kick them and take your energy back. if you can feel them pulling it off you, reverse the flow and suck theirs in.

ya know, i'm still a little surprised that this topic is still in this forum ^_^

i've only barely glanced over it but i'm not seeing anything to do with psychic self defense. i'm not complaining or anything since accidents happen and people who make the threads can't move them theirselves, i'm just surprised no mod has moved it yet ^_^

no real reason for posting this message beyond wondering :)

copied each other? tell me then, if you and three other people witnessed a car accident, wouldn't you all say basically the same thing (just in your own words)? same thing with the bible, if those people really were with jesus then it only stands to reason that they'd each say at least some things that the others said ^_^

ok well we definately disagree on things and don't see certain things from anywhere close to the same perspective, which isn't a bad thing [;)]. (for instance i see God as being a being, not just the universe, but a personality with a normally-localized presence)

but, i now understand better how you are thinking of all this, so i'll shut up now [|)].

thank you for taking the time to discuss this [:)]. (but i'll still read his responses :))

well i disagree with that blackstream. from my understanding and experience, if you seek God He will reveal Himself to you. it may (almost certainly) be confusing, but it will happen [:)].

but perhaps i'm wrong when it comes to other people ^_^

also, i've found that angel of the lord killing 185000 people (a tremendous event like the mass slaughter of an army and it only gets a single verse, lol):
2 kings 19:35
35 And that night the angel of the LORD went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

i understand how that would be so for a normal spirit, but an angel of God (especially Michael) should easily be able to even take human form and talk to a person, and should also easily be able to take the "cost" of mediating/channeling upon themself without the mediator/channelor having to even touch upon their reserves of energy (another question you can ask him about syko [:)]).

i recently heard that somewhere in the bible it talks about a single angel of God destroying 185 THOUSAND (185, 000) soldiers in a single night and i'm still trying to validate this but if it is true then surely a being that powerful would have no problem at all communicating with a human without letting the human get burned out (and note that from examples given in the bible, angels are in control of their own power, so it's not like a 1000 W bulb going through a 60 W outlet because the angel can just simply sublimate his own power [:)]). of course even if that specific story is false, there are others in the bible which show angels to be beings of immense power but also who are in control of their power.

bottom line of christianity is that a christian should seek God (through the christ). anything that gets in the way of that is pretty much idolatry, HOWEVER that's not to say that you can't do stuff as well as seeking God.

to say that you can't seek God and learn psychic things is to use the same logic as saying that you can't seek God and still learn how to bake. and it's clearly shown in the bible that people are allowed to do things in their lives that have nothing to do with seeking God, but it is encouraged that (and said that christians should ultimately) we should eventually learn to seek God and His Ways in all that we do, and to be happy with the good gifts that God has given us [:)] (food, money, help, support, etc that He has given to us. not to be confused with the things that we seek out and gain for ourselves, although we can still be happy with those things as long as they don't get in our way of seeking God).

what is His Will? well, you'd have to ask Him for the full extent of it, but the basics are as James and others have said: Love [:)].

reply has been edited... edited again ^_^;

well, for instance he refers to the bible as though it were a holy book and the way in which he talks about it almost seems to say he thinks that it is The holy book of the hebrews, whereas he probably should have referred to The Scriptures as even the apostles did. such thinking seems to make him seem post-christianic where as the archangel michael is definately pre-christainic in origins and would likely only see christianity as a new step for God's plan (which it is).

as well as that, the bible (the "old testament" combined with the "new testament") was originally meant as a collection of apostolic writings which all christians could read, and it was only after the church was formed and after a few corrupt ideals and actions spread that the bible came to be reseved for the priests of the christian church only (which has also since changed, thankfully). the Scriptures (aka "the old testament") of the israelites were also meant for all people to be able to read from (though it was common practice for high priests and ordained teachers to teach from them, anyone could go up and read from them if they so desired).

next: the bible barely mentions anyone being kicked out of heaven, and if i recall correctly it only mentions in passing that one being was kicked out of heaven. however, the book of enoch presents the full tale of the event that occured which saw angels cast out of heaven, and that book mentions that several legions of angels were cast down to earth (EDIT: still not done researching it, but i've gotten a number at least ^_^ i was wrong about the "legions", it is two hundred, including 19 "chiefs of tens" Book of Enoch, chapter 6 beginning in verse 6 through to the end of the chapter. and it explains further in chapter 10 that those who have defiled themselves with women were bound in the valleys of the earth, starting in verse 10). and while that's a case of "he-said, she-said" where neither can be proven by merely their own sources, it does show that there is at least a slight dispute between sources of information (which immediatly calls into question both, so of course it is always possible that the book of enoch is wrong).

next: when he says he serves for the higher good, it comes to mind that an angel of God would rather say that he serves I Am (or use some other name for the God which is mentioned in the scriptures). his explainations seem to be rather contrary to how the scriptures describe God (as a being, as opposed to a general force which merely pervades)

there are a few other things as well, but as i'm kinda busy tonight (and i've not fully flesched out the questions in my own mind) i'll have to post them later ^_^.

well, one other thing: if he truly is an Angel, why would it tire you out to mediate him?

~kakkarot

i've found that there seems to be three different translations of the book of enoch, so i'll provide a link to three sites (one for each, including the one posted in the first edit) so that people can go over the differences themselves. plus one has notes in with the text ^_^ (i should also note, that it seems the second link below has different chapter/verse placements than the other two. for instance the names of the chiefs of ten are in chapter 7 verse 9 in the last link as opposed to the 6:7-8 in the first and second link. also, note the names are different depending on the version you are reading. that is explained partly in the notes in the third link)

http://www.ancienttexts.org/library/enoch/1watchers/watchers.htm
http://www.firefromheaven.net/2000/enoch.html
as well, i'll post a couple of links below which are supplemental materials
http://echoes.devin.com/watchers/ <-- has many notes about the book which may help with studying it
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01602a.htm <-- an excerpt from an online site which claims it is the catholic encyclopedia (i can't verify whether it is authentic/official though) which gives some explaination about the book of enoch

about time "distortion" with dreamwalking, i don't know. i understand what you are saying, and it is my belief that it is possible, but i don't know.

as for what to do, if you can get a psychic to help you shield yourself (rather than just telling you you're open) that would likely be the best option, but make sure to research the bejebus out of anyone you might ask to do this for you. i've heard a number of stories here and in other places where supposed "healers" have merely put their own back door in place so they can get to you when ever they want. so find someone who is trustable (and you'll probably also want to get to know them personally  before asking them to help).

or do it yourself if you can. also try cleansings. robert has some stuff in either the articles or training section of the website. sorry that i can't direct link you, but i don't know which document it is ^_^'

hope you get rid of him [:)].

thanks for sharing nay and exothen (sorry about being so late exothen [:I]). lol, poor nay :P

how sure are you, SpectralDragon, that you are actually mediating the Angel of God named Michael? the being you are mediating doesn't seem to really understand certain things very well, and seems to offer explainations which seem rather off.

i do not wish to seem like i'm just starting an argument, or am just trying to bash you or what you are doing, but it seems to me that whatever being you are in communication with likely isn't the Angel of God, Michael.

picklehead: it seems that you are asking how you can control your energy, and for that i recommend robert's New Energy Ways. you can already feel it, which should be a big help, but when you learn how to manipulate it you'll start learning how to control it so that you can stop it from doing things on it's own.

in time, you might also be able to search deeper within yourself (if need be) and find out what it is about you that is causing it [:)].

good luck and sorry that i didn't reply earlier.

Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / prayers etc
March 14, 2004, 21:50:02
um, don't baptise your baby. there's no point to it since, in christianity, baptism is an individual's action to express his decision to live his life for God. and babies can't make that decision [:)]

as for prayer, prayer is supposed to be talking to God, but unfortunately most people just use it to speak at God (they might as well be talking to a wall for all they care :/ ). although, that's not to say that God doesn't listen or doesn't hear, but if someone were just talking kindof at you (not really directly to you, but at you. since, you're in the room "anyway" and they want to say it cause they know you can hear them) how would you feel?

(sorry, that's just my rant against so-called christians [:I])

so, you don't see him when you are in full astral projection? if you only see him during the period of half-sleep where you are partially in the realm of dreams, or while you are fully in your dreams, he might be dreamwalking (comparitively uncommon ability with regards to most abilities, and some people even believe it's outright impossible while others say it's just another form of astral projection).

i say, if you can get your hands on him, fsck him up good. try some banishing techniques, try to shield your house, tell your husband (unless he's completely against the idea of metaphysics), and if you believe in God call to Him for help.

the candle thing i can't explain except with a quick and simple answer of "gheisting" where you possibly accidentally used telekinesis to move the candle. of course, the simple explainations aren't always right, and there are certainly other things it could have been (one of your pets perhaps?) but that's not really the main issue.

beyond that, i'm not sure what else i could tell you. if you can "perform" astral combat, beat the crap out of him and throw him out of your house. also, can your friend help you at all with this?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / hi guys
March 14, 2004, 21:14:54
well, i can try to answer question #1: from all that i've read and from my own limited experience, when you astral project your consciousness is supposed to leave with your double. so if you are conscious of the time when you are meditating while your double is out, i don't believe that is called astral projection.

~kakkarot

except the bible says ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THAT.

each of the four times that the bible uses the term 'antichrist' it speaks of it as multiple antichrists, not one and certainly not one who will rule the world. anyone who denies the christ as having come in the flesh is an antichrist, BY DEFINITION. so there is not just one, and the bible absolutely DOES NOT support the idea that there is.

next, the book of revelation is steeped so much in strangeness and symbolism (or even if you read it as purely factual) it's says nothing about the time that the events take place, and many historians believe that the destruction it talks about already came to pass in an earlier kingdom (sometime within 500 years after jesus died i believe). next to that, if you've actually read and /studied/ the book of revelations, you'll realize that a lot of people have heeped a lot of stuff onto it that really isn't there.

quote:
Where did all this guff originate? It certainly didnt come from any biblical source or from 'Mayan prophesy' like some people like to believe (unless it comes from dodgy 'factual' web sites).
you are correct, it comes from neither the bible nor the mayan calendar nor any other religion or prophetic message. it comes from a whole lot of misinterpretations and half-understandings by people who've "heard from a friend" or "read on this site" without actually researching into it.

and now i'm done, so whoever wants to bash me can go right ahead.

sorry for detracting from your original question (about the astral, thoughts, and the self-fulfilling prophecy) logic.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / your own aura?
March 12, 2004, 16:54:38
i don't think it was your aura. at least, i've never heard of someone's aura actually providing light that only they could see by.

i think it's closer to findtruth's idea, it was likely some form of clairvoyance (though whether it actually had anything to do with the third eye chakra is debatable [|)])

don't know about australia specifically, but i've also read some newspaper clippings where american police have used help from psychics (though it rarely says that the police contacted the psychic).

i've also met a person who claims to be psychic and who said she's helped police on a number of cases. she also said that she's been officially tested and found to be about 98% accurate (but what constitues "accurate" can be very vague in some tests)

it just seems that police like to keep such things as quiet as possible so that the public and the media don't start thinking that the police are useless and clueless as to how to protect the people.

i've got another one for him: do i have any angels watching over me? do i have any beings at all watching over me? (if he doesn't know immediatly, and i'm thinking he won't [|)], please ask him to come on over and watch me for a bit and get his reply later.)

thank you [:)].
