QuoteCompetition without regulation = exploitation

btw, I use caps not as yelling, but as particular points of interest that are integral to the discussion.  So sorry if it looks like I am yelling, i am not.

How can you be exploited in a free market?  ONLY government points guns at you in order to make you do something against your will.

In a free market companies can only EARN wealth by providing a valuable product or service.  You see, the market is made up of VOLUNTARY transactions.  The customer sees the product as more valuable than the money he/she has in her pocket.  The business, on the other hand, sees the money as more valuable.  Thus, a mutually beneficial exchange is taking place.  Where is the explotation?

Ohh, you may mean the workers right?  First of all the company owns that job NOT the employee, so they can offer any thing they want for that job in terms of compensation.  The worker can CHOOSE to accept that proposal or not.  If the company decides to pay the employee less than he/she is worth, you can BET the competition is going to offer more.  I get calls all the time AT WORK from head hunters offering me opportunities for other jobs.  In a highly competitive market place unemployment is virtually Nil and competition among companies raises the employee wages.

On the flip side, lets take a look at Germany.  I was just riding to work today and listening to BBC radio about Germany's unemployment Woes  .  12% unemployment and rising, business moving offshore, and hiring is at 0%. Why is this you ask?  Well, a little while back Germany enacted legislation that said "Employers CAN NOT fire employees".  HOW AWESOME, Right?  WRONG!!  Now employee productivity is in the toilet and companies WILL NOT hire at any cost.  They don't have any competition because of government subsidies to large companies and regulations against new companies even competing with these companies.  So, there is no one else to create jobs.

This is just the mantra of know nothing socialist who haven't read a chapter in economics.

QuoteIs it so hard to understand this

I find it difficult to wrap my head around unlogical arguements

Nothing personal,

QuoteIf you don't believe in the effects of crystals Hans, then why bother commenting

My beliefs are just as valid as yours.  You didn't tell him you were a crystal healer. So, now he gets both sides of the issue.  Crystalline structures, such as crystals, do have special properties with energy.  Thus, this is why we use silicone in computers.  Hell, even Atlantis had the "Great Crystal" which powered everything and was used in their "death ray".

QuotePeople have been effectively studying and using varieties of quartz crystals in healing practices for many thousands of years. It is not a technique that is in any way new to us, but it is one that has largely been ignored by modern science and medicine, though many naturopaths, many of which are fully trained and qualified general medical practitioners, have found uses for crystals in wholistic medicine

They also ate goat gonads and tiger penises too, but that doesn't mean it works!

QuoteCrystals to aid in astral projection are more a case of personal preference, though many varieties of quartz in the purple / violet colour range are supposed to be very helpful here.

Lets see if even the New Age community can agree on this: (these are "ap"stones, or listed as such)

http://thunderwolfsrealm.com/BOS/crystals1.html
1.Apophyllite, color=clearish green
2.Hermatite, color=black/maroon
3.lolite, color=purple

http://www.aznewage.com/crystals.htm
1.azurite, color= blue with green swirls (vice versa)
2.Hermaitie, color=black
3.Silver, color=silver (aligns astral +physical bodies.....WHAT?!!)

http://www.crystalbalance.com/InfoAZ.asp
1.Agate Natural, color=Orange/Green
2.Angelite, color=Powder blue
3.Bismuth, color=blueish, greenish (the color when oil is mixed with water)
4.Calcite Mangano, color=milky, to milky pink

Wow! A virtual kaleidoscope of colors and rocks will help you with astral travel.  However, this is only half of the story.  Whenever a rock was listen on multiple sites, guess what, the different sites had TOTALLY different description of what it does!  One has to conclude that this has to do with the placebo effect if not New Age mumbo Jumbo/fraud.(keep'em buying/chasing for that magical stone which will rocket them in to the "Astral").

Oh, and almost EVERY stone (or at least half) seem to help with protection, must be a lot of scared New Agers running around.

just my opinion, could be wrong,
Han

Dude, those look like woodshop glasses with and opaque lens!

The only way those things would make you see stuff is if you just ate a bunch of shrooms!

But I digress, I have never personally tried them.  Although, they look like a poor man's mind machine.

Oh course they exist in Focus 2.  Anything you can imagine is there.  Like a member on this forum Telos once said "Stawberryshortcake and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can be found in Focus 2"

Voice of Silence, I noticed you have posted a bazillion post today (thank you for contributing) and I think almost all your answers can be found by reading up on the different focus levels in Franks Map to the wider reality (phasing model).  Read everything in the Permanent Astral Topic and Astral Faq's sections.  That should help.

Guys, IMO this sounds like focus 2 stuff.  No offense, It is AWESOME that you can project, but focus 3 is where you are talking to real "people" and not your own subconscious mind.

For instance, Projector you said that you talked to Jesus.  I bet you are a believer in Jesus as the Christ.  See in Focus 2 those beliefs manifest becuase you are projecting into your subconscious mind.  I would read some on Focus 2 and Focus 3 so you know you are not just running in circles verifying your own belief structures.

I hate to write this because I feel I am overstepping my bounds, but since you guys seem semi new to the site I just wanted to clue you in to this possibility.

I would read up on Franks Phasing model in the Permanent Astral Topics and verify his information for yourselves.  Thats what I did and it helped my learning a great deal.

QuoteWell, I finally initialized my crystal in the moonlight using seasalt for the last 3 days. I was lucky enough to have had the crystal a few days before the full moon in which I started.

Let me guess...you've been reading lots of mystical books on AP.  Don't forget to face north under running water during the 5th moon cycle or you'll be toast!  Man, none of this is needed and soon you'll be worried that your crystal isn't charged enough and so you'll fret about this possibility while you are trying to Obe or phase and these thoughts will screw you up.  All this is mumbo jumbo old school mystical junk.  Don't get caught up in all this superstition or you'll just create limiting beliefs.

QuoteNever a less, if the crystal is helping cool but if its just a big old stone - its definitely attractive and a talk piece

True.  Good attitude

QuoteAlso, I've heard that its good to have a crystal that is for grounding and protection

Protection?  From What?  I will let you in on a little secret......THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS NEGS.  Do yourself a favor and look up all you can on Focus 2 in Franks Phasing model.  When most people say the "Astral" what they mean is Focus 2.  In Focus 2 Thoughts=Reality.  So if you think you will see devils, guess what..YOU WILL.  Now, why is this.  The mystics used to think you were "out of Body" and that your thoughts draw these things to you, now we know this is not the case.  In focus 2 you are actually projecting into your subconscious mind, so you can literally make up any place and any scenario.  Read up on Franks Phasing model in the Permanent Astral Topics for a better understanding of the wider reality.

Fear is the mind killer and even BELIEVING in these things is enough to hold you back.  They truly only exist in your head.

QuoteIs there anyone on here with a more reasonable spin on this whole thing?

Anime? The island? The whole tone is that OBE is the "real thing"and that life is an illusion.

Well, in my experience, OBE can be as real as life, but no more so - and it *never* diminishes the importance of life. Often, OBE is more real than dreaming but not as concrete as real life.

And it is never as *stable* as "real life."

Is there anyone here who knows what I'm saying?

Patty-

Astral Pulse is THE most rational site concerning this topic on the net.  What we are saying is that in Focus 2 anything is possible because Focus 2 is in one's subconscious mind.  You ARE NOT "out of body" like the mystics used to think.  This is a quick and dirty definition, but more on Focuses and phasing can be found in the Permanet Astral Topics section.

Focus 3 is the "common" area of consciousness where one can meet deceased realitives etc (we are not talking about this area).  In focus 2 you are only limited to your mind

I would try this line when they open the door:

Hi! Here is your pizza.  Ahh, so this is where you live... I will have to try and remember that (kinda looking around as if you are trying to take it all in).  Oh yea, that will be $14.34.

QuoteThere are some areas in which such an organization would be useful, but it isn't being used properly today

This is the attitude that keeps them in power.  No offense, 98% of the population will agree with you.  Here is what people think "If only MY leaders were in power then this organization would be used for GOOD reasons".

Private charitable organization can always do it more independently and efficiently, with better public oversight than ANY government organization.  Also, if they are not doing a good job people will be free not to give them any more money! Not so with governments and the UN.

* Amnesty international could do human rights inspections
* Red cross can more efficiently deliver Food and Aid (only 15% overhead compared to the UN's 75%!)
* UN stopping wars---Ha ha

QuoteShinobi, I don't doubt that some real progress has been made in Africa by such organizations. It's just that government-funded aid (aside from being technically unconstitutional, but that's never been a problem for the executive order) has a reputation of being horribly carried-out.

Take the tsuanmis for example. Reports have came out saying that most of the aid just ended going to the rich, and the least of it went to the poor that were affected by the disaster because of the systems that were in place before the disaster. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4621365.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/west_midlands/4623807.stm

Another example was some big world-wide aid donation to starving Ethiopians. The name of it exactly escapes me, but tons upon tons of food was sent to feed Ethiopians. It would've been plenty to last for a while, except there was no means to deliver to the people, and it ended up sitting on the ports in Ethiopia and rotting, infested with rodents.

The charity organizations, I don't doubt, are much more effective, seeing as how they actually go in with those people and care for them in person. It's the big, government-sponsored funds that are just send blindly towards the countries with no means of delivering aid that end up such failures.

Btw - Bush may have sent the most money to date, but I doubt much good will come of that money anyway, unless he put it into the private organizations and not the government-backed aid programs, which he probably did. To top it off, the money he donated most likely didn't even exist, and went straight into the national debt. We're careening head-on towards a massive depression with that debt, rising oil prices, and China and Japan switching to supporting the Euro. It's only a matter of time.

Excellent post!  you posted it before I posted mine, so I didn't see it before I responded.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is similar to small government Republicans who listened to their party parrot Libertarian ideas when Clinton was in power, but as soon as they got in power ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE! The government has Grown by leaps and bounds now that Bush is in power. Hell, he hasn't vetoed a SINGLE bill yet!  Rights are being extinguished, and spending bills never cease.  However, now that a Republican is doing the spending Rush Limbaugh couldn't be happier, or at least he will say "It is better than a Democrat being in power!"  NO ITS NOT! Not with a Republican Congress and Senate in power.  At least government would be stagnate instead of growing and mutating.

QuoteIf they were really concerned about Africa, they'd send UN forces down there to halt the genocide that has already claimed upwards of 2 million lives.

The reason for the genocide is due to western Governments arbitrarily drawing lines on a map to make states out of Africa.  They seem really good at combining waring tribes into the same states, so when one tribe comes to power they try and wipe out the other tribe.  This is the same with the "created" country of Iraq with the Kurds, Shiites, and Sunnis (sorry for the spelling).  If government would BUT OUT then much of these problems wouldn't exist. This is also the reason for much of the conflicts in the Middle East.

Also, the UN is a Powerless, corrupt organization.  When they tried to help in Bosnia the military personnel would have to check with their captains each day to check what side they were on!  It is like when the Iraq-Iran war was going on the U.S. armed both sides, so they would have both bases covered!  And guess what, what countries are we having trouble with today!  We armed Alkaida when they fought against the USSR, and lo and behold they used those arms and vast sums of money against Us!  We armed the USSR in WWII against Nazi Germany which led to a 40 year cold war.  lets not forget that after WWII we carved up most of Eastern Europe and gave it to the Soviets so Stalin could continue with the Genocide that Hitler could no longer do.  Hitler came to power because of the Sanctions placed on Germany after WWI that lead to poverty and a ticked off citizenry (perfect breading grounds for tyranny).  In WWI 15,000,000 (15 MILLION) died because some Duke got assassinated,
------------------------>WHAT!!!!!?????!??!?!?!?

Governments should get out of the war racket, and the UN is an evil organization that is trying to erode the rights of US citizens (although, not quite as efficient as the Bush administration).

Down with the UN,

Han

QuoteWhile there are certainly legitimate questions around the appropriate role for government in handing out money, I can't help but hope for some real progress

Government has NO right to stick a gun to my head and FORCE me to give money to this cause, or any other cause.  This will be about as effective as the US giving foreign "aid" to these African dictators.  Basically what happens is that all the aid meant for the people gets confiscated by their regimes and sold on the black market.  Rarely does any of this aid get distributed to the people.  Meanwhile, our governments get to prance around acting like THEY are the humanitarians while they Stole our money at the point of a gun.  NO government program works the way it is designed, and usually they have the opposite effect.  Let us look at the UN sanctions on Iraq that was supposed to contain Saddam and do all sorts of wonderful things for the Iraqis in the long run.  Instead, over 200,000 Iraqis died due to food and medical supplies not being available.  This is more than Saddam even killed.  So they came up with the OIL FOR FOOD program that was supposed to help the people of Iraq get food.  Instead Kofi and Pals were in league with Saddam and stole BILLIONS! (largest fraud every committed in history)  This allowed Saddam to do all sorts of Humanitarian things like build more palaces, etc.  How much of this went to the citizens, you guessed it...just a trickle, bureaucratic waste and fraud stole the rest.

Instead of helping the African populous these dictators will seize this money to help build up their regimes in order to exploit their citizens more.  Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Government is force,
Han

Ps. if you want to help give money to a private organization, but dont run to government to have them stick a gun in my mouth for your cause.  This is not compassion it is thievery!

QuoteAlso, do you really think that people are trying to make things here unmusical

Damn!  Foiled by the spell check again! Drats!

QuoteAnother great example of imprecise use of language fostering anxiety and strife where none is necessary. Personally, I've always like the following definition of a mystic: an ordinary person living life in an extraordinary way. I wish I could remember who said that – I think it's dynamite stuff

I couldn't agree more.  I just don't like Dogma that is attached to anything, and I think most of us could agree that science also has quite a bit of dogma.
The greatest discoveries are made by individuals discontent with the status quo, and who seek the truth.

QuoteHan – loved your first post. I imagined you seeing your latest paycheck and seeing all the taxes out that will never serve you or any purpose you choose! Of course, that would just be me projecting, but I loved the post anyway

You were only projecting the truth.  I agree with Throu when he said "That Government that governs least, governs best".

# Lightbulbs (my brand new AMD 64 3500+ Custom will crash perdiotically)
# Apathy
# Movements (This is one of the rarest thing to happen, I will suddenly start shaking in a specific area[It only happened twice])
# Fatigue (After I get home everyday, I will go on the computer, get updated, watch tv get updated more, and then be like totally flushed, like once I lay down, I just cant get up, this is not during the same time every day, it is extremely random.
# Numbness (In my left leg)
# Digestive Changes (Had to stay home for several days, worst I have ever had.)
# The Long Dark Night of the Soul (Now, I have been feeling like extremely lonely, and depressed, of course.)

Dude, it sounds like you are just depressed!  This probably has nothing to do with Kundalini.  I too have seen the sites that give a laundry list of symptoms of "Kundalini" that read like the list on Prozac commercials.  I have definitely had my Kundalini awaken under dubious circumstances.  YOU WILL KNOW IF YOU HAVE HAD IT.

These posts have been a LITTLE off my original topic, but here goes.

QuoteRobert Bruce calls himself a mystic, and I doub't anyone here would be in a position to question his experiences with the astral

I don't question his experiences, I question his interpretations.  First, have you read his Psychic self defense book.  What a load of Cr*p!  That book set my progress back probably a half a year.  RB believes that in the "Astral" there are NEGS and these "creatures" are demons, so in order to combat them you need to do all sorts of wild Sh*t.  My progress has gone into hyper drive while studying Franks Phasing Model, and now that I have been to the "Astral", Focus 2, and have confirmed that I can literally have these beings manifest just by thinking of them.  I have no doubt that RB is a developed projector, however I think that mystical dogma has heavily influenced his belief structure.  It is a kin to trying to tell a devout Christian that the Earth is older than 5000 years old!

I think of mystics as people who clutch on to the old dogma of Astral Projection.  Saying prayers to arch angels,  7 layers each with 7 layers, etc, etc.

I do have respect for there early work, circa 1000 BC-1400 AD, which we have built upon.  However, as today's technology was yesterdays magic, so it will be with AP.  The truth will come out as soon as enough unencumbered minds are put to the task.

Han

PS.  Many don't want this area to become unmystical, because that wouldn't be as "sexy"

QuoteWtf? HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL!! And he wasn't the only one killed, you know! Every single person human being in that building, 74 men, women, and even little kids and infants were burned alive by the FBI!

Here the remains of a two-year-old child burned to death at Waco.

I was going to post the picture right into this post but I figured it would be moderated. Nonetheless, you should see it. I know you didn't mean anything by it really, but it's hardly a joking matter when so many innocent people are burned alive for no damned reason, and then people remark that the government would never harm their own citizens. Give me a break; I hope you weren't serious when you said that. You might also want to look up something about Ruby and Ridge and even 9/1

I agree with no leaf clover,

If you want to know the true story about Waco get the DVD "Waco:  The Rules of Engagement".  You will never look at your government the same again.    Very powerful movie, it even won an Emmy Award.

"When the government fears the People, that is Liberty. When the People fear the Government, that is tyranny." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Great post-

She is definately talking about phasing into Focus 2 in this paper.  She even talks about FZ (3d blackness), which is really close to Focus 3.  However, she seems to stop there and never seems to talk about Focus 3.  Someone should alert her to Franks model of phasing so she can explore focus 3 and focus 4.  I liked how she approached this topic in a rational manner, she would feel right at home with Franks research.

You don't have to renounce your American citizenship.  I know that perpetual tourist (PT's) have multiple citizenships.  I just wish I could get one in Andorra!  It sucks that Americans are taxed on their world wide income, even if they don't live in the US.

Thanks Catmeow.

I was addressing Skamoni (his avatar is the anarchy sign).

I am a libertarian, which agrees on 98% of the issues as an anarchist.  I asked if it was for economic issues or rebellious issues because his name has SKA in it (which is a type of music).  Punk rockers and Ska listeners tend to embrace anarchism because it is anti establishment and not for the very real free market issues.
