Cleansing rituals should be done daily.  Trust me.  Its not nice when people start smelling like crotch rot.

Hi S_man_9, congratulations on your first OBE :)

Bear in mind im no expert in this but what you experienced seem like reality fluctuations.  When you go OOB, you dont actually explore the physical world as you do when you are awake, you explore a very close replica vibrating at a higher frequency.  Another level of consciousness if you will.  This is all very similar in most part to the physical as it is so close vibration wise, but thoughts and other things can affect its actual appearance to you.

When I have been OOB, reality fluctuations have been small, but they are present if I look closely.

I could of course be wrong though :)

Is this the case even if the entities are Focus 2 fictional characters from videogames and TV shows? Or does that count more as her fantasy rather than reality?

Its all reality in my opinion.  Just  because you cant experience her F2, doesnt make it any less real.

Twitter can be as twatty or not as you want it to be!

I hated it at first, but its a great source of information if you follow the right people.  I use it with my business alot.  Its just like having an RSS feed of interesting topics.  Dont get too bogged down by the fact its a "social networking" site.  It can be used how you want providing you follow the right people.

My goals are...

1) Be able to relax into a state to allow projection (I currently can only project after waking from sleep)
2) Learn to Phase
3) Do the above whenever I want

Hey Caterpillar Woman - Interesting blog!  I have both followed you and subscribed to your RSS feed :)

Aww you big soppy blanket!

If its worth fighting for then stick with it, however I would certainly be questioning her motivations.  Also, I see "The Astral" as just an extension of our physical reality, I think Frank called it "Wider Reality" and I agree with this term.  Its all real, physical or not (IMO) and I would certainly not be happy about my wife doing what you describe in Physical or non-Physical REALITY.

Hey, I havent spotted the customary Forum Thread about Twitter on AP yet so..

Are any of you on Twitter?  Do you say anything interesting?

If so, post your twitter name here!

Correct me if im wrong, but with phasing I assume you dont "phase" into the RTZ - is that right?  I would class Phasing as Astral Projection and exiting the body as an OBE - again is this right?

I used 20x Salvia on 2 occasions and NEVER again will I touch it.  First time was just off the map crazy but not bad, but the second took me to places I didnt like!

Bought it over the counter on both occasions back home in England.

Take a look at www.vehram.com and buy his ebook for just $10 - I think you will find it interesting.  It certainly works.

Has anyone had much success using the Gateway series in this regard?

Actually, Robert Monroe figured out that after Focus 15 time ceased to exist.

Beyond which most of his experiences in his last two books took place :)

I think physical time and astral time can differ wildly.  In Robert Monroe's books his physical time checks indicated maybe 2 to 8 minutes but it seemed to his projected self that he was away hours.  Remember time-space doesnt exist in Astral focuses so the perception of time passing will almost certainly be different from the physical.

I have often wondered how people who claim to Lucid Dream know they are doing so and what is the difference.  I had had 3 OBE's last month before I got my first ever Lucid Dream (which I then converted successfully to a conscious exit OBE) and I tell you something, there is ZERO mistaking a Lucid Dream for a normal (or even partially lucid) Dream.  In mine, I was dreaming and I was in a room with a staircase ahead of me.  I suddenly came to the realisation that I was dreaming and all of a sudden the scene I was "viewing" as a dream, surrounded me. When I dream, I certainly dream in 3D, but it lacks depth and when you think about it, its kind of like watching a movie to a certain degree.  When I became Lucid, it was not like watching a movie, it was like being in one!  Not only was I viewing a scene (even viewing 1st person) but I was immersed in it.  I could feel space behind me and all around and I was as conscious and aware as I am writing this now.  It was a very peculiar sensation, but trust me, when it happens there will be no confusion about whether or not its a Lucid Dream or not!

Hi all,

I started researching OBE's etc after a strange occurrence at the beginning of April - I started around 5th April.  By 10th April I had my first OBE(s) and by 24th id had 4 (on 3 separate occasions).  If you want details you can see my blog which is linked in my signature.  Since then I have upped my NEW Energy Work and read much much more about various methods and techniques.  Since the 24th ive had very little success in the way of OBE's.

At the beginning, all I had read was the Vehram Method and some of Lucidology.  These methods worked!  Now I have absorbed more information from differing sources and started energy work I think I have my fingers in too many pies and as such, im not sticking to one set way to achieve an OBE.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Would it be better to cut off all the slack and go back to basics?  Also, has anyone else experienced issues when introducing Energy Work?

I know im still new to this but I had what I would call relatively good success in my first month attempting OBE's and I expect myself to progress, not stagnate. Frustration is beginning to kick in and I know that will only hinder things more!

Maybe im just impatient...!

Hi All,

Im relatively new to OOBE's etc but ive had a comparatively successful beginning, managing 3 OOBE's in less than 2 weeks since I started trying.  However all successes have happened when following the Vehram method (waking up then immediately inducing an OBE). The problem with this is that i cant replicate this whenever I want (at the moment).

I have read the info on Franks phasing method and I know I can do this because I get the same visuals when closing my eyes.  I can get these visuals within 15-20 minutes anytime I want.  My HUGE problem though, is when I start getting the visuals, I notice myself getting them and I quickly get snapped back to full consciousness.  I cannot maintain concentration enough to see them through.

I can also normally get to the point of mild vibrations when relaxing but again, my concentration gets a slap in the face and I again get shook back to full consciousness.

I know I need to become more passive etc with regards to the experience, but how??  Just now, I have tried for around 1 hour and every time the visuals or vibrations appear the same thing happens.  I even tell myself to prepare and relax for the next time but again, I snap back to full waking consciousness.  Its getting a bit frustrating.  I feel I am on the edge of managing to phase but I cannot keep my concentration (or I guess lack of it) focussed.

Can anyone offer any advice on maintaining the visuals without jerking back to normal?

would love any feedback!

Hey, im certainly no expert at all - I had my first OOBE just a couple of days ago and only started learning about this stuff a week ago so all I call say is what has worked (very quickly) for me.

From your post it seems you are over thinking it - an hour and a half to relax seems a long time but that could just be my view.  I recommend having a look at www.vehram.com.  Its a simple method which has worked immediately (first attempt) for me.  It doesnt involve hours trying to relax because you already ARE relaxed.  Anyway, I wont go into much detail here but I highly recommend you read the book - its just $10.
