that looks like it was murder to cut

Not when you have access to a high powered laser-beam. If I could just figure out how to attach it to a shark's head...

Really, it's a glass door from my old entertainment center. I painted one side of it black, then engraved through the paint down to the glass, then used enamel glass paint. I have one more door left, though I don't know what I'll do with it yet.

On top of all of that stuff, I've seen relationships fall apart because of FB. Divorces. And people get fired for sharing what they did last weekend or saying something negative about their employer.

I had the same thing when participating in a group meditation. Even though there was a single thing everyone should be doing, it became obvious that a good number of people just did whatever they felt like doing. The discussion afterwords made me realize I do fine on my own.

Not that I wouldn't want to be part of a group... it just seems impossible to find that group.

It sounds like some people just turned Sitchin's work into a religion by adding "Satan" to it. It has to be a very recent cult. I just can't take it seriously.

The Church of Satan is the most widely known group of satanists, and they do not believe in god or satan. I believe most are atheists. Whatever symbol Christians use, they do the exact opposite, like hanging the cross upside down. It's more about making a mockery of christianity and demonstrating that evil doesn't really exist.

I've been trying to AP for about a month and i can never even get sleep paralysis i always just feel numb in my arms and legs. This is what I do

1. I sit in a sofa because i have to keep swallowing if I'm on a bed
2. i tense a part of my body for 5 sec then release and do that to all parts of my body from feet to head
3. take slow deep breaths until I'm completely relaxed
4. keep saying a word or a phrase in my head
5. keep relaxing (still doing 4)

i sometimes do this for up to 2 hours

what am i doing wrong ?  :?

btw will listening to binaural beats before doing this help ? or do i have to listen to it while doing it ?

It seems like all you're doing is relaxing. Once you're relaxed you have to move into trance and then use some sort of exit technique. But you can't just lie there waiting for something to happen... you have to make it happen.

You muscles are probably tensing because your putting too much thought into it. You can train your body to become relaxed quickly if you take your time in the beginning. (Also, stay away from sugar as much as possible).

Here's my suggestion: Spend time relaxing each part of your body. Start at your toes on one foot, move up to your foot, ankle, shin, calf, knee, etc. Don't move your awareness to the next area until the previous area feels completely relaxed. Do legs, arms, back, shoulders, torso, head. The whole process should take at least 15 minutes, and if your still not fully relaxed, do it again from the beginning. Don't even begin thinking about attempting a projection technique until you feel fully relaxed. When I say relaxed, I mean relaxed. It should feel good.

Think of relaxing as step #1 (forget about SP for now), and it will make the next steps much easier.

I couldn't help but get the feeling I was watching a single trailer for five different movies though, haha... it is hard to imagine a cohesive plot that covers all of those ideas and hooks and does so gracefully and with depth, but who knows, maybe they could pull it off

I read that it could be like a sci-fi version of The Fountain. Not necessarily the story, but how the story is told.

I would say that if you don't have a pre-existing mental health or psychological problems (who AP is not recommended for), you will be just fine. Stay grounded in reality and it won't interfere with your daily life. It should improve your life over time, not make it worse. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable about it, listen to your intuition and stop if necessary. Take your time and enjoy the process. The most proficient AP'ers here are top-notch sane people who function just fine in life.

I'm not saying there is any kind of conspiracy but why do they have to do things to make it harder.??

If anything, it's much more open and public now than it's ever been. It's been very secretive for ages and we're moving past that. There is loads of free information out there, everything a person needs to get going.

If the issue is with drugs, I would say that has to do with the drug war and drug policies, not them wanting to keep you from AP'ing. Though drugs are not the way to go to learn AP anyways. You won't gain any skills, just have a crazy uncontrolled hallucinogenic experiences. It's not the same thing.

It's true. I always wondered why people volunteer so much personal info on the net. Facebook is an amazing tool for marketers to build a profile on you: what you want, what music you listen to, what you read, what you watch, your hobbies. Google does this as well. It's scary to think companies build profiles on individuals. I'm sure for the most part it's all about marketing, but what if it gets into the wrong hands? As a consumer, you are not cared about, so you have to take care of yourself.

Are you trying to hint that there is a government conspiracy to stop people from AP'ing? There is nothing stopping anyone from doing it outside of themselves.

Hello, I've always wondered how your brain is working in your dreams. Let's say that you're lucid dreaming, and all of the sudden start working on a math equation. Would this be harder or easier to solve then in the physical state, would you have a clearer mind about the equation in the dream, or would you just be confused and drift away? Haven't you heard "Got a big decision to make? Sleep on it".

It's like when some people get a hard decision they need to make, and suddenly get their answer after a good night sleep. Is there someone here that are experienced in this matters? Would really like some answers :)

Sleeping on a decision lets your subconscious go to work while putting your analytical mind aside for a bit. Some solutions are much easier when you don't have that part of yourself in the way. I sleep on all major decisions, even if I'm already pretty sure I know what I need to do.

Things like math equations I'm not so sure about. If you're having a hard time figuring it out, something may come to you on how to figure it out, but not necessarily the answer itself, though I'm no mathematician either. Doing math in the astral is far from being a personal goal of mine.

Yeah, the book of revelations describes a personal transformation of being. They aren't external things that happen, it's symbolism of inner experiences.

Thanks PR :)  Over the weekend I built a backbox for it and put fluorescent lighting in it. I'll post another picture of it after it's fully installed and lit up.

There aren't good and evil things in a religious context, where you get rewarded or punished. I would say there are real things like love, compassion, empathy, consideration, respect... not rules, but actual thoughts and feelings that exist, so obviously there can be a lack-of. Maybe there's no punishment, but no one gains anything if these go ignored.

Someone gave me a book called "Heaven" several years back that was written by a southern baptist and taught at SB churches. It was a whole book written about what heaven is based on bible scripture, and goes into extreme detail on what will be experienced there... basically guidelines on how to get to a particular belief system territory.

I read it because I'm friends with several people who go to the same church and they were doing this as a class bible study, and someone said I HAVE to read it, so I did out of curiosity. When he asked me what I thought, I said "if you can imagine what heaven is like, it's not really heaven".

I haven't posted any art in a few weeks because I've been working on this window for my shop:

I think I've invented a new stained-glass technique, because when I was calling people in the industry looking for advice on how to do it, I kept hearing "I don't know, I've never heard of anyone wanting to do that before".
#193
When I objectively read that article I don't see anything I would consider arrogant or offensive. They don't claim to know anything, they are studying and theorizing.
Quote"The brain more than likely doesn't have a single region that is devoted to self awareness, but rather, the complex phenomenon likely emerges from much more distributed interactions between multiple brain regions," Feinstein said. "I think it is important to emphasize that the study of self-awareness in the brain is really in its early stages."

I wouldn't expect them to study non-physical aspects, because that's not what a scientist does. By learning more about how the brain works, we can eventually understand more about how our non-physical bodies/awareness interacts with the brain. Just as we're working from the non-physical side, they're working from the physical side, and someday in the future we'll meet in the middle. I'm sure of it.

Some people could care less how it all works, but I find it very fascinating. It's amazing to me how the non-physical and physical are tied together, though we're not going to fully understand it until we learn more about both aspects. I'm sure many scientists are here on earth doing what they came to do and living their passion. Just because much of science seems naive now doesn't mean it's not headed towards something much greater in the future. It's in its early stages.

We've all gotten to where we're at because of outside influences, though I'm one who believes all the information anyone needs is already freely available - you just have to take the initiative to find it. If your really into what you're doing, you'll find what you need no matter what. The more information you have in your arsenal, including things counter to what you believe, the better.

I get a lot of satisfaction by doing things on my own. I've also become pretty jaded towards anything with a "new-age" feel to it, which is most of what's being sold. I'm not saying it's all bad, just that it's not for me. I rarely relate to it.

I've mentioned this several times in the past, but I think it's possible that a lot of "aliens" are elementals that have fallen from their path, whose goal is to experience the physical world, but can't, so they use, trick, and deceive humans into believing they are all kinds of things they aren't, like gods/creators, or technologically advanced civilizations. They want our attention and for us to give up our will, whatever it takes, so they can come off as good, bad, scary, evil, or neutral. The best thing to do is not give them any attention at all - they feed off it, and if they don't get it, they'll eventually fall back into their necessary path. These are also the beings behind a lot of channeling, ouija boards, & automatic writing. Again, they'll tell you anything, as long as they get your attention (and eventually, your will).

It's not very confusing to me. It's nice to know how it works, though there's not much everyday practical application. I would guess a huge majority of people aren't aware of what their karma entails to actually use it to their advantage.

"confusion on a spiritual scale."

Care to elaborate what you mean by that?

For me, Karma in intertwined with multiple incarnations. Our higher selves create a physical life where we can gain certain experiences that we can bring back to our HS. Depending on what was actually gained and what wasn't determines other incarnations. If you miss something in one incarnation, then what was missed will be moved over to another incarnation. That's where balance come into play.

I don't believe in the stereotypical "do something bad and something bad will happen to you". I don't believe in judgements or punishments. It's just another experience to bring back with you that will help determine other incarnations.

(It's even more complicated, I just simplified it because it's Friday afternoon and I'm ready for the day to end.)

I'm familiar with Lemurian and Atlantean epochs, though I've come across a few different versions of what really went down. I'm more on par with both Theosophical & Rudolf Steiner's views on ancient history and evolution of man, but that's my own personal bias. I'm just as guilty  :-P.
