I've been trying to get physical and non-physical to stick for like months, but no one caught on.

Me, NoY and Xanth talked about this in IRC today.

Ketamine is used in veterinary applications, but it is also used as a pediatric anesthetic.  Yep, they give it to little people.

The biggest reason its still used is because it doesn't suppress the breathing rate as much as other anesthetics.

It's abused because it causes a severe case of dissociation from the body where people feel like they're sunk deep inside themselves, thus the term "K hole".

There is an infinite amount of subtle states of awareness.  Trying to classify them is just trivial.  That's the "Mind" trying to control what it doesn't understand.

I've had that happen before.

I was trying to project and i fell asleep and dreamed that i successfully projected and flew around my neighborhood. 

It seemed like i "separated" from my body and experienced something that was similar to my OBEs, but it didn't feel like an OBE.  It almost felt like a LD but not quite.

It's actually freakier than that.  My room was pitch black dark everytime except for small little slits of light coming through the window blinds.  As I was pulled through my room over and over I saw what looked like a black shadow un-dead hyena.  Each time I was pulled through the wall into another copy of my room there were more and more of these shadow dogs.  By the time I would get thrown back to my body (or the one time i stopped it) the room was almost full of these creatures.  They never touched me but they were trying to grab a bite of me.

I've had something kind of similar happen. 

I got grabbed by the feet and pulled through endless copies of my room.

It was a little different because i could feel myself being pulled by my feet.

This happened a few times in a row when i would project. 

Ultimately I just grabbed at my ankles one day and felt "hands" so i pried them off and it never happened again.

Based on my experiences over the past number of years I have come to see a transition taking place.

Though, I don't find it to be anything dramatic per se.  More like evolution.  My perspective is similar to the traditions of Toltec Shamans in that the evolution of a species begins on an energetic level which impacts the physical manifestation.  I think that including this energetic perspective makes more sense out of human development.  I don't see it happening in the next 2 years though. 

Where did all of confucious' wisdom get him though? Dead, that's where.  lol

vipassana, i didn't buy into psychic stuff either.  but then i got a job working for and with them and i have come to understand the "phenomenon" much better.  it's not really a belief kind of thing for me anymore.  it's just a given.  but i also know that i'm just as much of a psychic as any of the ones i work with and so are you.  they have just practiced a lot more.

but in all honesty, who really cares.  i get it, people care about the guy.  but for the "new" folks who never knew frank and know nothing of him but the posts he left behind, does it really matter why he left?

don't get caught up on the trivial parts novice projectors.  use what was left for you and evolve beyond it.

I'm trying hard to be sensitive, but I really want to tell you that you're absolutely insane and someone should call the nearest mental ward and have you carted off.

There's nothing wrong with you.  You can see.  In many circles, that is a gift to be envied.  You are capable of peering into the non-physical, which is what many of us here try to do on a regular basis with out astral projection practices.  We have to work our butts off, but you have been given easy access.  Don't fear it.  None of these "ghosts" can hurt you and you obviously have some guidance watching out for you.  I think you'd do good to begin practicing.  Even the best psychic still has to "exercise their muscle".
