maybe you should find a partner who appreciates you.

I'm totally with you on this one Nay.

Even when I'm in a relationship with a teacher, I would expect a mutual respect.  So if I'm gonna call them master they can call me master.

They like to hang out on campus at my school and get all uppity and get the kids to get all uppity back.

My fiancee won't ever let me talk to them.  Once she told me that it's not my place to ruin their faith in god.  Whatever.  As long as they don't come to my house.  If they come to my house then that's a whole different story.  When you invade my personal space you will get the wrath of the PR!  Mwahahahaha.  lol.

Hey Nay,

what do you say to a woman with 2 black eyes?

nothing, she's already been told twice.

now get back in the kitchen where you belong!

lol.

i don't remember saying anything about women, but if you're insightful enough to glean that brilliant piece of the puzzle that is PR, then I guess I have to trust you.

My distaste for America has nothing to do with liberal media.  It has everything to do with obsolete generations of people still insisting that their way to exist on this planet with all of the other humans is the only way.  The media (liberal or otherwise) is just another cog in the wheel of brainwashing immense potential energy into brainless consuming zombies.  And quite frankly I think that anyone who believes that we can find reasonable solutions to the world's/humanity's problems through what people like to idealistically call "government" and "democracy" and "socialism" and etc. etc. etc., is the problem and we'd all be better off if you were taken out back and shot so the rest of us could get on with creating the compassionate world that we're capable of.

But hey, I'm just a nutter with no perspective, best not listen to me.  I mean your politics seem to be doing a fine job, I must just be deluded by unconscious abandonment issues or something.

Oh, and I know this won't really help to avert a rip roaring intellectual battle with you, but that wasn't directed at you specifically Nay.  Your comment was just the inspiration.  My post was in NO WAY a direct attack on you or your personal philosophy.  Cool.

it was a joke at pauli.  he came into #astralpulse and said he wrote a really long post.

does anyone ever consider that you're making your explorations more complicated than they need to be?

perhaps limiting your experience as a result?

i don't know, just a thought.

carry on.

hindsight is awesome right?

lol.

didn't say anyone was requiring it.

just said that i feel it is pointless to try.

and the op asked for opinions didn't they?  that's what you said yesterday.

anyway, like i said to lezi, no worries CFT.  I seem to be the wet blanket in this thread so I'll chill on being contradictory.

I differ from ryan at this point slightly.

for me, demons certainly exist but for the most part, the demons that are experienced from a human perspective are generated from your own mind.  i'm not saying they are a figment of your imagination (not that that isn't real either though), but rather they are intensely compressed thoughtforms that have been given enough energy by you to become manifest.  you could experience these beings physically or astrally.  bottom line, in most situations (from a human perspective), you created these entities out of your own supposed shortcomings, the bits of yourself that you refuse to acknowledge.  this is why inner transformational work is absolutely imperative if you want to undertake spiritual work.  if you don't heal your mind, you will continue to suppress what you don't like about yourself and pieces will continue to fragment and break away from you.  don't get me wrong here, these pieces never leave you, they stay with you and impact your perception of reality.  why do you think everyone in the world is sooo crazy these days?  they're incomplete.

well, she doesn't talk about it really, but she teaches classes on it.

my advice is not to worry about what's normal.  as far as the ego self is concerned, none of it is normal and it will try it's darndest to freak you out about that.

just roll with it.

i might also suggest making sure to maintain a dedicated meditative practice.  teach yourself to hold a single minded focus OR teach yourself to immerse yourself in visualization.  both would be quite helpful.
#1415
eww, cherry cake.  lol.

#1416
yea, that was the simple answer, but the experience is infinitely complex compared to that.
#1417
so people spell the name of an American tv character differently in other countries?

i'll take your word for it.

I wasn't responding specifically to you Lezi, no worries.

Just throwing in my perspective.  And I should clarify because CFT commented on it as well before we lost those few hours yesterday.  My point is that none of us can truly understand the emotional experience of another person and they can't understand ours.  So there's really no sense in even trying to share it.

Welcome!

I ate kangaroo tail once, bout the closest to Australia I've ever been.

Just don't tell them that you think AP and LD are the same thing.  They don't take kindly to that over there.  Otherwise, whatever.  Take what you need and leave the rest.

I thought it was an imaginary land where Geordie (LeVar Burton) was king of the blind.

(even though his name was spelled Geordi)

one of the most profound and persistent visions i've ever had is one where i see myself and then the picture zooms out really fast to encompass the whole universe and then i see me again.  i understand it and i understand that it is a representation of the purpose of my life, but i could never explain it, no matter how hard i tried.  but it's not at all what it seems.  not even remotely that simple.  i had to see it many times before i got it.

You mentioned it.

But that reminds me, PR are you going to do reading yet.  I'll try and find that thread you started a while back and perhaps you can do a reading on a few people.

Not now.

I was working with a few members through PM and email for a while, but I'm not reading anymore.

Quite honestly, I've not felt capable lately.  Interestingly enough, my intuition has strengthened a great deal since the spring, but I don't feel like I'm in a position to provide accurate information to others.  I'm extremely overwhelmed by my own journey right now and I feel like the last few readings I was doing turned into readings about me.  I couldn't separate the querrent from myself and didn't feel like I was doing good for the other person.  So, for now, no I am not doing readings.  I want to keep reading for people though, so I imagine I will when I feel secure in my ability to be objective.

@Angelic

The word junkie has kind of become a generic word for addict, which is the meaning I intended to imply.  And yea, I was a heroin addict when I finally worked on getting sober.  In truth though, I was just an addict, didn't matter what it was.  Especially if i could get it in a needle.  It is what it is though.  A necessary experience.
