intentional or not, i really do think that TVs, computers, radios, electronics in general have a bit effect on our brainwave states.  Especially TV and Radio, you just don't know what signals could be hidden in the normal program signal.  Beyond that, I believe Tesla discovered that all life on earth can be influenced by applying energy of a certain frequency to the atmosphere (HAARP), so it may not be so wild of a supposition that someone, given the right technology, could influence brain wave patterns.

you seem to have the level of awareness in which reality checks would be useful.

create a habit in your waking life of asking yourself "am I dreaming" every time you do something that you do regularly.  i find that i tend to look at the sky or ceiling a lot in dreams and waking life for some reason, so i turned that into a mindfulness meditation/reality check during my waking hours.  so anytime i get the urge to look up, i ask myself "am I dreaming, is all of this right?". 

hopefully, if you perform that action in a dream, you will then ask yourself "am i dreaming?" and be able to achieve lucidity.

I never thought this would happen, but thank you Nay, that is my point exactly.

My experiences in projection are ultimately irrelevant.  It doesn't matter what I have experienced, the simple truth is that I have experienced the shift in awareness that people call astral projection and I will certainly come to ever evolving conclusions about these journeys.  But I come to these conclusions on my own and I wouldn't dream of telling other people "this is how it is".

i have indeed read the monroe and kepple resources.

let me respond simply.  i don't like the presumptuous attitude and subsequent definition declared by kepple and monroe.  who the hell do they think they are?!  jesus or something?  lol, totally kidding. 

but in all seriousness, these people are fine for achieving projection, but as far as "astral physics" goes, that is an individual journey.  you experience the astral world you expect to experience.

I've never heard the term "Astral Mud" before, but I thought it was common knowledge that your subconscious reflects into the astral and you in turn experience the projections it creates until you learn to move past it.

I wasn't joking.  I really think Monroe created these astral environments by defining/labeling them.  Then he set up the monroe institute and wrote books to teach people about his environments and get them to practice projection primarily through his paradigm.  This way, after his death, he would be able to exist in his own astral kingdom that is consistently being fed by all the people that come and drop $4000 to stay at the institute and the people that treat astral projection as just a bunch of arbitrary "focus levels".

In all the attacks on the man who probably singlehandedly changed the metaphysical landscape, what is being missed is that he figured out the the Astral 'Mud', demons and dragons etc... was an unnecessary diversion... Transcendents knew about this which is why they vetted their students for moral character before taking them on as chelas... and warned against the 'powers'...

You all owe Monroe the clear vision you now enjoy as a potential to get past the Astral mud. You just don't know it or even possibly understand it. Or worst yet care about it... you just benefit from it enormously.

I actually read monroe's books long after I can to the conclusion (on my own of course) that your astral experiences are influenced by your "moral character".  I don't owe Monroe anything.  I appreciate his contribution but also recognize that many people before him contributed a great deal to understanding our nonphysical side.

the belief in karma as moralistic cause and effect is a modern bastardization perpetrated by religious zealots.

it's funny because new agers think it's such a sophisticated belief, far removed from the sins of christians. 

really it's the exact same thing as the concept stands now.

karma is better understood to be your "mind state".  your actions effect your perception and therefore the world you see.  if you perform actions that limit your perception and narrow your state of awareness then you will see an ever increasing unrest in the world around you.  it's not so cut and dry and you do bad things and bad things will happen.  though this is much more complicated than what i've laid out, this is the basic understanding.  you don't have to be moralistic about it though.  karma isn't about morality.  morality is a human thing.

Yes and No.

Your aura can't be stolen but it can be siphoned, distorted and used by a host of things (depending on your beliefs).

For example, I would say that your shadow self (your subconscious) can siphon energy from you, making you feel weak.  It can also project itself through your perception, which would distort your energy, possibly resulting in depression.

Some might say that there are actual autonomous beings that can attach to you and feed off of your energy.

A good way to get basic stuff off of you is by visualizing light around you body as your aura and send surges of energy through it with the intention of cleansing.  There are other mystical cleansing procedures like burning sage, consecration and crystals, which basically act as tools to focus astral energy to do the same thing as the visualization.

I would say yes.  This kind of infers that your body can be harmed in projection though so its a fine line.

Nevertheless, this is the job of a shaman in many cases.
