Greetings!

My advice to you is that if you wake in the middle of the night and are still tired to try and have an OOBE then. :)

This is actually very good advice!

The main problem with OBE is achieving the necessary states of relaxation and trance while in a fully waking state. This of course takes practice, and meditation.

But, you can also create this environment from the waking from sleep state either by setting your alarm clock an hour or so earlier then you would normally arise, or by taking a short nap during the middle of the day. You just then need the presence of mind to immediately try an OBE exit, e.g. by using "rope" or a similar method.

Best regards,

Adrian.

I will definetly have to do some research on the subject.  In a nutshell, what exactly did Mr. Bruce say about this "grid"?

Fundamentally, each Astral plane has a sort of no mans land in between, and as you approach the "surface skin" of a plane, it appears as an infinite grid of squares of whatever colour, and with a complex symmetrical pattern or shape in the centre. The back cover of Astral Dynamics is an illustration of this - amazing it is too!

But it seems to me that most people arrive actually already within a particular plane, and accordingly would not see the surface skin of the plane as it were.

In the context of the original post in this thread - I don't know. To see the surface of a plane, you would need to be approaching it from above, from a position of being in between planes.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings DJ!

You should let your Dad read the book and arrive at his own conclusions.

If you do not do that, he will be very suspicious, and might take a negative view as a sort of defensive reflex. Be honest with him - if he thinks it is theoretical, then he won't mind you reading it for academic interest will he?

I have three sons aged 11, 10 and nearly 9, and I let them read these things either from books or from the Internet - they have their own PC with its own permanent Internet connection, and I trust them. The way I see it is this - I wish I had access to this sort of information, and those sort of resources when I was their and your age!

If your Dad has any concerns, I am sure Robert would answer an email from him with any questions if he has time, otherwise I would be delighted to.

Please remember though, parents always only have the best interest of their children at heart, although it might not always seem that way if they disagree with you

Good luck!

Adrian.

Greetings Daniel!

I am not sure an OBE film is a good idea at all, but a documentary would be excellent.

The problem with a film (or movie as you say in the States ), is that, as I think you implied, the films financiers, directors, publishers etc., would want to turn it into a money circus for maximum financial return - call me a cynic if you like

OBE, and indeed all Spiritual matters are much too important to be sensationalised and cheapened in that way, and could have all sorts of side-effects I do not care to contemplate. These things always have been, and always should, be for the true seeker to seek out and discover of their own accord. Even Harry Potter hasn't put over the right sort of image it seems - not that I have seen it, because I have not, and do not intend to

But - Robert's Art Bell interview was wholly exceptional, and struck all the right notes with all sorts of different people. It conveyed understanding and the seriousness of these matters, together with the excellent work that Robert, and people like Romero, who is engaged in this frightening demonic exorcism right now, do, unselfishly for the benefit of mankind, and straight from the heart. I think a series of documentaries involving Robert, and perhaps people like the Monroe Institute would be an excellent idea. NDE is a topic close to my own heart, as I had one myself last July! It would be very interesting to demonstrate how closely related OBE and NDE are for example, and might help people who have lost loved ones recently.

Best regards,

Adrian.

If one were to consider "work" as pertaining to The Great Work, spiritual enlightenment, etc., then causing a holocaust, or raping someone would not "work" very well.

Indeed. There is no such definition of good and evil per se, because everything has been created to be equal, on its respective realm and level of existence. But everything *is* subject to the universal Karmic laws of "cause and effect", so anyone or anything engaging in dark actions, can expect equally dark consequences as a direct result of those actions at some juncture.

Adrian.

Greetings Winged_Wolf and Everyone!

Well at the final analysis one should spell Magic(k) in accordance with the way one feels most comfortable spelling it To me alone, the spelling can only be Magic

The only point I was making, was with specific regards to the logic or lack thereof of the notion of using the spelling in differentiating true Magic with stage tricks. If you think about it, if you are talking verbally about Magic(k), the spoken word is pronounced exactly the same in both cases, so the addition of the (k) is absolutely meaningless, because it is verbally an invisible (k), and accordingly does not emphasise itself in conversation.

If using the spelling "Magick" in the written word, the vast majority of people, i.e. those not directly involved in Magic(k) in some way, will not understand the significance of the (K) at all, and will most likely dismiss it as a spelling error.

The spelling differences are only of notional importance to those therefore, who already understand, and can differentiate the differences and relative meanings between stage tricks and true Magic, and in that case the need to differentiate it is entirely moot.

At the very final analysis ask yourself this - why does it even matter to you what people regard as the meaning of the word Magic(k)? The only thing that is really important, in every sense, is what Magic(k) really means to you.

Best regards to everyone,

Adrian.

Greetings Arulok!

Excellent questions indeed, and I for one look forward to a hypothesis on those issues.

Of course, it might well be due to associations with the past incarnations of Pearl that have something to do with the choice of victim. I would agree with you, in as much that Pearl would not appear, in her present incarnation, to wield any sort of tangible power over society, or have special powers, that the demon could usefully use. Of course, the demon would well know by now, due to all of the pervious attempts to exorcise it, that it's cover is well and truly blown! I am sure we will know the answers in due course.

Like you, my energies, thoughts and prayers go to Romero and Pearl.

With kind regards,

Adrian.

Greetings everyone!

I would just like to say that I do not currently believe in the concept of "satan".

I could go into a long justification of my position, but to do so would result in a large scale analysis, which I really do not want to get into, and which would encroach on the religious beliefs of some people, and which I also really do not want to do   Also, many people in this thread have stated opinions which I believe are broadly correct.

I do currently believe that there is a heirarchy of higher light and dark side beings, but which however cannot be correctly referred to as good or evil (or satan) - they are all rightful aspects of the "One", notwithstanding the fact that the dark side beings, particularly the higher ones, can be extremely powerful and dangerous and to human beings.

I hope that isn't to convoluted

Kind regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Winged Wolf and everyone!

I regard this as an important topic, because I believe this energy parasite problem is much more common than people think. Aside from higher energy parasites, there are also "larvae" which feed of sick or injured people, taking advantage of their vulnerabilities and generally weakened physical and mental state.

I am interested in how you "see" these entities attached to people?

Generally, a good thing to try, is visualise bathing yourself in spiritual bright white light. Visualising a pentagram with gas blue flames over the area of the attachment might be worth a try as well - it depends on how "high" these entities are as to whether that would scare them away. Let us all know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Adrian.

Greetings all!

I am almost certain that the (k) was introduced by Aleister Crowley for reasons best known to himself. The popular belief is that it is supposed to differentiate "Magic" from stage tricks. I have heard alternative reasons - e.g Crowley always claimed he was "the beast who's number is 666".

But as far as I am concerned, the spelling is definitely Magic and definitely with no "k".

To me, this theory of differentiating it with stage tricks is totally and completely erroneous, because most people would not have even the slightest idea about the significance of "k" if they saw it in writing, and would not therefore concern themselves about it - they would be much more likely to think it is a spelling mistake! If you were in a situation where people were interested in discussing Magic, you would use the spelling (if the correct spelling arose)as "Magic" and explain what it really does mean. Similarly is you were involved in "Magic", you would then *know* what it really means.

I think the spelling with a "k" has become particularly popular, because Gerald Gardner of the Wicca movement got a great many of his ideas and rituals from Crowley, and hence spells things the same way, and thus popularising it. I don't have any problems at all with Wicca, or Wiccans spelling their concepts of Magic with a "k" if they so desire.

And Qui-Gon:
quote:
.. and Magic to me means something like this; Understanding and aligning yourself with the natural principles that govern the workings of our universe, and learning to use these principles in the most conscious and creative way.

I like your definition of Magic

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Violet!

Thank you very much for that fascinating past-life account!

I have a question first. I have noticed that most people who review part lives, see themselves as the same gender as their current life. Has anyone reviewed past lives and seen themselves as the other sex to their current life gender?

As for boarding school - absolutely children of that age in Britain were sent to boarding school. I believe it was quite a common practice among the wealthier classes.

Finally - I don't see why viewing the past and future should be any different in clarity. At the very top of the dimensional space-time continuum, or the "eternal now", is everything, everywhere, that has happened, is happening and ever will happen. And so, assuming you can tune into the appropriate future signal, I see no reason why it should be not as vivid as the past. The only observation I can make to account for any such differences is that we know what the past looks like in general terms, but not the future which, from a present standpoint, would be more subjective. But, at the final analysis, if you are indeed locked into that future signal, it should be true.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Bhikku!

I can only speculate wildely on this.

It might be that the intense white backdrop for your vision resulted in very little in the way of the usual complex and varied sensory input, and in a sense it resulted in a type of meditation where your mind is clear, and you can see images, possibly Astrally.

To put it another way, during day to day activity, your eyes and mind have a large amount sensory input to take in and process, and therefore swamp the subtler images and realms.

I hope that makes sense anyway - and of course I might be well off beam - it is just a thought

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Andy!

Thanks for your question!

There is an excellent chance of seeing polls here quite soon.

It is not that straightforward to integrate with forums, although definitely doable, and someone simply has to do the work. That someone is me

It is high on the agenda however, and I do agree it would be a great benefit.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings ZugZug!

I can see you have alot of research and understanding to do regarding reincarnation  - not that I confess to understand the subject to any great extent myself of course

It is conceptually straightforward enough in principle, but is in fact it is a highly complex cycle in reality.

I suggest you read what Robert Bruce has to say first, and then proceed with your research and understanding from there. Here is the URL:

http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/oobe/oobe_2.htm

Here is my broad understanding of the processes involved. Upon death, we initially project into the real-time zone which is a close reflection of physical time and reality. Some consider this to be the lowest aspect of the Astral Plane, others consider it to be a seperate buffer zone between the physical and Astral Planes. This existence lasts while there is sufficient etheric energy present in your Astra-Mental body. When the etheric energy expires, the Astra-Mental body then progresses directly to the appropriate Astral realms. Over time, the Astral body decays, and your details and experiences will be then added to the Akashic Record before continuing on to the Spirit Worlds to exist in Spirit form, within your Mental body. There might also be another four levels of Spirit realms above the Mental realm. At the appropriate time, your Spirit will, if The Divine wills it, be reincarnated again to the physical world, as your own Spirit in a new physical body. And thus the whole process continues. Of course, alot of other things might happen in the interim, and Karma is also an important consideration.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Violet!

You might like to read the excellent articles by the accomplished Nita Hickock on the main website, but here is what Nita has to say about Runes, which is most interesting:

"Astral projection can also be used to meditate on the types of energies you would like to bring into your life. A little research will unearth a wealth of symbols, runes for example, each of which has a different meaning. I project out and then visualize and create a doorway. I visualize the most appropriate rune appearing on the door. I have the door attached to a wall, with a doorknob so I can get in and out easily. I walk through the door in my astral body and enter the realm of that symbol. I ask for help with problems, ask specific questions, or simply ask to learn what I need to know. I feel what energy, vibration and pitch the symbol has, so I can draw it into my life in the real world. I then try and absorb what the experience has taught me, so I will remember and realize it better. This can be an amazing and enlightening experience.

Every symbol has its own realm. If you open yourself to its energies, it brings you into an understanding of the elements it is composed of, and of what can best help you in your life. It also opens you up to the elements involved with that symbol, so never use anything symbolizing something you do not want to experience. Many shamanic type symbols involve birth, death, and rebirth. You can almost duplicate the elements of a near death experience by using them. This gives you a way to review your life and decide what directions you would like to go in and the things you would like to experience.

You can use the symbol energies in these planes to accomplish the goals they represent. It takes careful research and thinking to pick the symbols that relate best to you, your life and its problems, and your dreams and aspirations. Some of the symbols I have used are the cross, ankh, Buddha, pentacle, and the curved spiral of shamanism.

It is important to erase and remove each doorway you create when you have finished using it. This cleans up your personal space and makes it so you don't have conflicting symbols that might cause you problems. I suggest keeping a diary of everything that you do, and rating the effect it had upon your life when you used any symbol or method. This helps remind you which symbols you have used, so with hindsight you can link it to the effects it had upon your life at that time.

A good book with meditations and exercises for each rune symbol is "Esoteric Rune Magic" by D. Jason Cooper. The Germanic runes are excellent examples of shamanic symbols. Using these will show what I mean about their different aspects, energies and the effects these can have upon your life.

All these methods are easy to do once you are capable of astral traveling. These practices can make your life easier and richer and prevent problems before they happen. Ignoring problems, or potential problems, will not make them go away. Being aware of your life, working on yourself, thanking the forces that help you and asking for advice can solve far more problems than ignoring them ever will. I believe in taking an active role in my future and helping myself along my life path. I hope that you enjoy and benefit from these methods as much as I have.

Greetings Mobius!

I just asked in another thread whether Steppenwolf was "Born to be Wild"

BTW - I did read that link you posted, thanks very much - most interesting!

As for multiple Gods - it still doesn't get around the "who came first" situation at all if you think about it. And I have thought about it in depth for nearly 40 years

I firmly believe that there is only one true "God", and who is the great Creator and Master of the Universe. The powers and presence of God are so vast as to be incomprehendable to all but the greatest Adepts and Masters. This God is the Divine.

There could well be many other deities or "demi-gods" however - I believe Robert Bruce has met several of them himself on his Astral travels.

Pagan type organisations fundamentally believe in the "One", and their pantheons of gods are all aspects of the "One" as manifested in a mascular and feminine form. They are entitled to their opinions, and which I respect, but I do think that Paganism in its various forms follow a very great over-simplification of the Divine reality.

Kind regards to all,

Adrian.

Greetings SteppenWolf!

Where you "Born to be Wild" as per the song from the great group of the same name

That gives you a clue to my age Anyone remember Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Kinks etc.?

Thanks for your post in this thread. I don't think inherent skills and talents of this sort are a "reward" as such for the work of previous lives, but rather than an accumulation of knowledge and skills (and Karma) from previous lives (which I suppose is a reward in that sense). The more you strive for, and achieve spiritual perfection and skills, the more you will take forward and on with you to future incarnations.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Pe-!

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums!

Yes - I think you have pinpointed a very important point here. Successful OBE is all about deep relaxation and trance - if you can achieve those, the exit method is a matter of choice.

Rope is particularly useful because the technique can induce some or all of the pre-requisites to a successful OBE.

I like the "trance and leave" idea you describe - that is the way it should be.

Could you describe your method (and please, anyone join in here) for relaxation and trance prior to imagining yourself out of body? If people could add to this thread with their favourite and/or most successful OBE exit procedures - that would be useful for alot of readers here.

Thanks.

Regards,

Adrian.

Greetings edguidry, and welcome to these forums!

The NEW excercises affect different people in different ways including from a sensation point of view. Ultimately of course, with dedication, most people will achieve similar beneficial results.

Robert does say that it can take people some time to feel any tangible sensations, and I believe he mentions somewhere that it even took him sometime to feel primary chakra sensations.

If I do NEW on the soles of my feet, it feels like someone is driving a six inch nail straight through my foot! I get widely varying sensations from other energy centres.

You can assume that your NEW excercises are working fine, and just proceed as you are doing without skipping any excercises.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Inguma!

Thanks for your response

My position is much more fundamental than your own it seems. LDS is a "packaged religion" just as christianity is a "packaged religion" - or "belief systems". By definition, most religions observe and teach the words of a deity (not THE God in the Kabbalistic, and Divine sense) and delivered as the words of a prophet, and interpreted by the church.

Now notwithstanding the religious perspective, and putting that aside for a moment, here is where the situation becomes much more complicated. It is likely that many of these prophets, e.g. the person known as "Christ" (and erroneously "Jesus"), were in fact great Masters or Adepts just as Hermes Trismegistus and Buddah were, among others. There have of course been other and more recent Masters or Adepts such as Franz Bardon. The teachings of these great Masters were, in my opinion, much more in line with God in the Divine sense, than the god portayed by christianity and other religions. In other words, the true word of these great people has been subsumed by a whole alternative interpretation of their legacies, most notable that of the christian bible which is the human written basis of christianity. The Old Testament, or at least the early books of it, where in fact much closer to the Kabbalah (and also form the basis of the Jewish Torah), and accordingly, rather than intended to be taken literally, were rather symbolic Ancient Hebrew. Genesis I (one) is an excellent example of this. Most of the bible, and all of the new testament is, in my opinion, entirely the work of man in building the christian religion. Christianity has been contrived for and to control the masses, and, for example, until around 350 AD it taught reincarnation. The christian church then realised that they could control people, and make them follow the christian dogma if they devised a "heaven" and "hell" concept, the latter being the place people were told they would go if they were not good christians or dared to follow alternative spiritual paths.

So the point is, christianity is a manufactured religion for the masses, and has very little, if anything, to with the quest for spiritual truth and perfection. Indeed, I have to point out, that christianity has resulted in more deaths and attrocities throughout the ages, than all the wars put together. Catholics murdering protestants and vice versa, the witch hunts, of a few hundred years ago, modern day Northern Ireland - need I go on?

You talk about teaching children the "good points" about christianity. My response is simple. Any good points that christianity might have, are the realities of other people, their ideas of what is "good" and cannot be taught as fact when they are not facts at all.

The only true and enduring religion is ones own discovered spiritual truth and which cannot be taught by others. These spiritual truths and quest for perfection can only be realised by work done with ones own spirit and individuality, and from what learns from experience in the physical, Astral and Mental realms as human being, Soul and Spirit.

To teach people christianity as it were a fact is no different to teaching them that extra terrestrial aliens are a fact, Atlantis is a fact and so on. In fact it is likely that the latter two are more factual than christianity itself. Christianity is therefore a work of fiction, and no responsible person would teach it to their children as fact.

Now here is where, with respect, you miss the point entirely as most people have done:

quote:
I just hope you are teaching them to see the good things in stuff like christianity.

You cannot teach children or anyone about packaged belief systems or religions as if they were fact!

Spiritual truth, realisation and ultimately perfection, can only be found within the person themselves. Each and every person must first disgard all dogma, fiction, hearsay etc., and discover spiritual truth, realisation and ultimately perfection for themselves. No religion, no book of teachings and no other person can do that for them. Where books are invaluable is where they give guidance as to how and where to discover these things for themselves, without actually influencing the outcome. Many great works such as the Kabbalah, Hermetic works and of course metaphysical works such as Astral Dynamics do exactly that. Those books are "maps" and "beacons" if you will, to finding your own true path.

I would go as far as to say that christianity has a great deal to answer for in preventing people from pursuing there own spirtitual paths, and more often than not persecuting people who feel the need to do so, in many different ways - including at school, and informing people and true seekers that they will surely burn for all eternity in hell for their blasphemy.

The person known as "Christ" was probably a high Adept or Master.

In summary then - you cannot "teach" something as a fact when it is not a fact, but rather the collective ideas of many people over the centuries - much of which has become distorted. And further, it is for each and every person to find their own spiritual path, truth and realisation by looking within themselves, and from then on discovering their own true path in this and many other realms of reality, and over as many lifetimes as it takes to accomplish. Such a person will be a much more sincere, pure and virtuous person, than any indoctrinated product of christianity or any other religion  - including the LDS.

Thank you for asking about my own children and their spiritual path. All of them have rejected christianity of their own accord, after several years of being taught it at school. I have never sought to influence them in this, but have always answered all questions honestly to the extent I can do. My youngest two sons ask alot of questions about astrophysics and evolution, but are not yet ready to pursue a more in depth path. My eldest son, aged 11 years, on the other hand, studies just about everything to do with evolution, astrophysics, metaphysics and spirituality generally, and has a phenomenal understanding of all these matters. I am certain he was advanced along these paths in previous incarnations, and is picking up where he left of at an early age. He was recently subjected to advanced testing at school, and has the knowledge and comprehension level of a 17 year old, and more so in spiritual matters. He acquires this information in his own dedicated and relentless quest for the truth by reading books, and in particular be means of Internet searches for information - which information he never, ever stops seeking. I am sure you can appreciate that my children will continue their own spiritual paths, and be very fine people (as they already are), with more virtues and spirituality christinianity ro any other packaged, dogmatic, belief system could ever give them.

I hope that has clarified my position somewhat

Kind regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Daniel!

I think we have now said all that can usefully be said for now regarding your LDS church, belief systems, religions, teachings etc.. I understand your position, and I respect it.

But at the very final analysis, Bhikku sums it up perfectly when he said, in response to your first post in this thread:

"It is going to come down to facing yourself in the end, no one else"

Before you can advance, spiritually, along your own true path, and your ultimate destiny, you have to know yourself totally, absolutely and honestly, and without compromise.

Even if a person believes they are decent, and they often are for the most part, it is not very difficult at all to delve deeper and deeper in critical self-analysis, to reveal the very many, often slight, often greater imperfections of ones individuality of self.

We need to go all the way to the very deepest depths of our own personalities and individualities, in order to discover every single imperfection, while being brutally honest with ones self, and disgard those imperfections absolutely completely and forever.

Only then can we embark upon and progress along the road to absolute spiritual truth and ultimately individual spiritual perfection and destiny. Such a spiritual path could take a great many lifetimes in total to fulfill, so it is best to start now.

The fact is, in summary, you need to look to, and know yourself before, and even instead of looking to, and knowing your church, in your case the LDS.

Best regards,

Adrian.

Greetings Distant Bell!

I don't propose to discuss Aleister Crowley, because as the saying goes  "the truth is out there", and he would have known full well the Karmic consequences of his interpretation of "serving God" which he is fully entitled to. I will say the man had a great intellect, and was a very prolific writer. There is also no doubt that he left a legacy of his Magic(k) that will not be forgotten in a hurry.

And lets face it, you can't fail to notice a man who signs himself:

"Winess my hand

Tau-Omicron Mu-Epsilon-Gamma-Alpha Theta-Eta-Rho-Iota-Omicron-Nu (Taw-Resh-Yod-Vau-Nunfinal): The Beast 666; Magus 9 Degree = 2Square A.' A.' who is the Word of the Aeon THELEMA; whos name is called V.V.V.V.V. 8 Degree = 3Square A.' A.' in the City of the Pyramids; OU MH 7 Degree = 4Square A.' A.'; Ol SUNOF VAORESAGI 6 Degree = 5Square, and ... ... 5 Degree = 6Square A.' A.' in the Mountain of Abiegnus: but FRATER PERDURABO in the Outer Order or the A.' A.' and in the World of men upon the Earth, Aleister Crowley of Trinity College, Cambridge."

His business cards must have been a fair size

Adrian.
