hotmail is one of the poorest free email services I know.

I stopped using hotmail when some friends of mine showed me
what a random event it was that _any_ mail arrived at
hotmail at all.

There are plenty of other much better free mail services,
yahoo is one of the most reliable.

I'm kind of newbie to OBE, so reading books and taking a look
at the Books Review forum has helped me with a lot of
questions.

Doing a search among old posts also help, and you have to
accept that it takes time to find things. Many of the great
answers are from old members no longer active.

There are various things you can do.

1. In advance come up with some valid questions you want answer to.

2. Ask who has created the house, the surroundings, the setting, the world
you are in. Direct your question to the "creator" and ask why you're there
or what purpose the experience has to you or what you're supposed to do.

3. Be an experimenter. In advance figure out various things to do.

4. Try to go to places where other people are, who you know.

5. Request to go as far as possible or meet someone who has
something important to say to you.

6. Request or ask into the "air" how to improve your abilities or
how to create new ones. Ask what lies beyond the house.

7. Request clarity, awareness. Can you help anyone, give healing?

8. Request that all things only created by your mind to go away.
What is left?

9. Request to go meet other parts of yourself.

You may not get answer to anything, but you may get some new
knowings over time.

Round 6 – Freeloaders

You may have read or even encountered entities which attach themselves to the human body. These entities known as hitchers or freeloaders are common enough and go unnoticed for the most part. I have quite a few encounters with them. They are usually quite slumber and slow creatures and quite stubborn to remove. However, I have found that throwing them over your shoulders works well like the moves used in judo.

If anyone has experienced anything similar would be good to know.

I have only encountered one such back-guy attaching to my back in
a semi-lucid dream after having had an extremely short OBE (from SP),
I went into LD and later this semi-lucid dream. I have no idea what this
guy was.

Robert Monroe has written about some entities attaching to him and years
later he found out that these entites were in fact only the spirits of kittens,
who apparently was OBE, but dreaming.

brucedarwill,

I also agree with, what we meet which we think is evil or bad, may often
be our own creations. Robert Waggoner has written about his encounters
with bad entites, and when he sent Love to them, they changed. I also
have my own experiences, and sending Pure Unconditional Love (PUL)
or sending Acceptance have helped me. Some entities may also be lost
Aspects of Self, if you are prepared to consider the Aspect concept.

I think also you should read the section about retrievals at the later half
of the posts in link above. In my opinion, ghosts are often poor dead
people stuck in wrong places in the astral, sometimes between the
non-physical and the physcial.

You can help them.

Could be what Monroe called the H band, the astral garble of
all humans thoughts on Earth. It's said to be located somewhere
between F 3 and F 10.

Sometimes the H band is called the M-band, H = human, M = Mind.
Monroe's (M) Field is something else.

Monroe usually ignored the H band and just moved on to other Focuses.

@Pauli

Interesting read with your 'ice slug' moving so slowly. Do you still have your
cold-slug/oil experiences today, or just the occasional cold spots?

Very seldom I have the ice slug feeling today, and if I get it, it seldom last
more than half an hour, and never have the distinctness it had in the beginning.
The cold spots (physically experienced) are more common, sometimes they turn
into warm areas.

I think todd's post may be closer to what you may have experienced
than my ice slugs, which probably are something different from your
original experience.

"Then, the next minute, I felt a heavy feeling moving up from my feet towards my chest."

Is this enough information that I got sleep paralysis, and even if I didn't, it doesn't matter, I still somehow separated.

No, a "heavy feeling" moving around is not a paralysis.

You could for example ask someone sitting in a wheel chair, having
a more permanent paralysis, if they have a "heavy feeling" moving
up in their paralysed legs.
#134
You make the assumption that we belong to a certain planet, but
Buhlman says that we aren't even humans from the first place,
which raises the need to view matters in a different light.
#135
I have only walked through doors in LDs and those doors have
always been open from the start.

Jürgen Ziewe has written that when he tries to pass through windows,
the glass bubbles outward, until it breaks with a popping sound. :)

Thanks todd!

I've been looking W Vieira up a little more. Seems many people like his book
(at amazon) Projections of the Consciousness, 3rd Ed. Vieira seems to be an OBE-only guy,
I haven't found much stuff about other non-physical experiences.

And also, some of the reviewers make the same observation as todd; Vieira
has constructed a lot of words of his own, possible to avoid pollution from
other sources. But it also slows down the reading.

My Portuguese is very poor but it seems that Vieira at of 2011 finished his
big work Enciclopédia da Conscienciologia (Encyclopedia of Consciousness/Conscientiology (?)),
and for those skilled in non-English, there is a youtube of his more than
9000 pages big Encyclopedia. (His beard is really cool.)

Seems like some reading.

Vieira is an MD, so my guess is that his Encyclopedia parts on human biology is more
well worked than his theories about Physics (?).

This tells me that it's a very good chance, even without the actual report of inability to move, that you were indeed in Sleep Paralysis.

Ahh...

A new definition of Paralysis.

"You can move."
#138
Ask what your goal is.

Ask also why there are such movements.

I have, so far for me, not read ANY account on exit sensations here or elsewhere that has stated anything similar to this, which makes my inquiry even more urgent now as it was then:

As said, those 'energy sensations' were nothing like vibrations. Those were BALL-LIKE WAVES along the SPINE. Heavy, violent and almost disruptive as it seemed.

I'm making guesses now.

I think it's possible that you've had an OBE or something similar, at the same
time you've had a kundalini experience or perhaps pre-kundalin, as there is
something which is similar to kundalini but not at intense.

I've read that there are at least 5 different types of kundalini raise effects.
One feels "like an ant crawling", another feels "like a monkey jumping", and
there is of course the snake-like experience.

I've had something similar, but milder, and so far I've not been able to consciously
make any OBE, only from SP and very short (about 2 seconds). So the kundalini
experience may not be completely related to OBE even if there probably is some
kind of connection.

Similar for me, I didn't know much of kundalini, but the months before my experience,
which can be read here, I read a lot about the kundalini phenomena by some odd
coincidence.

Also when my kundalini experience started at work, I didn't became afraid, strangely
enough. I should have I guessed, but I was rather calm, perhaps mildly excited.

As you can see in the link above, my kundalini experience was ice cold and went
from base of spine to top of head, with a small breakage between the upper part
of my neck and my forehead.

To this date I can still get cold areas in my upper body, mostly in the left side of my
head or neck.

I don't know if there are any special effects to date, more than opening me up to more
possibilities related to non-physical whereabouts.

I have tons of vibrations when I do meditation session, but still no OBE, and my "kundalini oil"
experience was completely without vibrations, it was just smooth, slow and silent.

Brazilian Waldo Vieira had his first OBE at age 9.

He has a very dogmatic approach to the astral and his strict interpretation
has caused him some criticism. Nevertheless he is a sharp competitor to
Thomas Campbell, at least when it comes to the length of his beard.

Waldo Vieira (English translated wiki here) was born in 1932 and he has
written several books over the years related to his experiences. Vieira is
big in the Brazilian and Portuguese regions.

Vieira is a scientist and has performed numerous experiments. His followers
mentions Vieira alongside Robert Monroe.

In 1988 Vieira co-founded and was the first chairman of the
International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology (IIPC).

Some of the titles (google English translations) Vieira has (co-)authored are:

Spiritist Conduct (1960)
Blessed Are the Simple (1962)
Heart To Heart (1962)
Sun in Souls (1964)
Techniques for Living (1967)
Projectiology: Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body (1986)
Handbook of Evolutionary Double (1997)
Manual of Megapensenes Trivocabulares (2009)

I haven't read any of his books (I have far to many others to read), but anyone,
and specially anyone who has read Vieira's books in his original language,
please give us a review.

Besides his books, Vieira has written hundreds of articles on projections of
the consciousness.

Certainly I have not come across any other projectors who have been unable to see their own physical bodies.

I think there are. I can't remember exactly, but I think some authors have
been unable to see their phys. body, some have seen their phys. body,
but been unable to see their phys. head, as it has been enveloped in
a hazzy smoke.

Then, non-phys. sight may change over time. Remember that after some
years, Monroe noticed that he had two non-phys. bodies, and when he
was in his third non-phys. body, the second non-phys. looked more real
than his phys. body. The second non-physical body stayed in close
proximity to his phys body, when Monroe was out in the astral in
his third body.

Do you (or anyone else) know anything about "Elementary Occult Study",
by Oliver Fox (Hugh George Callaway).

It's also strange that Fox, as well as Muldoon, suffered from longterm
illnesses. Anyone who can fill in any details more than this article by
Susan Blackmoore?

9 years just seems a  long time to be still having these effects - I must be carrying around an enormous amount of emotional baggage :)

It could be others, "past lives", too.

Moen had to go almost one whole lifetime with an increasing unusual liver illness
until he did a retrieval of one of his past lives who passed away more than 2000
years ago, about the time of the Roman Empire.

I too wonder if I've had these experiences in some sort or another for more than 20 years,
but not as actual physical head-movements. So things may last... :)

Thomas Campbell's information was not all that original. His information is similar to all of the Seth material channeled by Jane Roberts from the 60's and 70's. I much prefer reading the Seth material, since it has more practical things you can do.

Which parts are copied from the Seth material?
Please, give us some more clues.

When I compare TC to other sources from TMI, it seems to me that Campbell in his
youtube videos almost solely is repeating TMI training stuff, specially content from
TMI's own articles, but also training concepts repeated by others, like DeMarco,
Buhlman and more, in their books.

And yes, I've read his MBT (and been disappointed by it), so if that book is a copycat
product could you tell me what parts, because the later halves of MBT are quite
fuzzy and poor on content. I can't really see that MBT would fit the Seth material.

If you would just state some comparison points, that would help.

Xanth, lots of text, but you seem evasive about answering.
Let's go back and see what you stated.

Monroe's ... he never really understood even the basics behind what he was experiencing.

Not even "the basics"??!

Never?!

Apparently you must know what "the basics" are. Could you tell
us a little more about that?

For example who's "basics" you are talking about? Are they your own?

Could you please elaborate it more. I have read a little bit about
belief system territories on this website but I'm still not sure what
they are.

In Monroe speak it's something like this:

BST = Belief System Territory, Focus 24, Focus 25 and Focus 26

To be counted as a BST it usually has to be shared by several
discarnate people with about the same idea of the belief.

The theory is that when people die, they go to their favorite BST
Focus. The main belief systems like Christianity and Islam is located
in F 25. Some Buddhists and some people who have gotten it almost
right by own experiences may end up in F 26.

Very old or simple beliefs, sometimes not even beliefs, may end up
in F 24, for example the homeless alcoholics. Also note that some
beliefs may span more than one Focus, for example some people
say that alcoholics often end up in Focus 25.

Hells and "Hollow Heavens" both often seem to be located in F 25.

The permanent Moen thread is by some reason gone, but there
was some more explanations. Further, DeMarco has stated that
some belief systems may end up as low as F 23, for example
people who love to go to shopping malls, they end up in towns
with huge malls.

Otherwise F 23 is mostly a single person discarnate Focus Level.

It can also be noted that some guides have said that the Focus Level
concept is not completely true, but it is a fair model.

Moen also has stated that the Focuses 24 - 26 may be related to
PUL as well (see thread about Pure Unconditional Love), where
the lowest amount of PUL may be at F 24 and increase up to
F 26, until people one day get retrieved and escape to Monroe
Focus 27.

I have something similar. I have some kind of head movements,
which come and go from time to time, most often _without_ Hemi-Sync.
I don't know what it is, but it seems to be more probable to start
if I intend to do a session, but it also can come when I try to go
asleep.

Some times I've actually wondered if it's some sort of illness, but
I really doesn't have a clue. Once I tried to ask out into the air
"what are these physical movements, why are they present". I
got the mental impression that the physical movements were merely
the result of sorting out "old crap", whatever that could be, astral
or otherwise.

My best guess, if it isn't a physical illness, is that these movements
are related to pre-kundalini effects.

What actually has bothered me more is that at times I've got pain,
mostly severe headache during a session, and I don't know what
that is either.

One recommendation I've read is that if it is pre-kundalini related,
one should not fight it, but instead one should let it happen and
perhaps pay attention to any impressions if anything at all can
be experienced.

Other recommendations are that if it gets too intense, stop doing
any astral related activity for a while.

Quite often I can also feel coldness in some part of my body, most
often somewhere in my head/neck or upper back. I also think
that is kundalini related. I actually don't know what kundalini is
either, so it may be just a metaphor to collect several physical
experiences into one word. It's quite common for me to also
feel "ticklings" in my head or neck, so I just think that is related
to non-physical energies. But what they do, I have no clue.

Also one channeled medium on youtube said that the first three
years or so, are the worst or are the ones with most effects. If
that's right, I have no clue either, as I haven't passed that three
year limit yet.

Further one may note that also Monroe got physical experiences,
for example a severe stomach ache (see Monroe's first book).
Sylvan Muldoon was ill most of his younger adult years, too.

If you have any belief in guides, you could try to ask them for
any explanations, and then pay attention to any emotions, images,
"knowings" or other things you may receive.

My impression is also that with Hemi-Sync, the biggest effect
seems to come for people the first times they listen to it, and
then the effects usually diminish.

Y'know... the more I hear and read about Monroe's experiences, the more I'm
forced to come to the conclusion that while he had some great experiences
(and that's great in itself), he never really understood even the basics behind
what he was experiencing. And that sucks, because people reading his books
as their first source for this information are going to become vastly confused.
Such a shame.

This time you're throwing out a claim in little more than your regular
unspecific fashion, so I actually have to ask you:

What exactly are you meaning?
#149
Monroe says that guides sometimes are part of our I-There and that
they don't help us the first or even the third time, but perhaps not
until the tenth time when we really end up in serious problems. The
important thing is that we have to learn how to help ourselves, if
we can. Secondary or guides' help aren't really helping us or
enabling us to develop.

One other task guides do, is to point us in various directions, so we
can see that there are other possibilities open for us, and that's a
kind of help too. Guides show us the possibilities open for us, but
we have to make the choices, otherwise the help is of no good.
#150
I post it here as I think that's more appropriate than starting a new thread.

I couldn't find the original Robert Bruce article mentioned, but instead found
an article called Heart Center Healing.

Part of the technique resembles NEW, but there also are difference,
for example how to direct the healing. What's interesting is that RB
says that the heart center begins to strobe after about one years
practice.

I must say the article is one of the best I've read on healing, and it
surprises me that I haven't looked it up before.
