Appreciate your points, but respect that you may be basing your opinion on an edited version (by parties unknown) of Aryanknight666 previous post!

As I did not save a copy of the original version please consider that the context of my response is now totally lost!

Hi Chimerae,

I appreciate what you are saying and I respect that challenge = opportunity for growth! How we rise to the challenge is another kettle of fish. As you know difficult life lessons get repeated until their truthful significance sinks in.

I would like to get back to on this one later and attempt to qualify (at least in part) as best I can the content of my previous post.

Aryanknight666,

Hope you do not think my approach towards you as facetious?

The thoughts were inspired and I hope that they have value for you! But to repeat myself: I would admit that they do require qualification on my part or at least follow on analysis in terms of the source of inspiration (if that is what it was). It may have been an ego response, although I do tend to question inspired thought (often) regardless! Perhaps if further developed this may lend weight to the original context of this discussion...  as you raise important questions regarding the source of guidance etc.

Best,

Stephen

Dear Aryanknight666,

You are not doing yourself any favours. Normally I would have edited/deleted your post, but have chosen to leave it as it is!

Can I suggest as much as you may feel aggrieved that other users may be making digs at you or your opinion that you might consider that you are only enabling them to reflect back to you your own angst.

Whether you believe in Guides, Angels or fallen ones, helpers etc. does not matter a penny fig. Seek the blessing of knowing yourself. Speak to your own soul kindly. The inner guide that is you is there for you if you are ready to pay heed to the call. Open your heart without shame for past actions in this life or any previous incarnation.

You are part of all that is and is not! Seek forgiveness and offer forgiveness. You are LOVED as much as any one else here and deserve peace of mind with what is troubling you at this time.

No one here is really judging you - as you are the only one that can go through that process and will come out the eye of the needle reborn. Many of us here have had our own 'dark nights of the soul' - we recognise in you that these are dark days indeed for you.

If you need healing all you have to do is ask!

We send you only but love. Awaken and remember who you truly are!

Peace be with you,

Stephen  :)

Hi folks,

Thread now reopened for discussion following review.

Do please consider that: -

While this is a legitimate area of discussion, in our view such a long fast, without medical advice, may have adverse consequences to the physical body.

Interesting and following on from what Frank has said - a similar question was raised during the recent Robert Bruce workshop. When he explained that he prefers an inclined position in his office chair and that for him a upper body angle of about 45 to 37.4 degrees seems to work very well.

Although a few people chose to lie down for most all the practice was done seated in chairs. Some of the group had success with this!

Additionally Robert explained that it actually helps to be sightly uncomfortable to maitain some body consciousness. In other words to prevent one from falling asleep and to keep the mind open for memory download etc.

When practicing in a seated position during the workshop and on other occasions e.g. easy position - I find that I tend to get astral vision episodes rather than full OBE. On occasion I seem to maintain a sort of dual consciousness i.e of the body and of the location as perceived via extended awareness etc. Although I have had full OOBE whilst seated, but more commonly when prone or propped up at an angle.

Smiles,

A guide (for the sake of a label) will prove themselves if asked, but continually seek to open ones eyes to their presence regardless.

The rest is up to you!

Good luck,

Hi Heter,

Even a brief skim of the net throws up a general consensus which indicates that this process appears to be an exceptionally dangerous one! A number of news items tell of horrific cases of people practicing breathatarianism (to it's extreme) dying as a result! Does any one really want to practice self mortification!

Personally I would not even entertain the thought of trying it.

Best,

Stephen

P.S. If you do not mind I am locking this thread. If you have any concerns then PM me or any of the moderator team.

Hi Donal,

Interesting as you are not the only one who appears to have been getting physical phenomena lately. Traditionally this has been ascribed to spirit people. i.e. they are using their minds to use the energy available in the physical environment to move objects etc.

A valuable point and one a number of groups would agree on is that it primarily ones own power that is used to enable this to occur. Therefore it could be just as much you (albeit subconsciously) who are controlling this as the mind of a non physical person. At the same time it is a good idea to carry out 'reality checks' to help you verify if this is physical phenomena or a subjective experience!

Best,

Stephen

P.S. This does not imply that you have a poltergeist.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / YOGA!

Hi bacsy413,

I have taken the 1st initiation in Babaji's Kriya yoga and it did not cost very much anyhow. Appreciate that courses seem expensive, but it is worth considering that responsible schools will reconsider the fee based on what you can afford. So if you are interested why not write to them and offer a reasonable donation or ask for a reduction in fees.

I have studied a variety of styles of yoga, mainly Hatha (sporadically since my late teens), but have taken a keener interest over the last 5-6 years and also have a small appreciation of Raja and Kriya yoga (as above). Even from even my limited experience I would say it is worth seeking a good teacher, and as per the adage the teacher will appear!

Although I have read with delight some of Paramahansa Yogananda's books e.g. Autobiography of a Yogi, I would be unable to advise you about SRF courses, although I do know people who have enjoyed participation with the SRF etc. As far as I understand Govindan's approach is to reveal a greater number of the Kriya's via each initiation than the SRF might do.

Whether you decide to follow the western approach and take up SRF (and variants), Babaji Kriya Yoga or float off to India to seek a Kriya guru is up to you. Which ever way may I wish you a wonderful and peaceful journey!

Blessings,

Stephen  :D

If you want some background have a look at http://www.babaji.ca/english/

The short book by M. Govindan 'Babaji's Kriya Hatha Yoga' 18 postures of relaxation & rejuvenation is worth getting as it will give you a flavor for the physical side and good preparation of the body for the meditation.  The breath work (pranayama) can be found via the net, but are not described in the format i.e the system that would be taught to you during the initiations. It is worth considering that as a system it is designed to be effective as possible as such. i.e. there are no short cuts and it is best to be taught by and recieved via a good teacher!

Hi Torjan,

Welcome to the forum.

Your experience looks like a good start!

Yes, there can be a point (with various trance states) at which consciousness can appear to slip, but glad you were able to gather your wits. Time can appear to fluctuate as per your experience, or perhaps this demonstrates that mind is not constrained by linear time (who knows)

Next occasion I am sure you will be able to keep with it for a little longer.

Well done!

Appreciate your difficulties and hope that life is manageable and comfortable for you.

Unfortunately the average psychiatrist has yet to catch up on metaphysical and esoteric understanding. I am sure there are some forward thinking clinical psychologists and medical professionals here, and they might be able to bring something along to this discussion to help you out!

Many of us (myself included), would admit to having experienced or perceived aspects of life that exists beyond what we might regard a physical reality.

Whether faeries are figments of the imagination and exist in our minds or not, I simply do not know for sure! I have been aware of things in meditation and during normal waking consciousness that might in some circles be described as fey like. But then mind seems to add form to perception! In other words one person's angel is another's elf! But then some would say that everything is mind! On the other hand if non-physical beings demonstrate that they have intelligence and are able to prove this by bringing evidence to bare on the matter, then might one not sit up and pay attention or at least seek to find answers to the conundrum!

Unfortunately you appear to be in a catch 22 situation where I assume anytime you cry wolf – it seems that your peer group and council echo only abject disbelief!

There are people here who can and will bring you reassurance, but will also be able to guide you gently with respect to developing a clearer understanding of non-physical life as well!

You are very welcome to these forums and I hope you will make some good friends here.

Best wishes,

Stephen  :)

Hi monicat777,

Welcome back to the forums.

Sensitivity is part and parcel of awakening and can seem overwhelming at 1st, but can be tamed (I've been there)! Please be patient as best you can - you will find balance!

Try this protection prayer – it is simple and it works! Start with this rather than trying a 101 different techniques! If you want to try something more complicated then only do so when you feel ready to move on! Do not feel any pressure to perform for yourself. One day at a time and keep things simple OK!

http://www.junecleeland.com/docs/protect.html

Alternatively (when more comfortable) try some of Nita's techniques www.astralhealer.com – 'Removing Negativity' is particularly good.

Also take time to study Robert Bruce's 'Healing With The Heart' article: - http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=8

You will get through this! I respect that it may seem easy enough saying this, but you have to trust that many of us have also been through really difficult times and come out the other end smiling.

Hope this helps?

many blessings,

Stephen  :)

Hi loverofdragons2004,

Welcome back to the forums. I accidentally deleted the original thread while trying to move your post from Astral Chat to Astral Experiences. Sensibly I took a text copy beforehand and have created a new thread here for you here.

Sorry about the inconvenience, but hopefully now you will get some decent replies.

Best,

Greeting's all. I'm fairly new here again to the forums, but I was actually here about a few years ago whenever this site was first out. Wow, has it grown since I was on here! Great! Keep up the great work Robert, Nita and other's!

Well, first of all, does anyone know about the lower astral realm? You know, the place that has the neat creatures of all shapes, forms and sizes, such as snakes with wings, astral larvae, half human, half something else, horned looking beings that look human but are not necessarily human and so on. That mostly is where I take interest in exploring and learning more about, but I tend to at times get myself into big trouble...especially if I just accidentally wind up projecting there without protecting myself with white light or using some other protective technique first.

If anyone else on here takes interest in this kind of realm that I've briefly described...please feel free to private message, e-mail or post on here to me! Let's open this new board up! Of course, if you don't take a particular interest in the lower astral realms, we can also talk about the higher one's instead. The higher one's generally seem to be much more stable and don't seem to really fluctuate, flicker or suddenly disappear as much as the lower realms do. Also, does anyone know why that may be? Why the lower realms seem to be so much more unstable and fluctuate so much more than the higher one's do? Anyone?

As for knowing about the more higher realms...I've projected to them at times. They tend to have brighter colors and not as many astral parasites and bad things that like to attach to a projector like "astral larvae" that Robert has talked about in his book before. Darn those things! The bad things mostly exist on the lower realms, but could they ever be up in the higher realms? Does anyone know? It's as though these little pesty things main purpose to exist on the lower realms are specifically are to make the projector miserable, both on a spiritual level as well as a physical level over time. Over time, a projector can actually develop some sort of physical sickness or even a type of mental problem associated from getting one of these nasty things attached to them from after they've projected to these lower realms. So, please go to the lower realms with caution, and don't forget to try using some form of spiritual protection before attempting to project to one of the lower realms!

One of the other things that I've noticed about the higher realms are people who behave as though they are some sort of teacher. They have a type of Medieval feeling and style of clothing that they have about them. I like seeing them. They don't appear to be speaking with their mouth but mostly with thoughts, feelings and actions. I think that's pretty neat. Has anyone ever projected before to the higher realms and know and have seen what I've just talked about here, about these kinds of people? If so, please do let me know!

Well, I believe that I've already written too much here! Sorry about that! I just love this sort of subject and would really love to hear from other's who possibly know or who have had experiences similar to what I've described here before.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Interpreting my guides
November 30, 2004, 20:18:49
Hi Kate,

QuoteHow am I supposed to learn to trust in spirit and lose my self doubt when the messages I am getting are so disjointed and sporadic?

No one ever said that mediumship is an easy path. You may familiar with the adage 'many are called, but few are chosen'. This applies equally to this calling as much as any other route to at-one-ment. On the other hand it can be deeply rewarding act of service, which in return gives one privilege to glimpse many wonders and a true blessing of love!

Like you I had awareness from childhood and chose (was inspired to put it mildly) to follow (aspire to as best I can) a spiritual path in recent years. Do be patient as it really does take time to refine your gift as an instrument for spirit. I know many individuals with decades of experience still regard themselves as humble students. It's more than admirable to aspire to be able to be 100% accurate, but we have human faculties and even the greatest have off days.

If you are in an awareness/development group/circle then good on you as you have taken a significant step forward. Your tutor no doubt has already emphasised the importance of working on/with your own spirit. This is of paramount importance. Take time to sit in the quiet/power without seeking to establish communication, as this is a primary means to refining your mind/soul and link with spirit and the divine connection/heritage we all share. Make careful note of the difference between this and when seeking a link with individualised spirit in the form of guides, inspirers, helpers and loved ones.

In order to seek clarity and confirmation you should not hesitate to question your tutor. As they should be aware of the presence of the communicators you have been working with in circle.  They should at all times aim to help you to establish a growing depth of clarity regarding the personality of communicators, and refine your ability to obtain accurate evidence etc.

With respect to guides, be absolutely clear in your focus. Always send them a loving thought before seeking their inspiration. Also it is often better to seek simple mind to mind heart to heart attunement with them than streams of Q&A as the answers will come in good time for you! This is important: as when you allow your awareness to blend with their energy; they will in turn seek to means to assist you in your ability to distinguish them from other energies and personalities. They will also help you to form a clear code of recognition btw you and them, and you will find also over time that other people will give you confirmation about some of your inspirers. This can often be something ever so simple, but you will know on those occasions when they occur!

Just remember love is the link - anything that does not come with love reject!!!!

Hope this short note helps,

Stephen  :)
