And likewise, you can practice without being spiritual lol

lol, yes of course you can be spiritual without practicing LD, AP, and those things :-) that was an oops on my part

This sounds to me more like a person, cult or a group of sick-minded people killing all these people..?
The comment up there /\ (sorry, I'm new to this) mentioned that this is an Astral Projection forum, and that's why we have little knowledge about this kind of stuff, and I agree. Why not post this info somewhere more relevant? :-)
I'm not insulting anybody here, IMO this whole thing seems a little far-fetched, but there are many things beyond our understanding, however if you were to introduce this stuff to the people who are interested in this, you may recieve more info and responses that you are looking for.
I apologize for my criticism, but we are all entitled to our own opinions, yes?  :-) All the best!

phew, where to begin..

First of all, thank you for sharing your story. You have an ability to Lucid dream without trying, which is difficult to do for even experienced metaphysical people.
I'm generally new to this too, so bear with me here.

This is a theory
There are countless different planes, while Lucid dreaming you are shifting your awareness from the physical plane into the mental plane.
While lucid dreaming, you are completely aware that you are dreaming and you are able to make your own choices, you can feel pain, and you are completely aware of your 'body' and everything that is. Many of the beings in the Mental plane seem disoriented, like they are just there to act as a background. There are also beings who are intelligent and very spiritual, and beings who are threatening and rude.
Lucid dreaming can at times seem more realistic than Astral Projecting. There is controversy as to whether or not these beings can physically harm you or not, seeing as you technically are DREAMING, however if you follow the 'Mental Plane' theory then you are actually shifting awareness to the mental plane, which may in turn leave you vulnerable to different things.

When you sleep, if you can shift your point of awareness from your physical body into your Astral 'body', you can exit your physical body(I'm aware this isn't the correct term, but I'm drawing a blank as to what it's called right now) and enter the Real time zone. In the real time zone, you will act as a 'ghost' (meaning people will not be able to see you, but you are active in this time and space and can witness and experience events that are taking place at this time). Once you get into the Real time zone, you can enter the Astral planes many ways.
There are believed to be 7 levels of planes, each level containing 7 sub-levels, and those sub-levels containing 7 levels, etc. The 7 main levels are believed to represent the 7 chakras. Usually, you will oly be able to enter the lower Astral planes, which may seem dreary and have some lost/dwelling spirits on them. The lowest Astral planes may even have angry spirits, or beings that were never human at all, things resembling demons and that such. You will usually not be able to stay there for a long time, because the vibration rate is very low there and you will be automatically transferred to a higher plane than these.
The higher Astral planes can be described as places of unexplainable beauty, peace, happiness, love and Source. Source is everything that you are, and everything in the Universe.

What you described in your story (being able to control things, etc.) sounds like Lucid dreaming.  While Lucid dreaming, you are aware of your physical body, and can therefore feel/experience pain or pleasure, such as eating, drinking, scraping your knees, etc.
It sounds like you are experienced with Lucid dreaming, and you must have a gift for it, I don't know very much about it other than the basics. I suggest reading/studying these kinds of things if you are interested, because it can lead to Enlightment and Spiritual journeys and closeness you didn't even think possible...

Cheers!

These posts actually remind me of the whole '2012, end of the world, doomsday approaching, the start of a new Era' theory..

Although I'm relatively new at this kind of stuff, from what I've read, if you send love and feelings of warmness, and you embrace this hostile creature, it should help the situation immensly. There are all sorts of beings out there, some of them like to play mind games with you or even threaten you, but the most important thing to realize is that they can not hurt you. You have all the power. If you want them to leave you, strongly command them to do so, or ask your higher self to banish them.. But alot of people have good results with just sending these creatures kindness and love. Love conquers all

eek, I have to admit that I sped through almost your entire first post, trying to understand it makes my head hurt.. That sounds like some Einstein stuff!   :-)
Might I ask, what exactly is a 'gray'? Like an alien or something?

It sounds like the entire thing may have been a very convincing lucid dream?
Although I'm pretty new to this so what do I know

Alright, that makes sense. Thank you.

So far, I have practiced and tried AP'ing every day, sometimes twice a day for a month and a half. At one point, I got what I believe are my Astral arms up, the weird thing is that if I tried physically moving my body would actually move. :|
I felt my astral arms raise a bit but it was like I was fighting through something extremely thick, it took me about 10 minutes just to get my arms straight up in the air, but even so I still felt like if I moved, my physical body would actually move. I decided that this substance was just too thick and it had drained my energy almost completely, so I gave up and came out of the trance.
My astral arms were also quite cold.

Was this all in my head or did I actually get my arms out?

First of all, hello everybody, and Namaste! :-)
I've been studying Astral Projection for about a month and a half now, but I've also studied Lucid dreaming because of the connection between the two.. well, that I believe there is.
Last night, I attempted to Astral Project (as usual), but unfortunately I had such a busy day and had much trouble staying awake, I got to the point of hearing weird noises (static?) and a loud ringing, feeling like things were touching my legs and Astral vision, and then I fell asleep.
Anyways, I have made a habit of stopping numerous times a day and asking out loud "Am I dreaming?" And assessing my situation, verifying whether or not I am awake, because I learned that if you do this then you will out of habit ask those questions in a dream and from there can take control of them.
Last night I dreamt I was in a house with pitbulls, and I asked myself if I was dreaming, at the time I realized I was and tried to take control of it. During the time I felt like I was wide awake, and I remember little pieces of my dream, I tried blinding these vicious(ugh) dogs and changing the scene but it didn't work. I'm not too sure what happened in this dream but after the whole vicious dog situation, I remember flying upwards, through the roof of some weird pointy shaped black building, and up towards the starry sky, saying I was going to see outer space. I felt my stomach getting sick from going so fast, churning, and I felt light as a feather.

Now, I would have said that this was an AP experience but if so, why was I in that situation with the dogs? I couldn't put my arms through anything either.  Was this just a very vivid dream? Thinking back on it, I can't remember as much, and I don't feel like I was as aware as I felt in the dream.
