable proof for you as is reasonable.

Hypothetically: Lets say you have a guide or chosen inspirer – then they would be obliged if asked by you to prove themselves in order for you to establish a clear cut answer or not etc.

For instance sometime between 10:30pm and 11:10pm this evening (GMT and regardless that in the non-physical the time equation is negated) I became aware of an individual clairvoyantly: a bald slim man with angular features and a cheeky smile or at least an image of such.

Perhaps this is one of your inspirer's seeking to provide you with a double take. But then I could be making all of this up!

I think Frank and a few other describe this as 3d blackness. I get it occasionally as well. For me it sometime occurs when shifting from one astral environment to another (in my limited explorations that is). So I am not really qualified to give a comprehensive perspective on this one to be honest. Perhaps try employing intent to move your perceptive awareness elsewhere and see what happens.

Although you might find a better answer within threads on phasing. Sorry if my reply is a bit empty if you forgive the pun.

Try this one.

AS an experiment allow yourself to enter the trance state with eyes (physical eyes open) in the 1st place. When your astral sight kicks in consciously defocus your physical eyes and allow the 3rd eye impressions to dominate for as long as you feel comfortable. Then close your eyes if you wish and maintain the defocus whilst remaining aware of the 3rd perspective etc.
